Healthy Pet
67 N Reino Rd, Thousand OaksThis review is for Ron. He was great. I went in because I found a flea on my cat & was kinda freaking out, wanting to see if there were any products I'd feel comfortable using. I actually went in two times that day. The first time he spent quite a bit of time w/ me & I ended up buying just a double bladed flea comb that he recommended. The 2nd time was after I used the comb & found more fleas. Ugh. Both times he was friendly & amazing at listening to my concerns about strong chemicals if avoidable, or essential oils that are advertised to naturally treat fleas but are actually harmful to cats. He spent time standing there w/ me looking through all the ingredients of many different products (they have a great selection). Also, he used to be a groomer so he had some knowledge based on that. He really seemed to care & his support meant a lot to me. If you have a need or question, go see Ron! And Ron, I hope you read this. Thank you, I appreciate you.

Healthy Pet
1775 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksI visited Healthy Pet to find new brands and flavors of canned cat food, since my cat had become very finicky. I found that they not only carried the usual flavors of cat food, but also rabbit. I purchased several cans to try out. Their prices are not the cheapest, but their selection is very broad.

PetSmart
2685 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksAbsolutely loved this place and how they helped me so much when it came to questions about puppies and their habits and they don't even make you feel bad when you have to get a muzzle, as if you fail them but let me say, they also have dog training classes here and it's so convenient because you have your pet supply also here. The important part is, they also don't badmouth other pet supply stores because you feel like there is a community with all of them. They have a shared goal and that is, the love of animals with the employees

Indiana Bones and the Temple of Groom
1321 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksThis place ROCKS! The name alone sealed the deal for me … to say nothing of the kindness and professionalism of the staff. My dog came back smelling like a geranium, with a clean, soft, freshly trimmed coat — they made adjustments on the spot for me and my little pup is happy as a lark ?? (and so are we!)

Mary's Pet Salon
2681 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksMary goes above and beyond grooming our dogs. She is super sweet to them and they aren't stressed in her salon because she only ever has a couple of dogs in her salon at once. We are very particular about how we like our cavapoo and king charles groomed and Mary always exceeds our expectations. Her prices are comparable to other groomers in the area but her golf star service far surpasses the other salons.

Acupuncture For Pets
740 Paseo De Leon, Thousand OaksMy dog was having such bad neck pain that she could hardly walk. Dr Fernandez worked on her back and neck using acupuncture and cold lasers, and brought my dog comfort she hadn't felt in days! She started the appointment panting in pain and ended it asleep on a pillow, so relaxed. I was unable to find the recommended neck support collar in any local stores, so she talked me through making a brace at home and it has worked perfectly!Dr Fernandez is amazing, and I'm so grateful for her services!! She is very knowledgeable, good with animals, intuitive, and skillful.

Newbury Bark
138 N Madrid Ave, Thousand OaksLisa and Anton are wonderful. My puppy Finley just got his vaccinations completed and was in doggy day care for the first time with Newbury Bark. We had a meet and greet the week prior to ensure he'd get along with the other animals. Yesterday we picked him up from Lisa and Anton after a full day of care. We had received numerous pictures, videos, and updates to put our minds at ease. He was so relaxed and happy. They were so affectionate to him and the other dogs. I'm so grateful to have found them through their excellent reviews. I will be using Newbury Bark for all my doggy daycare and boarding needs.

2626 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksThis obscure little restaurant is definitely one to visit. If I was just driving by, I wouldn't have stopped. But, their great reviews led us here en route to LA. The food was outstanding, very tasty and reasonably priced. Their staff was pleasant and attentive, and kept things clean. We were very glad we stopped, adding this as a new favorite!

The only thing better than the food here is the service, we were made to feel so welcomed and nothing was too much trouble.
Would highly recommend anyone to stop by and try this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Side Street Cafe
996 Lawrence Dr, Newbury ParkSide Street Cafe is a lovely hidden gem. Well, maybe it's not so hidden - it always seems bustling, but never crowded.
The food is standard diner fare, satisfying and enjoyable. The coffee is passable, but it's served in the most random mugs, which I absolutely love.
The service is quick, friendly, but nothing that makes a lasting impression, generally. You'll get in, get a solid meal, and get going. No need to complicate things.

Little Calf Creamery And Cafe
652 E Janss Rd, Thousand OaksThe food is very good. My hub and I recently placed an online order to pickup because we were in a hurry to get somewhere. We placed our order online via their website, and arrived when the order was promised. The restaurant was not abnormally busy. We waited 10 minutes to get the food, staff didn't seem to be concerned about it being late, and the order was not right.
However, I will reiterate - their food is good.

Historia Bakery Cafe
11 B E Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksI love this bakery, partly because it is a unique and quirky small business in a sea of malls and chains - but also because the pastries are beautiful and tasty, and the coffee is wonderful. The owners make their customers feel very welcome, and are clearly passionate about chess - they offer a comfortable space and sets for guests to play while visiting.
I don't live in Thousand Oaks but try to incorporate a visit to this bakery whenever I am in town. If only I could eat as many baked goods as I wished!
