“Your sales people really know the products you carry. They know the drop of different running shoes, whether they are for neutral/pronating/supinating feet, and which styles come in different widths. They even volunteer the information the you may be due a reward on your current purchase. I had some unexpected things happen on a custom order I had on Hoka shoes. Every person I dealt with took ownership of the problem to get it resolved. I won't be buying athletic shoes anywhere else.”

Came in for a saddle (saw they carried specialized saddles which were recommended to me) and got excellent service from everyone in the store. Chris especially helped me and went the extra mile to make sure it really fit for me after it was installed and that my bike was adjusted properly and accommodated my injuries. “Sonja went above and beyond to be helpful after an insane debacle with Keen Central. Basically, Keen had a batch of Versacore in the color Primose/Alloy size 6.5 that were mislabeled/missized which they vehemently denied was possible. 3 pairs and 6 Keen people later I gave up being treated poorly (Keen Central not Palo Alto store) and called the Palo Alto store. Sonja took time to measure the shoes to help confirm that the pair of 6.5's they had in stock in a different color were indeed smaller and true to size. She then held the shoes until I could arrange to be in the area to try them on and buy them. An associate validated that the shoes I had received were indeed bigger than they should have been and measured my feet and explained the measurements to me.
Sonja was so nice and apologized for all I went thru and expressed that this was very atypical. She encouraged me to try on different styles to explore fit. She was very knowledgeable about all of the shoes I tried on and Keens as a company. Ultimately She helped me get a pair of appropriately sized Versacore in a different color for very close to the sale price from what I had ordered from Keen.
She even was so kind that she found a pair of colored laces to make the replacement pair closer to the color I had been hoping for.

“The owner of the shop is incredibly chill and knowledgeable. Helped me get a perfect longboard setup, even though the boards come as complete sets, he let me swap out some wheels and bearings and the prices were super reasonable. Also, if you're looking for the Baker Tim Robinson board, they have a few of the cosmic gumbo and the hotdog one, as of yesterday-just gotta ask about them!
(Just a note this is an old review so idk about the Baker boards, but still a fantastic shop!)”

“This place is always stocked. I like coming here if I am in the area. The fitting room is available to try on merchandise but must request it with an employee. Prices are reasonable, place is tidy and organized and they carry many cool top notch brands. Lots of parking.”
“My daughter is new to lacrosse and she recently broke the top string (sorry for my total lack of knowledge) on her stick. We headed up from Southbay to Sling it to get it restrung. We had a great experience. George was great answering all of my young daughter’s tons of questions about the sport and equipment. He just was so good with her. George was able to restring the part we needed too while we waited. She was excited to use her stick at practice that night. We definitely will be back when she’s ready to upgrade her equipment and the 45 min drive was well worth it.”

“Needed some quick maintanence on a couple of my balls and Ray took care of me in just a few minutes. He adjusted my thumbhole as it was too tight. He opened it up a little on the sides and beveled the edge a bit help with a smooth release. Then on another ball, my finger inserts were way too big and we swapped them out for proper fitting ones. Great service at a reasonable price. I'll definitely be back.”

“Demo program really worth the money, I used to buy a rf97 just because I like fed and after trying 20 rackets in the demo program I realized that rf97 is not the one for me. So if you never own a racket before, I really really recommend going thru their demo program before your purchase.
Folks are really friendly, helpful and they really know each racket on the market, Howard helped us majority of the time and I cannot express how much I appreciate his knowledge”
“Terry and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. When it comes to club repair and maintenance, I am extremely picky about who works on my clubs. Every time I take clubs in for cuts, regrips, reshafts, lie and loft adjustments, they are spot on. The best repair shop in the South Bay! I had a bad experience with PGA Tour Superstore in Cupertino when they butchered a simple putter regrip. I only trust Terry and his shop with my clubs. Highly recommended!”

“I really like their frequent discount coupons, frequent sales, especially their one and three day coupons, they have valuable savings, consistently, which I really like. Any sporting goods items you can think of is here at Big 5. Been coming to their various stores since the 80's. Good selections of shoes. Too bad they no longer sell rifles & shotguns, as they had some really great prices on those in the past. Make sure you're subscribed to Big 5 coupons, as they have amazing deals on Ammo, many times $15.00 for 9mm 50 count, sometimes no limit. Go buy your ammo now before July 1st, as ammo will go up 11% on July 1.”
“This is a good place to play badminton with friends. We went here after reserving a badminton court online.
There is a small badminton shop inside too. You can rent racquets for 5$ each and it costs 50$ to reserve the badminton court for an hour.”
