“J&L is a small local grocery of the sort that has almost died out. But since Crockett isn't home to a big grocery store it is immensely convenient to have in town. The selection is surprisingly good for such a small store and the people are friendly and helpful. Get a copy of the Crockett Signal while you are in there.”
“Small and plenty. The location and parking is quick and easy. The vendors and quality is great. I was able to get the yummiest spicy hummus and fresh pita chips. Produce and the deals were great and very nice customer service. I posted a pic (1/2 eaten) of J & J Farms Trail mix because for $5 not only was it a great amount the nuts are fresh and the raisins were plump and juicy. I'd like more raisins personally. Now I know why my in-laws are often wanting this farmers market to be in their Saturday morning routine. Next time, I'm getting some authentic Filipino cuisine, Dinuguan and got to try some lumpia because one must treat themselves. Also. I've been looking for local honey and this spot also has a vendor.”
“The best place for your purchases in Vallejo Ca, anyway everywhere is expensive? I especially love that I can always call and place the order for the butcher shop whenever I arrive, the butcher already has it ready for me in the bag just to pick it up I no longer have to be in line waiting until everyone passes by, at Cardenas house it happened to me that I waited up to 15 meters or more because there were a lot of people in line now I no longer have that problem and in general they have everything that is needed for the kitchen I also make my money transfers there, and the staff is very friendly in general, I recommend this store♥️”

I do my Grocery at Berkeley most of the times. I went to El-Cerrito branch yesterday, I do have back pain so it hard to pick items a lot of times from the floor or shelves. I went to get a cart after I found I need one and I two items fall on the floor while I was trying pick it up, one of the staff Amazing person she came helped me with pick up items She was nice friendly I forget to see her name or asked her [American African tall lady ] at costumers services front desk she was great Thank you ? !”
“First time there! Got a lot of goodies packed in there. Fresh Sugar Cane all neatly packaged in a refrigerated section. The selection of Asian Drinks I was searching for in another fridge section :) Rooster Siracha at a better price than Ranch 99, and it might be the original stock too with is brighter red color.
After a nice chat with the lady shop keeper, I assured her I'll be back soon!”
“1-12-2024 the store was totally in great shape with new improvements on shelving units and well stocked products are offered.

“This little corner store had what I needed. Ice cream and pastries. The prices were high as could be expected. It was worth it for the convenience. They also accept Cal-fresh (food stamps). Not crowded.”
“This is a great local grocery store with better produce than Safeway and much more convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful and they don't need multiple security guards and gates at the exit. They also carry great local products that are better than national brands. This is my go to for day-to-day groceries.”

“Could not ask for a better neighborhood market. When I first moved to the area a decade ago, it was under different management and a dark, dreary shell of what it has become. The new owners have turned it around so much; it feels nicer in some way practically every time I come in. It has long been our place to go when we quickly need a certain ingredient or two, but I now find myself not getting certain produce when I shop at TJs or Luckys because I know that what Central Foods has is consistently better: particularly kale, citrus, corn, and melon. Staff is super friendly and helpful, and the taco truck in the parking lot beats any fast food for taste, price, quality and speed.”
“Someone told me about this place they have a variety of excellent meats. It's always fresh and comes in bundles if you choose. The prices are reasonable and they take (Cash, EBT,Debit) for your items to purchase. Soooo what are you ? waiting for? Come one, come all you won't be sorry for your selections you choose. “This is a convenient location for locals being centrally located in town. I was so happy when he added the chicken to his operation. The chicken and sides are really good it is hard to walk inside and smell the chicken without wanting to leave with some. It is usually cooked fresh when ordered but even if it is already prepared I have never received it when it wasn't fresh. The chicken is great and you have to try the biscuits they are so good. The owner can be a little unpredictable as far as his moods sometimes he is friendly other times he is on the edge of downright rude.I have also been overcharged there once or twice. After I left I would think it wasn't right and went over the costs in my head and realized I was over charged at times his prices aren't consistent. Seems as though he is rounding up and he seems to do this when he is in one of his moods. However I still shop there the prices are reasonable for a convenient store. He has a great inventory and of course the chicken is great as well as the shop is exceptionally clean. I am used to his moody personality but he did lose a whole star because of this, it is understandable to have your good and bad days, but he seems to have one to many and at times he has been so rude it was hurtful.”
