1422 E 22nd Ave, DenverI can’t say enough great things about Sherlock Hound! My dog is extremely picky and has refused to eat kibble for years. I’ve been trying to transition him from canned food to dry food with no success, and I was honestly running out of ideas.
The owner was absolutely amazing. She even locked the door for a few minutes so my dog could safely roam around the store while she spoiled him with treats and helped us find food he might actually like. You can tell she genuinely cares about dogs and takes the time to get to know each one.
To my surprise, the dry food she sent us home with has been a huge success. For the first time ever, my dog is actually excited to eat kibble! I couldn’t believe it.
The level of care, knowledge, and personal attention we received was incredible. Sherlock Hound has earned a customer for life, and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially those with picky dogs.

Also, the weekend crew is great! Super friendly, patient and helpful. Just a reminder when you go. If you have a clean tub, full bottles of product, treats and clean towels, someone did all that for you and your pooch! Don't forget to tip!!

They issue parking tickets in this area. There are no meters present, only a tiny sign at the end of the block saying pay by app. I work downtown & there are meters present on the street, making it obvious to pay. I hope this review reaches the city & they do better!

Huckleberry’s arthritis has been the main issue and Tamra has given us great advice on how to make changes in his routine, as well as some simple changes around our house to accommodate his healing process.

She did get one nail clipped too short and it bled for several hours, but both my standard poodles came back looking good. Because the groomer was honest with me about the girls being difficult, we could strategize ways to make their future groomings better. I had suspected that the girls were being difficult, and I had tried a number of groomers, but everyone always said they were great and didn't tell me about any problems.
The girls are very shy around strangers, and in general very standoffish, so I can't say enough about how refreshing it was to have someone actually tell me what was going on, so we could work on finding ways to fix it.

5023 Leetsdale Drive, Denvermy baby rufus got his teeth cleaned yesterday by dr. sweet.. the lady up front( i didn’t get her name, but she had long black hair and glasses) was super patient with me.. i know i can ask a lot of questions and can come off as a little too much sometimes.. dr. sweet was able to show me rufus’ x-rays and explain to me the reasonings of the extractions. i appreciate dr. sweet’s patience with me bc i do ask a lot of questions. they also trimmed rufus’ nails which was sweet of them! i am a mama bear when it comes to my doggy and having people be kind and patient during a stressful time means a lot. pricing wise they do show you an estimate of what the low and high end might come out to and they were able to work with me to keep it close to the high end pricing as my dog had to get a ton of teeth extracted. thank you belcaro team!

I have the most difficult cat ever and I pictured him going through a tooth extraction was going to be such a difficult time for him and it wasn’t. Dr. Tedros assured my family and I that he would be ok and explained everything very thoroughly of what he is going to go through day of surgery. Dr. Rojas was also very kind and knowledgeable of what the surgery process was going to be like and that she was going to call me with any updates during his surgery. They did! They were very honest and I will continue to fully put my trust in their hands time and time again.

3 weeks later and he is a changed boy! We could not believe our eyes when we picked him up and did his first training session (well, our first training session). He is attentive to commands, his recall is excellent, SO much better on walks with pulling, and we're noticing that he is just calmer in general. He has learned so much and so have we. Our 8-month-old Doberman, Maverick, needed some extra help with obedience and learning how to settle and feel comfortable around strangers. From the very beginning, the team was absolutely incredible with him. We received daily texts, photos, weight updates, and details about what he was working on and how he was progressing. Everything was always communicated in such a positive, encouraging, and uplifting way.
Before coming to Art of Dog, Maverick had gone somewhere else for training. After one difficult day, we were essentially told he was a “monster.” I was heartbroken and honestly at a loss because that just wasn’t the sweet, loving boy we knew at home.
Then we found Art of Dog in Longmont, and they saw exactly what we saw in Maverick. They took the time to understand him, work with him, and bring out the best in him. The progress he made with them has been amazing, but what has impressed me just as much is the support we’ve received since bringing him home.
They continue to check in with us, make sure we’re doing well, and remind us that they’re there if we need any help or guidance. They also sent us home with an incredibly detailed homework plan and videos so that we can continue reinforcing everything Maverick learned.
Maverick truly is the love of my life, and I don’t say this lightly: Art of Dog is the only place I would trust with him. ❤️
Seriously, this place is worth it. Whether your dog needs help with obedience, confidence, behavior, or just some additional training, I cannot recommend Art of Dog enough. They treated Maverick with patience, kindness, and understanding, and gave us confidence as his family, too.

