“Need a 12V Battery Replacement? My 2012 (240K+ mile) Prius didn't start due a dead 12v battery. It lasted 12 years since I drove it off the dealership. I called around my local big box auto stores and was quoted over $300 for the battery and learn that Toyota Prius was excluded from their free battery installation service. I figure the battery was located in the trunk/rear of the car which made it more complicated than others. I definitely wasn't comfortable switching this out myself. After a few calls to stores for price and product availability, I shot Hybrid Experts a text and was given the best price with free installation over the phone. (I won't reveal the price here but trust me, H.E. is truly passing the savings to us). I arrived on my scheduled time and was again, welcomed with a smile by the Owner. This is a Wednesday afternoon, the shop was busy with customers, all during a heat wave of 105 degrees. You got the Owner trouble shooting and calling for parts, the Son rushing back to install his last piece, all done with a smile and for the customer. So onto my car... My new battery I was expecting to be a generic brand or something our big box stores would carry like Duracell, etc.. based off the price quoted to me over the phone. I was 100% wrong, H.E. got a Toyota Brand 12v, the exact battery that lasted 12 years when i drove it off the lot. This was a sweet surprise and it shows they only use quality parts and trusted brands which is backed by their warranty. I'm confident that I found the best guys in the business here. I've had times where I needed help with a diagnostic and they were able to run a scan for sensors/fuses right there on the spot. Returns have been easy, when necessary. “My headlight burnt out. I called this shop on California Avenue in Mountain view, and they found the right bulb for my car. I brought in the car, and struggled to change the bulb myself in my parking space in front of the store. The sweet salesperson who had sold me the bulb saw me through the window, clearly figured out that I had no idea what I was doing, and came out to help. In a few minutes, he figured out how to remove the old bulb and replace it with the new, not so straightforward a process. He was kind, polite, not condescending, very understanding and sweet. His name is Oscar and he ROCKS. He is a lovely young man, and he makes this store look really good. He absolutely refused to take money, which is further evidence of his integrity. If you go to this store and need advice or help, ask for Oscar.”

“Since the battery probably died due to its advanced years, once we got the car jump started, we got the battery replaced at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I think he was the only person there Sunday evening, but he replaced it quickly, which we really appreciated; I didn't want to get with another jump start the next morning.”

Every time I come in here, I'm impressed by the workers. They are always knowledgeable and know the things they sell.
I once bought coolant and the worker asked if I wanted a funnel. That saved me. Thank you, yes.
Today, I grabbed a bottle of Versachem and the store worker downsold me. He told me if I'm working on one car, they have a small tube which saved me $11! :)
Things here are always on the pricey side, but I'm always happy to pay it for the support I get.
