Cornerstone
529 Main St, HartfordI've walked past this deli countless times and finally stopped in recently. It's very clean inside and I think the constant construction outside doesn't do them justice. I was immediately greeted by someone behind the counter and it was a super quick turnaround between me ordering my Italian combo and getting it at my table. My sandwich was absolutely huge! I can't remember the last time I've had a sandwich this big and I think it was pretty affordable. I do wish that they had iced coffee and more baked good options though!

American & Mexican Diner
243 Zion St, HartfordSo delicious. Really good variety of foods on the menu. I had the chilaquiles omelette. It was amazing - cooked perfectly, generous portions, very flavorful. Loved this place and will definitely be back.

Fire-N-Spice Vegan Restaurant, Bakery and Juices
491 Capitol Ave, HartfordFood was good but didn’t have a few of the patties listed on the menu. Also shortly after using my discover card there about 4 hours later fraudulent activity started to happen. I’d go back there but of course with cash only.

Banh Meee
126 Ann Uccello St, HartfordHad passed this place several times and since it was within a short walk from Theater Works, we tried it. Only difficulty was with the computer-based ordering. I was confused to start and unknowingly timed out on my order. The young gentleman in the front of the house quickly rectified it. My need in a good bahn mi is the correct bread and this place did just that! Excellent. I had the flank steak bahn mi and my dining partner the crispy chicken. Both were delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Skip the curly fries. Glad we got two different choices and split the orders. The room is cafeteria chic. Will definitely return next time theater rolls around.

Island Fish Head Jamaican Restaurant and Jay’s Smoothie Bar
304 Albany Ave, HartfordIt was cold yesterday morning loves. I stopped into this cool little Jamaican restaurant on the Avenue in Hartford Northend. Lemme tell you ...service is impeccable. The owner is sweet as pie and so accommodating. While I waited for my breakfast of ackee and saltfish with dumplings he gave me a likkle taste of some cow foot soup with boil dumplin, carrots, potato. So good to shake off the early morning chill and extremely hardy...made me feel like I was home with my daddy (SIP) making sure mi belly full cause I'm hungry. ❤️
Thank you for the hospitality, thank you for nourishing my soul with nostalgia and appreciate the love in the prepared food. Ackee and saltfish was just right with the akee, peppers and onions and big flaky pieces of salted cod fish. The fried dumplings were HOT and sooo good. I didn't eat the whole thing but saved some for my 10yo son who greedily accepted this traditional delicacy. The smile on his face was an additional reward. Thank you Island Fish Head Jamaican Restaurant for the authentic love and life you are bringing to our community with your exceptional service and thoughtfulness.
Come down...enjoy some good West Indian food, grab some sea moss and be well. The beautifully hand painted mural is quite the focal point. Big ups and one love. ???

First and Last Tavern Hartford

Peppercorn's Grill
357 Main St, HartfordI took friends to celebrate them buying a condo through me and we all enjoyed it . The food was excellent and the service was outstanding . There was some communication issues due to allergies . (one person did not expect strawberries on her salad ) but overall the server did a great job talking about ingredients in each order . So tricky with all the allergies these days . I was glad to see you all were so busy .

Story and Soil Coffee
387 Capitol Ave, HartfordInclusive, community-centered coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere, sublime baristas, and the best coffee I've ever had. The chorizo burrito alone is enough to bring you back for more, but the coffee will take your breath away.

Sunberry Restaurant and Bar
65 Pratt St, HartfordThis restaurant ROCKS! The food is exceptional! We enjoyed two appetizers, one chicken and one with shrimp, my daughter got the amazing chicken cutlet sandwich and I ordered the Seafood Ramen. Seriously, the best Ramen I've ever had! Codey was our bartender, and made two delicious drinks for us. I will be back often!

Lucky Stars Asian Cuisine
474 Prospect Ave, HartfordI always bypassed this place because parking is scarce and tight.
I wanted to review 6 months ago and been ordering food ever since.
I dont typically like Chinese food because it is really American food Chinese stylish and is so greedy.
I tried this place 3-4 months ago ordering food a friend who loved the food so I tried it myself and I love the freshness and flavor of the food and that it is not saturated, dripping in oil.
I dont really eat friend food but I have to try their friend chicken for review.
They are nice and polite people and have children bringing you your carry out and the children may be older than they appear as a 3.5 in kid brought my meal tonight and while he was totally expressionist (no smile and a porcelain face, he was not polite or rude but indifferent on a level I could not gage but I was not triggered by.
I say FK Jumbo buffet in bloomfield.
Their food is now nasty, greasy, tasteless or bad tasting and they charge a dollar to not pay in cash!
