Sherlock Hound Denver
1422 E 22nd Ave, DenverI can’t say enough great things about Sherlock Hound! My dog is extremely picky and has refused to eat kibble for years. I’ve been trying to transition him from canned food to dry food with no success, and I was honestly running out of ideas.
The owner was absolutely amazing. She even locked the door for a few minutes so my dog could safely roam around the store while she spoiled him with treats and helped us find food he might actually like. You can tell she genuinely cares about dogs and takes the time to get to know each one.
To my surprise, the dry food she sent us home with has been a huge success. For the first time ever, my dog is actually excited to eat kibble! I couldn’t believe it.
The level of care, knowledge, and personal attention we received was incredible. Sherlock Hound has earned a customer for life, and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially those with picky dogs.

Also, the weekend crew is great! Super friendly, patient and helpful. Just a reminder when you go. If you have a clean tub, full bottles of product, treats and clean towels, someone did all that for you and your pooch! Don't forget to tip!!

Huckleberry’s arthritis has been the main issue and Tamra has given us great advice on how to make changes in his routine, as well as some simple changes around our house to accommodate his healing process.
Can’t thank Tamra enough! Highly recommend her to anyone with an animal that needs some TLC!

The support staff… from the front desk to the nurses .. incredible. Kind, comforting. I wish I could see these folk regularly for my cats. I could not recommend this place more.
For an emergency department, the wait honestly wasn’t that bad! Plus, they’re dealing with some serious serious emergencies at this place, I think that they were even resuscitating a newborn when I walked in! They’re busy, but they still make effort to get to you ASAP!!!
Dr. Gosselin needs recognition for the queen she is. As a human physician, I understand the importance of bedside manner. Dr. Gosselin sat on the floor every single time that she came in so that she was eye-level with my cat, and I know that made not only him more comfortable, but myself! She was extremely thorough, personable, and smart. She walked through her differential with me, treatment plans, & next steps seamlessly. I was really impressed by her & wish her all the best!

While all of their staff is extremely talented, we have especially appreciated working with Dr. Llewy over the years. Her love for animals, genuine concern for their wellbeing, attention to detail, and informed, thoughtful approach have meant the world to us.
Two of our dogs have had complex medical needs. We lost our 15.5 year old dog last year, who lived 3.5 years longer than expected, and our 15 year old dog’s conditions continue to be well managed under her care.
I give full credit to Dr. Llewy for extending their lives, and I will never be able to thank her enough for giving us more time with our precious girls.

After an initial session with Scott and two follow-up sessions with Cameron, my dog has seen a complete positive correction with these behaviors. Chill Out is a well-worth investment. I also highly recommend going ahead and purchasing the package that includes the e-collar. This has been such an effective tool at correcting my dog's behavior and well worth the extra investment. Both Scott and Cameron were both very knowledgeable in their craft and were very effective with their methods. Highly recommend!

There have been so many wins but I’ll highlight a few that have been most valuable to me. Loose leash walking: the education Dion gave us corrected Dolly’s pulling in a way that nothing I’d tried up until that point had. Second, recall. At 8 months old this baby has a more solid recall than I’ve ever has with any dog. We continue to work it as instructed in increasingly distracting environments to really lock it in. And third, her overall improved focus and compliance. I love being outside and it was so important for me to have a well behaved dog in public. We’ve tested her at t-ball games, garden stores, coffee shops, etc. and she’s truly exceeded what I believed she’d be capable of at this age. If you’re browsing the reviews trying to decide if it’s worth the investment, it is. I cannot recommend Dion enough. The training and tools he provides are a life long gift for you and all your fur babies, now and in the future.

She offers free visits to see if they’ll be a good fit to start. We have been really happy with both vacation stays and daycare for playtime.

4433 W 29th Ave #101, DenverSuch a fun experience, and honestly more interesting than I expected too. One guy built this whole candy lab concept and runs the demonstrations himself. He made ice cream with liquid nitrogen in under thirty seconds, which was wild to watch happen live.
Highlights for me were the Liquid Nitrogen Cheetos (smoke out of my mouth, very dragon-coded), the Tang Space Foam which was my favorite bite of the day, and the Jolly Rancher Meteors right behind it. He also did a flask demonstration with liquid nitrogen that looked like a rocket launching when he lifted his hand off, really cool moment.
I tried a Mexican Fried Ice Cream sundae, an Oreo sundae, and a toasted marshmallow with raspberry that had frozen whipped cream that shatters like glass and an edible astronaut sticker on top. Ended the visit in a black light room with glow in the dark cotton candy, my face ended up glowing from the dust and it was a great way to close things out.
Not a hands on experience, but that didn’t take away from how fun it was. Tickets go fast so book ahead, and keep an eye out for their Halloween sessions.

The Savory Snack Trio was another highlight. I loved the creative twist of using pickled okra instead of traditional pickles, it was unexpected and delicious. Really a traditional vibe, no frills, with excellent carne asada. The salsa is fresh and green Chile a nice touch. Can't go wrong with the super burrito either. Family owned and operated, these folks really care about the quality of the food.

I had a lot of questions during our wedding planning process, and she was so helpful with answering all my questions in a timely manner, but also making life easier for me as the bride. When she showed up for our wedding day, she brought the energy, professionalism, and passion to make our day as successful as it was. We had an outdoor ceremony and were blasted with dust storms. You would never guess by how amazing the photos are. She truly is an artist capturing the emotion in every photo. I had a dream image in my head, and she made that image come to life. I really cannot say enough about how truly grateful we are for Kari, and what an incredible photographer she is. Our guests couldn’t stop mentioning how discreet Kari was. She moved with such quiet grace that we hardly noticed her, yet somehow she captured every beautiful, fleeting moment. We have such beautiful memories captured in time to forever look back on. She's truly the best!!! So grateful!!

8200 E Pacific Pl #205, DenverI applied to adopt an absolute cutie pie of a dog a few weeks ago and have been SO impressed with the adoption process. I currently have 2 dogs - a senior pittie and a small, fearful chihuahua - and the volunteers at PawsCo have been so thoughtful and helpful when considering which pup would work best with my current dogs. They so clearly want safe, loving, and comfortable homes for their animals.
I brought my dogs to meet the dog I applied for (as well as his foster parent and a volunteer from PawsCo). The rescue pup was a big old sweetheart, but my small dog made it clear that she wasn't a fan. The volunteers helped us talk things through and ultimately we all decided that it wasn't a great fit (again, it was my dog being fearful; the rescue's dog was such a big lovey boy). Despite that, the volunteers weren't discouraged and we all talked about other dogs that might be a good fit and even suggested other rescues that might have pups that would work with mine.
We ended up finding our new buddy at another rescue, but I am just honestly so impressed with PawsCo. Thank you for being so cautious and thoughtful about my little dog's issues - and thank you for loving your rescues so much.
I absolutely recommend applying to adopt here. They genuinely want these dogs to go to the *right* place and don't run the rescue like a business - it really is all about the animals.

True Companions Animal Shelter & Clinic
958 Inca St, DenverThe staff and volunteers at the cat shelter are some of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. Their commitment to providing medical care for special needs cats who would typically be euthanized is unparalleled compared to any other similar organization in the area. I have only been in the cat shelter, but the facilities are clean and modern with great amenities for the kitties, including large windows and catios. Having the dogs in a separate building is great for creating a lower stress environment. I’m especially grateful to Christine for all of her help. Please support their mission by donating or adopting a cat (especially one with special needs!) from True Companions ❤
