“I stopped by Soto in Sherman Oaks while I was in the area for a laser appointment (I live in Santa Monica and rarely make it out to the Valley unless I have something scheduled). I had a little time and was looking for a cute lounge set to wear for work and running errands, so I asked ChatGPT for boutique recommendations in the area and Soto Sherman Oaks was one of the places suggested before I even checked Yelp or Google. That alone made me curious to stop in.
First of all, this is an excellent place if you like to shop on your own without someone hovering over you the entire time; no pushy sales energy, which I personally appreciate. I was able to browse comfortably and take my time.
I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for — the cutest lounge set. They had it in black, pink, and blue, and I went with the blue one. I also picked up a pair of sunglasses and a really cute choker necklace. They have a nice selection overall — shoes, jewelry, friendship bracelets, bags, accessories — lots of fun pieces.
The pricing is on the higher side, but the quality definitely feels better than what you’d order online. You can tell the pieces are more thoughtfully curated.
The only thing I would mention is that greeting customers when they walk in makes a big difference. When I came in, no one greeted me or smiled. One of the sales associates, Michaela, walked by a couple of times and didn’t acknowledge me at first, even when I smiled. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it did stand out. Once I tried on a few outfits and initiated the interaction myself, she was pleasant and helpful. The other sales associate (I didn’t catch her name) was also lovely.
Parking was easy. I found street parking right away.
Overall, I had a good experience and found some lovely pieces. If you’re in the area and like discovering fun, trendy items without feeling pressured, it’s worth stopping in.”
“I stopped by this Zumiez store inside Westfield Sherman Oaks to look at their skateboard collections. My wife was shopping at a store nearby so instead of waiting for here there, I came to this store. I went straight to look at their skateboard collections and they had some nice one along with the price being very fair. I also took a look at some clothing they had because of the extended black Friday sale deal. They have some watches closer to where you walk in as well if you're interested in that.”
“This is a useful stop when you’re already at Fashion Square and need clothes, shoes, cologne, makeup, gifts, or something for the house. I like having a full department store in the mall because it makes last-minute shopping a lot easier, especially when you don’t want to run all over the Valley.
Some parts feel a little older, and the experience can depend on how busy it is or whether you can find help, but overall it’s convenient and still a solid place to shop in Sherman Oaks.”

“We stopped by this store today because my wife saw some sweather on their windows display so we went inside. The staff are very friendly here and helpful with my wife when she had questions on their clothing. They also told me that they have a man chair for me to sit down while my wife was trying on clothes. This place is a decent size and had some good deals going on for Cyber Monday. My wife also signed up with their credit card to save more in her purchase. She got a red sweater to wear for Christmas.”

“I stopped by this Banana Republic store inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall today while my wife was returning an item at another store nearby. The moment you walk inside this store, you'll feel like you're in a luxury store because everything is set up like it is. The store is very open, bright, quiet and smells nice. I stayed mostly in the men's area and looked at their items. My friend were a lot of Banana Republic clothing so I was looking for items for him as a Christmas gift. I saw some stuff that I thought would be nice for him but haven't brought it yet.”
“My wife and I stopped by this Finish Line inside Macy today because it was the first store open so we were shopping inside. My wife wanted to try on the slip on shoes and I had some Macy rewards to use before it expires. The 2 men working today was very nice to my wife when she was asking for some sizes and different colors if they have it. She like 1 particular shoes but they didn't have it in store but the gentleman said he can place a online order for us. My wife checked the price online and it was cheaper so they were able to price match it. We were satisfy with our experience here today.”
“My wife wanted to stop by this Lucky Brand store while we were shopping inside Westfield Sherman Oaks mall. I took her to the store inside Orange outlet mall so she wanted to know if she can exchange items here. When we walked inside the store, they were not busy at all and was very easy to approach. They told us that you can exchange an item here from other Lucky store as long as they have it in the store. We then looked around to see if they carry the same stuff as the outlet but they didn't.”

“I want to take a minute of my precious time to recognize a young man who went above and beyond to help me today. I asked for a sequin skirt and the first employee said they were ALL sold out, but then I asked this young man named ANGEL if could try on the skirt the mannequin was wearing, and this employee WOWED ME. He told me that the skirt on the mannequin was a size small and then found the skirt in my size with an unusual device in the VERY CORNER of the store, the last skirt in my size. I was kind of shocked at his customer service skills for I already accepted that service in retail had long departed but Angel proved me wrong. He should be recognized for his outstanding service.
