Petite Tail Dog Grooming
18226 Prairie Ave, TorranceI used to be a dog groomer, so I know that there are a lot of frustrated, short tempered dog groomers out there unfortunately. The groomers at petite tails are so gentle and good at what they do. They have the perfect standard cuts and fusion styles.
I still groom my own dog to save money, but I am alway lazy on nail trims, so I bring them in to the sweet groomers at petite. There are alway dogs with the most perfect Asian fusion cuts in the waiting area. Their scissor work is perfection and they have the awards to prove it.
The prices are pretty good too if you are used to paying to get your dog groomed.
If you have a small dog, I could not recommend them enough.

She already helped our little beauty become more comfortable with being held and handled, which was so important to me since this is my child’s first pet. I really wanted this to be a positive, safe, and interactive experience for them, and I’m so grateful for all of Destiny’s guidance and support.

My sweet little Olive always comes home in a good mood and with an adorable “fur”cut … I was taking Olive to the vet multiple times every summer to the ER for blockages and it turns out it was her fur! Rose has remedied that for us and has been so kind the whole way. No ER visits since and Olive looks adorable! All my neighbors stop and giggle and have to pet her now. It’s the cutest thing ever. When I first brought Cali, my rescue pup, she was extremely sensitive to sounds, nervous around new dogs, and unsure of herself in group settings. She had a traumatic start to life, so I was really hoping to find a safe, supportive place where she could slowly come out of her shell.
From day one, the coaches and staff at Dogtopia were incredible. They were gentle, patient, and attentive to Cali’s unique needs. They didn’t force her to interact or push her boundaries, they let her warm up on her own timeline, which I so appreciated. The staff consistently communicated how she was doing, and that gave me so much peace of mind.
Now? Cali is thriving. She’s confident, social, and plays the entire day with the other dogs. It brings me so much joy to see her tail up, her body language relaxed, and her personality shining through. Her transformation is a true testament to the care and structure Dogtopia provides.
I especially love how the playgroups are monitored and structured. I’ve seen coaches gently intervene when needed, help dogs find compatible playmates, and redirect overstimulation quickly. Cali’s behavior at home and in other settings has improved too…..She’s more balanced, less anxious, and more playful overall.
Thank you, Dogtopia, for helping Cali blossom into the happy, secure dog she was always meant to be. We’re forever grateful.

They had great availability, the price was in line what we had been paying at a salon, and most importantly, for us, we needed to have someone come to us. It was a great experience! We have two dogs and they both were groomed. They both look adorable! This is the first time since I was a little girl that I don’t have a dog, and that alone says how big a role they’ve played in my life. Dr. Rios has always been my first choice — personable, compassionate, and truly invested in her patients. The appointment-only system now makes visits much smoother, with less waiting and easier parking, which matters when you’re already stressed. When my boy Jake was battling kidney disease, the care and kindness from the entire team meant everything. Sarah, the office manager, was wonderful in helping manage his visits and fluids. Stephanie was incredibly patient and kind — teaching me how to give fluids at home during a very stressful visit (Jake wasn’t thrilled, but she handled it with such calm and care). Jake ended up trusting the process as time went on. Emily and Christina were also amazing — always warm and genuinely compassionate. Losing Jake was heartbreaking, but knowing he was treated with love and care made a difference. When I’m ready to adopt again — and I will — this is the only place I’ll go.

Eye Care for Animals - Torrance
2551 W 190th St, TorranceI have never met Dr. Fahrer in person since we started visiting here in the pandemic, but she has diagnosed and cared for my dog’s two eye problems and she and the staff there have been very kind and helpful. My dog’s eyes looked terrible and were itchy even though We had seen two vets for his eyes prior, but once we went to Eye Care for Animals, he was diagnosed and has drops that have improved him to the point that his eyes look good and don’t seem to bother him any longer. Much appreciated! They are only in Torrance on Monday just FYI.

I was honestly very anxious about bringing my dog here because of some negative reviews I had read about the place and the veterinarian. However, my experience was completely the opposite, and I was truly impressed.
From the moment we arrived, everyone was wonderful. The veterinarian, the nurses, and the entire staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and caring. They treated my dog with so much love and professionalism, and I felt supported and listened to the whole time.
They were able to properly identify my dog’s problem, and now we finally have a clear treatment plan moving forward. That alone gave me so much peace of mind.
Yes, the price is a bit higher than average, but it is absolutely worth it. You can tell they really know what they’re doing and genuinely care about the animals they treat. My dog was extremely well taken care of — truly, very well.
I left feeling very happy, relieved, and impressed with their professionalism. I would definitely recommend this place and would not hesitate to come back.

4045 190th St, TorranceI can't believe I never wrote a review about my wonderful experience with Stacie! It has been about over a year and half since our last training session. I have a now 11 year old dog named Shin-Shin who we got as a puppy and was not trained properly. He was aggressive towards every living thing that wasn't a main family member but I knew he was a sweetie inside and wanted others to experience his kinder side. I took 8 training sessions and while he may not be perfect being as his old habits have stuck a bit, he's much more manegeable. My partner, who doesn't live with me, has admitted that he's like a different dog now. Before Shin-Shin made my partner nervous and always looked ready to attack but can now cuddle with him. It takes a lot of patience and observation to understand a dog and surely a lesson learned for any future pets I may have in the future. Stacie was so easy and friendly to work with utilizing positive and fun reinforcements only! She truly cares about the wellbeing of the relationship between the dog and human. Would go back to her in an instant if needed, highly recommend!!!
