Healthy Pet
67 N Reino Rd, Thousand OaksThis review is for Ron. He was great. I went in because I found a flea on my cat & was kinda freaking out, wanting to see if there were any products I'd feel comfortable using. I actually went in two times that day. The first time he spent quite a bit of time w/ me & I ended up buying just a double bladed flea comb that he recommended. The 2nd time was after I used the comb & found more fleas. Ugh. Both times he was friendly & amazing at listening to my concerns about strong chemicals if avoidable, or essential oils that are advertised to naturally treat fleas but are actually harmful to cats. He spent time standing there w/ me looking through all the ingredients of many different products (they have a great selection). Also, he used to be a groomer so he had some knowledge based on that. He really seemed to care & his support meant a lot to me. If you have a need or question, go see Ron! And Ron, I hope you read this. Thank you, I appreciate you.

Healthy Pet
1775 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksI visited Healthy Pet to find new brands and flavors of canned cat food, since my cat had become very finicky. I found that they not only carried the usual flavors of cat food, but also rabbit. I purchased several cans to try out. Their prices are not the cheapest, but their selection is very broad.

PetSmart
2685 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksAbsolutely loved this place and how they helped me so much when it came to questions about puppies and their habits and they don't even make you feel bad when you have to get a muzzle, as if you fail them but let me say, they also have dog training classes here and it's so convenient because you have your pet supply also here. The important part is, they also don't badmouth other pet supply stores because you feel like there is a community with all of them. They have a shared goal and that is, the love of animals with the employees

Pet Grooming

Barkingham Palace
783 Pamela Wood St, Thousand OaksI honestly don’t know if I love Jaycee more or if my dogs do. I have a rescued golden with pretty severe anxiety, and trusting anyone with her has always been hard for me. The idea of handing my dogs over to someone I can’t watch the entire time used to feel impossible. A few years ago, though, I took a chance on Jaycee—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my pups.
From the very beginning, she showed incredible patience, kindness, and care. She didn’t just groom my dogs—she took the time to understand them, to meet them where they were, and to gently earn their trust. That meant more to me than I can even put into words. Watching my anxious golden slowly light up around her, and now seeing both of my dogs literally dance with excitement when she arrives, has been the greatest gift.
Jaycee isn’t just a groomer to us—she’s become a person my dogs adore and someone I deeply trust. If you’re nervous, hesitant, or protective of your pets the way I am, I can promise you this: choosing Jaycee is something you will never regret. ❤️

Indiana Bones and the Temple of Groom
1321 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksThis place ROCKS! The name alone sealed the deal for me … to say nothing of the kindness and professionalism of the staff. My dog came back smelling like a geranium, with a clean, soft, freshly trimmed coat — they made adjustments on the spot for me and my little pup is happy as a lark ?? (and so are we!)

Mary's Pet Salon
2681 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksMary goes above and beyond grooming our dogs. She is super sweet to them and they aren't stressed in her salon because she only ever has a couple of dogs in her salon at once. We are very particular about how we like our cavapoo and king charles groomed and Mary always exceeds our expectations. Her prices are comparable to other groomers in the area but her golf star service far surpasses the other salons.

Acupuncture For Pets
740 Paseo De Leon, Thousand OaksMy dog was having such bad neck pain that she could hardly walk. Dr Fernandez worked on her back and neck using acupuncture and cold lasers, and brought my dog comfort she hadn't felt in days! She started the appointment panting in pain and ended it asleep on a pillow, so relaxed. I was unable to find the recommended neck support collar in any local stores, so she talked me through making a brace at home and it has worked perfectly!Dr Fernandez is amazing, and I'm so grateful for her services!! She is very knowledgeable, good with animals, intuitive, and skillful.

Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks
1772 E Avenida De Los Arboles F, Thousand OaksBrought my new rescue pup to see Dr. Milburn after my neighbor told me how great her dog was treated. Have to say I was very happy with the staff and felt welcomed.
Everyone seemed to love my boy Buster and he could not stop wagging his tail. They offered him treats and snacks which he gobbled up. Dr. Milburn was a great doc and took time to answer all my questions. Happy to have found our new vet!

Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital
3580 Willow Ln, Thousand OaksOur 14 year old pup Cashie was seen for issues with his teeth. Everyone - the doctor, vet tech and front office staff - were very informative, friendly and provided great care. They referred us to a cardiologist to determine the best anesthesia medication for our senior dog so Cashie can receive the dental care he needs. We appreciated this so much because this will provide the best outcome for our pup. Previously, our two cats and German Shepherd have also received care at Conejo Valley Vet Clinic - we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Newbury Bark
138 N Madrid Ave, Thousand OaksLisa and Anton are wonderful. My puppy Finley just got his vaccinations completed and was in doggy day care for the first time with Newbury Bark. We had a meet and greet the week prior to ensure he'd get along with the other animals. Yesterday we picked him up from Lisa and Anton after a full day of care. We had received numerous pictures, videos, and updates to put our minds at ease. He was so relaxed and happy. They were so affectionate to him and the other dogs. I'm so grateful to have found them through their excellent reviews. I will be using Newbury Bark for all my doggy daycare and boarding needs.

Rustico
1125 Lindero Canyon Rd, Thousand OaksFor as packed as it was, it wasn't as noisy as you'd expect. The food was exceptional, the waiter was amazing (although he had no personality) - he had the entire menu memorized!
The Manhattan was weak and the barware uncomfortable to hold. So I would give the bar 3 1/2 stars. But everything else was very good. Was it worth the drive from Tarzana? Probably only if you are someone that has to try a new Italian place. Would I go back? Not if I was buying. The prices are way too high for what it is. $60 for sea bass in an Oak Park shopping center? Nah...

Little Calf Creamery And Cafe
652 E Janss Rd, Thousand OaksThe food is very good. My hub and I recently placed an online order to pickup because we were in a hurry to get somewhere. We placed our order online via their website, and arrived when the order was promised. The restaurant was not abnormally busy. We waited 10 minutes to get the food, staff didn't seem to be concerned about it being late, and the order was not right.
However, I will reiterate - their food is good.
