Pet Grooming

The Little Groomer
1130 Pine St STE 4, LouisvilleAmber grooms our two English Springer Spaniels Amber handles our two field Springers with care and expertise. Our dogs love coming to the groomers- both enter the door with enthusiasm always on a lead, waiting for Amber to receive them through the gate in the reception area. The groomers always receive the dogs behind the gated area at reception for the safety of all dogs and people. The dogs are led to the seperate waiting area into crates for their comfort and safety, it also keeps the whole area orderly. Both dogs are now older and need assistance in and out of the wash area as well as onto the grooming tables. Amber always takes great care when handling both of them. They always look great, she gets all the important little areas, their ears, between their toes, she gives attention to their pads and feathers on their legs and tails. She always asks what I want for the dogs, adding whatever might be needed for the season or particular dog at the time they are groomed. My dogs go in happy and come out happy! That makes me happy! It is a joy to see Amber and all of the staff always. I want to add that Amber is always kind to me assisting me if needed to get the dogs back to the car. I bring three dogs to The Little Groomer. I will leave a review about my third separately.

Pet Care

Louisville Family Animal Hospital
332 McCaslin Blvd, LouisvilleMy 12 week old puppy ate a glove liner at 8am. Despite not usually doing urgent care, Dr. Bull and her team got it out immediately! Super friendly and professional people. Happy to say that Bridger found his vet!

Louisville Veterinary Clinic
2000 Centennial Dr, LouisvilleVery kind and compassionate. Dr. Bender was completely transparent and didn't run up the cost at all. Had us join for his full examination in the backroom to keep our cat calm. It was an exceptional experience, the perfect vet for the area.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Crystal Springs Brewing Co. - Downtown Taproom
604 Main St, LouisvilleDoesn't get any better than this place, honestly. The beer is so tasty, with different beers rotating pretty quickly with lots of new stuff to try. The staff is so fun and nice, I love going in and seeing all of the cute, well-behaved dogs, the free popcorn is great, and of course – the patio. Despite it being busy, there's almost always a spot for 2-4 people and the patio ROCKS. I love this place.

Gravity Brewing
1150 Pine St, LouisvilleWe came here on a weekend quest to find root beer from different places. We were told that they only brew root beer for dry January and when it runs out then that’s it. It was delicious. This place has a cool relaxed vibe with an alien theme where you can order pizza at a separate window.

The Coffee Roasting Co. at Bittersweet
836 Main St, LouisvilleI love it and it’s near my house but it’s almost always smoky.. They really really need to fix the ventilation. It’s a deal breaker.

Hana Japanese Bistro
1148 W Dillon Rd, LouisvilleWe hadn't been to Hana in awhile. Everything was fresh and delicious. The yellow tail carpacio with truffle was as excellent as we remembered. The spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and every other roll we had were as good as any we've had, for literally half the price as the best boulder sushi spots.
Service was great. Booth atmosphere is nice. We will return soon!

Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar
1132 W Dillon Rd, LouisvilleI chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner and have always appreciated their food—especially their gluten-free bread and pasta, which are genuinely excellent.
However, this visit was unfortunately overshadowed by a serious mistake. I have severe celiac disease and clearly ordered my meal to be gluten-free, but due to either miscommunication or the busyness of the restaurant, I was served an appetizer that contained wheat.
What was most concerning is that the server had mentioned that nearly everything on the menu could be made gluten-free, but did not clarify that this particular dish could not be safely prepared that way when I ordered it. For someone with celiac disease, this isn’t a minor issue—it led to me getting very sick.
That said, I do want to acknowledge the owner, who was incredibly kind and understanding when I called. He has personal experience with awareness for celiac disease and expressed genuine care, taking responsibility and apologizing for what happened. It’s clear that there is an intention to provide safe and high-quality gluten-free options.
While I truly enjoy this restaurant and plan to return, I strongly feel that the serving staff would benefit from more thorough allergen training and greater attention to dietary restrictions. For anyone with food allergies or celiac disease, I would recommend triple-checking your order to ensure it is handled correctly.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience on an otherwise special occasion, but I appreciate the owner’s response and hope to see improved attention to food safety moving forward.
