The Vintage Moose
123 16th Ave, Idaho SpringsThe Vintage Moose provides a dive-ish bar and a very welcoming atmosphere, a great spot after a long hike. I tried ‘Stem Ciders’ Colorado local; the pear cider was great at 5.3% alcohol and not too sweet. I also tried another Colorado beer, ‘Little Me Porter’ by Elevation Beer Company, a coffee flavor sip with a hit of caramel malt at the end at 6.5% alcohol. And I just took a photo of a cool Pabst Blue Ribbon beer with a Godzilla can edition. Great service; my bartender was attentive and very helpful with the local beer options. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to try any other items on the menu.

Clear Creek Cidery & Eatery
1446 Miner St, Idaho SpringsFood: Good portions (not excessive), great pub food options as well as healthy options. Sufficient variety, including vegetarian choices.
Drink: I love that there were so many local cider brands and rotating tap flavors offered!
Service: Staff thoughtfully advised us of upcoming road closures. That was really kind and neighborly.
Atmosphere: Fun music and good volume - My family and I were able to have a relaxed conversation without yelling over the music.

Westbound & Down Brewing Company
1617 Miner St, Idaho SpringsThere are several locations of this award-winning COLO brewery. This location is one of two breweries in Idaho Springs and, like the other locations, has amazing brews (I highly recommend the Spirit of the West, a delicious West Coast IPA). This place is definitely worth a stop while visiting this historic mining town. However, the vibe does not fit the setting: 1860s Old West outside and modern industrial inside. It is odd. But the beers are reason to go, so stop by for a flight, then head a few blocks further West to Tommyknocker!

Two Brothers Deli
1424 Miner St, Idaho SpringsStopped in for a quick bite when exploring Idaho springs. Have been here a few times and it’s always delicious and friendly staff. I tried the chicken salad sandwich this time and it was great! Love the vibe of the bookstore inside!

Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub
1401 Miner St, Idaho SpringsFull disclosure: As of this posting there are 420 operating breweries in COLO (yes, 420) and I have not been to all of them. However, this is my favorite brewery in the Centennial State. Every brew is better than the last (as long as you finish with the the Colorado Especial (a delicious Spanish amber lager), the (huge) indoor space is the perfect Old West mining town vibe, the outdoor space (with both sunny and shady spots) is (very) dog friendly, the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming (shout-out to the incomparable Kaleb), and the awesome Tommyknocker merch proves that you do in fact need another brewery t-shirt and/or ball cap. This is a must-stop if you are in Idaho Springs or anywhere in the Front Range!
