“Adam at Ace Hardware went above and beyond. He cleaned my Stihl blower right there in the store, quickly and carefully, and didn’t charge me anything. That kind of service is rare. He was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in helping customers rather than just making a sale. The blower is running much better now, and the whole experience was straightforward and positive.”

“Don’t be fooled by the small storefront—this place is a hidden gem. They have everything you could possibly need for any project, backed by a massive warehouse full of supplies. Even if you came just for the great prices, it would be worth the trip. But what really sets them apart is the exceptional customer service. Brent and the rest of the team offer the kind of old-school service that’s hard to find these days—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Plus, they sell the best sunglasses on the market, BAJIO!”

“Harbor Freight is my go to for cheaper tools. They also have a great selection of new professional tools. I enjoy this location. The area is always clean. Staff here is friendly and can help with any issues you have. There is plenty of parking here. If you have a trailer or camper this parking lot is friendly to that. Overall a great location and will keep coming back.”

“Being a queer person ordinarily makes working blue collar or interfacing with others within the confines of that type of industry an absolute nightmare. People treat you like you're either stupid or completely inept. For an unusual change, everyone was very cool. They assisted me and my friend with a simple job that had miraculously managed to confound us both for days. Just that quick it was solved. I'm very appreciative. It was rapidly turning into a waking nightmare, and I expected my interactions with anyone in the field of plumbing to be negative. Thanks.”

“I needed dry ice for a project. More than 15 lbs but less than the 550 lb minimum required by Airgas. Otherwise no stores carry dry ice. Thanks to them my project was a success! Everyone was very friendly. Thank you.”

“According to my calculations, when you walk through the door you get teleported to the location in Ocala. Unfortunately when you walk out you are back in Gainesville. Sigh…”

“Johnstone Supply is a national chain selling HVAC parts to licensed HVAC technicians and companies. A big benefit to using a large chain as opposed to a mom-and-pop outfit is that you can get the products you need from one of the many locations so you can get it closer to the job location. So, if you have teams working multiple sites in various locations, a national company like Johnstone might be a good option, especially if you have an account with them. All in all, there was no issues here and I woukd recommend this company.”

“We visited because we needed plumbing supplies to repair our washing machine pipes and valves. Hubs went looking for the supplies while I aimlessly browsed the store. We recently moved into our new home and need A LOT of things. There is no carpeting and my dog loves to do carpet scratchies so I found a shaggy rug for her! We then went browsing in the appliance section. We have been searching for months now for basically anything you need. The refrigerator that came with the house might be older than me so that was a necessity. We decided on a whim to purchase one during this visit. Since I have maxed out most of my cards from this move, I used a $250 Lowes gift card, and split the payment with two credit cards. Carlos was very personable and helpful with our checkout.Carlos scheduled out delivery and made sure we had all the parts we needed. He also rang us up for other items we were purchasing. It was close to closing time so we did not spend too much time browsing. We stopped on our way out to look at the garden section but didn't get to browse too long. We left quickly after and the staff acknowledged us when we were walking out. The refrigerator was delivered on the day it was scheduled. There was no damage. The two delivery men were super quick and very good at getting the fridge in the door. We were actually in awe of how amazing they were.”

“Huge shout out to Doug in the NW 4th location in Gainesville! As soon as I walked by him he was actively engaged in helping me find my product. When the shelf was empty he looked through his inventory and discovered he was completely out of what I needed. Instead of making me go to another location to find my product, he was a rock star and price matched the larger container down to the smaller size that I needed. He made my day as I walked out of the store a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! Thank you Doug and Home Depot!”

“Good big box store that seems to have a lot of stuff. I am not really into lots of stuff, however, there are some things that it seems a store like Home Depot might have. I like looking at the various tools and trying to imagine what they might be used for, and then there are the various shelf organizers, closet organizers, and lots of other things. I have been in here before buying some wood kinds of things, and although they were really expensive, it was nice to get stuff that is already sanded and ready to use. The people that we talked to in the store were friendly and helpful. Prices seem to be competitive with other big box stores in the area. All in all, it is a pretty fun place to come, and not a pain at all to get just the things needed for my next project.”

“A very nice cashier was very helpful in the garden. A very nice young man went and found me a cart in the rain. While I was shopping I asked an female employee a few questions pertaining to some plants They were all respectful and nice. When I got to my car a man that was parked next to me, started put my plants in, some were very heavy. My whole experience was very pleasing.”
