Our dog is in her senior years, and we are confident we’ll have her for a long time to come. The staff here takes great care of her and tolerates her shyness and awkwardness very well. Vet techs, veterinarians, surgeons, and front desk staff are all fantastic. Our dog had to have dental surgery, and she was taken great care of. Plus, the work was excellent! Well, I was 100% correct. The flavor, the tenderness, the quality — this food isn’t just good, it’s five‑star, top‑tier, mind‑blowing BBQ. I’ve never had better roadside BBQ in my life, and my standards are sky‑high.
My sister took me here, and now I’m convinced I could fly back to Colorado just to eat at Piggin’ Out Smokehouse again. That’s how serious this is.
I ordered the 1/2 rack of ribs with mac and cheese, BBQ baked beans, and sweet tea. Every bite was ridiculous — the ribs were insanely tender, the mac and cheese was creamy perfection, the beans were rich and smoky, and that sweet tea flowed like a Southern blessing. The sides weren’t just “good,” they were just as impressive as the meat, which is rare.
And then there’s Eric — the owner. I normally don’t remember names, but this man made an impression. Genuine, warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. He came over, talked with us, encouraged us to try his homemade sauces, and even brought my sister a mac and cheese on the house. Who does that?
His sauces? Out of this world. I grabbed the Spicy BBQ and the Habanero because I like that fire, and of course I took some home along with the banana pudding and cornbread. Now I’m strung out like a BBQ junkie waiting for my next fix.
The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a smokehouse — outdoor, relaxed, spacious seating under tents, sweet country music drifting through the air, endless sweet tea, and the constant aroma of smoked meats reminding you that life is good.
Piggin’ Out Smokehouse didn’t just meet my expectations — it smashed them. This place is a goldmine, and Eric makes you feel right at home. If you want BBQ that hits your soul, go experience what we did.
I’m from New England, and I’m telling you right now: I may book my next trip to Colorado just to get my grub on at Piggin’ Out Smokehouse again.
Five stars for the food. Five stars for the experience. Five stars for Eric.

Shortly after bringing her home, I ran into a few unexpected health issues. As a first-time cat mom, I was honestly scared and overwhelmed by the findings and how sick she was. But CCS immediately followed up with me and walked me through every bump in the road with so much care and support. I never felt alone in it. CCS truly cares about their cats before and after adoption.
I am endlessly grateful to this shelter for connecting me with my soul kitty. Amelia has brought so much joy and face “boops” into my life. If you’re considering adopting, I highly recommend visiting CCS — they truly care about both their cats and their adopters!

She was transported from a kill shelter in Oklahoma, and they provided a paper trail. I was pleased to see they were getting references for potential new fur parents.
