My dog is a hairless Chinese crested (15 LBS) 4 and a half years old. His hair is more shinny than it ever has been while eating this food. His weight is perfect and I have noticed he has gained quite a bit of muscle. I’ve never seen him so healthy. I 100% recommend this brand, all of the products I have tried for my dog have been excellent.

If you have problems booking an appointment, like I did, they say to just give them a call and they will make the appointment for you. Great find!!

I've been a client here for years, but now I won't be coming back. I purchased a pet gate & was assured at check out that if it didn't work, it would be an easy return. The gate ended up being faulty. The latch didn't work. When I went to return my product 3 days later with my receipt in hand, I was told that I could only have store credit because it was over $100. Which is NOT store policy. No one even asked why I was returning it. Manager didn't even blink or apologize, just just dug in her heels & told me no. I've filed a formal complaint with corporate. Poor customer service.

Rusty wasn't able to put any weight on his back leg and he is now taking 15-20 minute walks,going potty on his own and going up and down stairs. The exercises and underwater treadmill have helped him so much and were so happy beyond words to get our baby back where he was.

When I first called I spoke with Phoebe and she was so helpful and so sweet on the phone every time I’ve called which I have numerous times before my appointment and answered all my questions . Plus she mentioned looking online for a coupon and I got one which helped out a lot so thank her for that !! The two receptionist were also sweet ladies and cheerful and nothing but, nice words to say about my Haven . So thank you Lize and Leslie 🫶 Now McKenzie, the tech was wonderful she answered all my questions and was so helpful about my situation and was just concerned if I had any questions or anything they could do to help more with my puppy.. Dr. Khalsa was very friendly and knowledgeable of what we were talking about with my baby and her concern for her and what’s best for her ! Over all everyone here made me feel better and I’m glad for that because it’s literally been over a year battle with my puppy trying to get her all figured out. I highly recommend people to come to this place not only does it have good feeling vibes in there it’s clean. It smells good and did I mention the vibes lol they also offer candy thanks again to you ALL! And they are now Haven’s vet thanks to Makenzie ♥

Gunbarrel Veterinary Hospital
4636 55th St, BoulderI can’t say enough good things about Gunbarrel Animal Hospital. Initially, I chose this vet based on where I lived as it was only about 5 minutes away. The quality of care there was so good I’ve continued to use their services despite moving farther away and being closer to many other vet offices. We have been clients for about 8 years with a few different pets and have received excellent routine care as well as emergencies (ACL tear and surgery), cancer and end of life care, and the occasional unexpected issue. We typically see Dr. Feller who is absolutely fabulous and has earned my full trust when it comes to my animals. She always explains things in full details and lays out options for care so an informed decision can be made. I’ve also seen other doctors when care has been needed ASAP and always received excellent care. Additionally, the vet techs and front desk staff are always friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable. We love Gunbarrel Animal Hospital and feel so lucky and secure to rely on them for animal care.

The Veterinary Behavior Center
5345 Arapahoe Avenue STE 7, BoulderI cannot say enough good things about Dr. Feldman, Jessica, and the entire team at the Veterinary Behavioral Center. They have really helped my cat, who has struggled with severe anxiety and fear-based aggression for most of his life. He would only allow me to handle and care for him. Even my husband was afraid of him, and cat-sitting for travel was basically impossible. I couldn’t be away for more than a couple of nights without my cat becoming stressed and experiencing flare-ups of his inflammatory bowel disease, which landed him in the ER and hospital multiple times.
Dr. Feldman and Jessica are highly knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and responsive to questions and concerns. They were available by text and email and always took the time to provide thoughtful guidance and support. I especially appreciated that Dr. Feldman looked at the whole picture, taking into account both my cat’s behavioral and medical history when developing the treatment plan. He nailed the medication management for anxiety on the first try, while Jessica’s techniques have been highly practical and effective in improving socialization.
It has taken patience and consistency, but the results have exceeded my expectations. My cat is happier, more confident and more relaxed around people. He and my husband now have a sweet relationship, and my mother-in-law can care for him when we travel—something I honestly never thought possible.
I also appreciate the payment plan option, which can be canceled at any time without penalties or fees. It’s clear that this team genuinely cares about helping pets and their families succeed. I highly recommend them to anyone dealing with behavioral challenges in their pet.

Tenderfoot Training

We had explored several other trainers before Tenderfoot, but they were either too harsh or entirely treat focused. Cottonwood Kennels
7275 Valmont Road, BoulderLong overdue review. We found this location from online recommendations, specifically ones mentioning nervous dogs or dogs needing socializing. Our dog, Morticia, always showed signs of nervousness/fearfulness and would get a bit too excited around new dogs, but is very sweet with us. We boarded her with Cottonwood for 2 weeks after bringing Morticia weekly for daycare 10 weeks before our trip -- we wanted to make sure staff and Morticia were comfortable and confident.
Cottonwood Kennels made our weekly drive from Denver worth it. Their boarding price is determined by length of stay. Meals and enrichment aren't additional like some places in Denver are. They provide food and bowls and you're welcome to bring your own (give them a call and double check though). They offer punch cards for daycare and post pictures frequently on their Instagram. They are on a farm which also has agility obstacles.
Morticia gradually warmed up to the staff each weekly visit, she even started to get excited. It's been a couple months since we picked her up, and the dog we have now is much more confident and considerate of new people and dogs. We were never confident to take her to dog parks or open spaces, but now we are.
I don't want to advertise them as a training facility, but if you need people that understand dog behavior, that will supervise your dog child and treat them well, bring them here. Thank you to Shannon and Paige for boosting our confidence with our sweet Morticia, and to the rest of the staff that helped better her trust with new people.

From the very beginning, it was clear that Farfel’s truly cares about each individual dog and where they end up. They are one of the most thorough, reputable, and dedicated rescues I have ever encountered. Their adoption process is thoughtful and intentional, and it is obvious that the dogs’ well-being always comes first.
When I adopted Teddy, I knew he would need extra support due to his past experiences. Farfel’s was incredibly honest in preparing me for that journey and then went far beyond what I ever expected in helping us succeed. During the trial period, their support was exceptional. Hope, in particular, spent so much of her own time offering advice, encouragement, and guidance as Teddy adjusted to his new home. Her kindness and dedication meant more than I can express.
The team also provided support whenever concerns came up, even when some of my new-dog worries turned out to be normal adjustment issues. At every step, they prioritized Teddy’s health, comfort, and success. I also had the opportunity to work with Rock as Teddy’s trainer and was incredibly impressed by his knowledge and patience.
Today, Teddy has made an amazing transformation. He has truly done a complete 180 and is now the sweetest, cuddliest family dog who keeps us laughing every day. Watching him gain confidence and become the happy dog he was always meant to be has been such a gift.
I am so grateful that I found Farfel’s. Their team works incredibly hard, genuinely cares about the animals they rescue. I would wholeheartedly recommend Farfel’s to anyone looking to adopt.