Chill Out Dog Training
1316 29th Street Suite 101, DenverWe came to Scott and Chill Out Dog Training after our 10 month old GSD/Heeler mix was demonstrating some territorial aggression in the home and in transition spaces (i.e. between home/outside, car/outside). We wanted to nip that aggression behaviour right at the bud, but perhaps did not realize how, in fact, all behaviours woudl inevitably be addressed. Even those little behaviours that aren't totally bad, like unwanted licks.
After two session about 1~ month apart, our dog is more confident, less reactive, and shining in his pro-social behaviours -- even within the home, which used to be his most territorial space! His behaviours, from loose-leash walking to staying in place until told otherwise, have also improved. I really didn't think this could be such a comprehensive approach, but Scott demonstrated how all behaviours of our dog could be supported/improved!
I also really appreciate the company motto that no more than a few sessions are needed -- no gimmicks or lies here! Scott's approach is to really give you the tools to be able to work on positive and acceptable behaviours confidently on your own. I feel confident to be doing this in the coming weeks and months as my dog transition from adolescence to adulthood.
I wholeheartedly recommend Scott's service! I will be telling all the folks at the dog park and friends and family, too.

DenverWe absolutely LOVE UpDog Walking Service, and especially our dog walker, Hanna! ❤ Our dogs are completely in love with her, and honestly, we don’t know what we would do without her.
Hanna goes above and beyond every single day. She is incredibly caring, dependable, and attentive to all of our dogs’ individual needs. She even helps with little things like wiping their eyes, which means so much to us.
She is also extremely flexible with the weather and always makes sure the dogs get their walks whenever it is safe and possible. You can truly tell how much she loves animals and how much she cares about our dogs.
Having someone we trust completely with our dogs gives us such peace of mind. Hanna has become such an important part of our dogs’ lives — and ours! We are so grateful for her and cannot recommend UpDog and Hanna highly enough! 🐾❤

She worked with me and my newly adopted 9 month old lab in a compressed time frame and we made so much progress. Tanya broke it down into much more than just the words and commands but taught me how to focus on the bond between my dog and me so we could capitalize on the moments when he was most focused and ready to learn and minimize frustrations. She taught me how to recognize and anticipate his behaviors based on his body language and similar cues which I had never practiced with my previous dogs. Noble Beast Dog Training

She realized how desperate we were and came to our home during her off hours. Within minutes of her arrival she had broken up an aggressive situation, which could have resulted in serious injury to both our dogs. She stayed and talked to me for an extended period of time afterwards, providing very thoughtful advice. She then, on her own time, wrote up a thorough behavioral assessment on our pup, that I can use to share with his rescue to hopefully avoid other similar situations in the future. As I age, I discover it is the quiet, slow paced places that appreciate the most.

8200 E Pacific Pl #205, DenverI applied to adopt an absolute cutie pie of a dog a few weeks ago and have been SO impressed with the adoption process. I currently have 2 dogs - a senior pittie and a small, fearful chihuahua - and the volunteers at PawsCo have been so thoughtful and helpful when considering which pup would work best with my current dogs. They so clearly want safe, loving, and comfortable homes for their animals.
I brought my dogs to meet the dog I applied for (as well as his foster parent and a volunteer from PawsCo). The rescue pup was a big old sweetheart, but my small dog made it clear that she wasn't a fan. The volunteers helped us talk things through and ultimately we all decided that it wasn't a great fit (again, it was my dog being fearful; the rescue's dog was such a big lovey boy). Despite that, the volunteers weren't discouraged and we all talked about other dogs that might be a good fit and even suggested other rescues that might have pups that would work with mine.
We ended up finding our new buddy at another rescue, but I am just honestly so impressed with PawsCo. Thank you for being so cautious and thoughtful about my little dog's issues - and thank you for loving your rescues so much.
I absolutely recommend applying to adopt here. They genuinely want these dogs to go to the *right* place and don't run the rescue like a business - it really is all about the animals.

True Companions Animal Shelter & Clinic
958 Inca St, DenverThe staff and volunteers at the cat shelter are some of the kindest and most compassionate people I have ever met. Their commitment to providing medical care for special needs cats who would typically be euthanized is unparalleled compared to any other similar organization in the area. I have only been in the cat shelter, but the facilities are clean and modern with great amenities for the kitties, including large windows and catios. Having the dogs in a separate building is great for creating a lower stress environment. I’m especially grateful to Christine for all of her help.
