Best Friends Pet Hotel
2510 Bonnet Creek Pkwy, Lake Buena VistaI highly recommend Best Friends Pet Hotel! Every time we go to Disney, we know our fur baby is receiving the best care. The place is always clean and well taken care of. Everyone is kind, compassionate and friendly. We enjoy getting our dog’s report cards and seeing her on the webcams!

Salt & Straw
1610 Buena Vista Dr, OrlandoWe visited Salt and Straw yesterday evening with our two kids. Even though it was really crowded, the line moved fast and the employees were all super efficient. And despite having a line all the way to the movie theatre, our scooper Nevin and cashier Julia took the time to ask us how our day was going and made sure we got exactly the flavors that our family was happy with! We even got to try some new adventurous flavors! Thank you to the Salt and Straw crew for a great Friday night experience!

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
2201 Orleans Dr, Lake Buena VistaSome decent menu choices but best to mobile order if you want to order a few different things. Otherwise you have to go to different counters to order different things. For instance, if you want gumbo and a pizza, you'd have to go to one counter to get the gumbo, then queue at a different one to order the pizza. This is a pain if you're ordering for a family. But if you mobile order, it all gets bagged together and left at the pick up point.

Chef Mickey's
4600 World Dr, Lake Buena VistaVery good food and very fun if you have little ones. Every character will come to your table for pictures and autographs. It is a must do if you are in Disney.
The choices of food is crazy. If you think it they have it. The egg station is cool. Plenty of sweets too.
The service was awesome. Plenty of character pictures. Awesome

Steakhouse 71
4600 World Dr, Lake Buena VistaAndrew is the best waiter to ever walk this planet. I got the strip with the Mac and cheese and the flight of sauces. It was delicious! The red wine reduction with the horseradish was so tasty. The meat was cooked perfectly and the Mac was so tasty as well. Onion rings and the bread were also great starters. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. No notes! Plus the prices aren’t even bad for a steak house!

Amorette's Patisserie
1536 E Buena Vista Dr #1A, Lake Buena VistaI've been here twice. Once over the Christmas holiday 2025, and once since I've moved here. The petite dome cakes I've had were pretty good, but I am still hoping the Pluto dome cake will show up.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe
200 Epcot Center Dr, Lake Buena VistaWent here for the frozen Viking coffee with baileys and it was a pleasant refreshment in the summer heat. I have to say the unexpected star of the show were the incredible pastries. The cookie was exceptional and the sweet pretzel was fab. Definitely an underrated spot you must visit.
Be prepared to have both a drivers license and passport if international purchasing alcohol.

Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company® in Asia at Disney's Animal Kingdom
2901 Osceola Pkwy, Lake Buena VistaHands down best coffee in Florida! Disney resort blend is a must!! Great flavor! So many other flavored coffees I back yet to try! Have had the sander sisters and very light flavors added so they don't overpower the coffee flavor! The resort coffee will always be my favorite but definitely willing to venture out and try some others. The staff members were friendly and service was fast. The doughnuts are huge and look so good! Love that you can get same coffee in the parks and at the resorts as well plus it's available Online.

Tiffins Restaurant
2901 Osceola Pkwy, Lake Buena VistaBest restaurant in Disney. Food is incredible. Menu changes a lot to keep it new and seasonal, and is always really exceptional. The desserts are delicious. Also a pleasant atmosphere, pretty theming. Perfect way to end (or begin) a day in Animal Kingdom

Ale & Compass Restaurant
1700 Epcot Resorts Blvd, Lake Buena VistaWe’ve been to many Disney restaurants, including some in resorts. And this was by far the best one. The french toast was delicious. It’s really hard to find a good French toast nowadays. It was crispy on the outside and very soft inside. The egg Benedict was a little overcooked, but it was okay for my taste.

Cinderella's Royal Table
1180 Seven Seas Drive, Lake Buena VistaThis was our favorite character dining experience. Service and atmosphere was great. The characters were great. Breakfast was ok. Better than expected. It’s worth the money and time.

Caravan Road
2901 Osceola Pkwy, Lake Buena VistaSometimes there’s nothing better than a shaved ice dessert on a hot day at Disney World. Stop by at Caravan Road, a super cute stand in the Aninal Kingdom between the Africa and Asia sections. It's a cute kiosk with Japanese shaved ice desserts with various flavors poured over them. They are very refreshing and taste good.
I tried the Kakigori, which was very good. It cooled me down quickly. It's a watermelon flavored snow cone with sweetened condensed milk poured over it. It goes for $5.99, which is overpriced for what it is but we are at Disney!
There is no where to sit at Caravan Road so you need to walk around to find someplace to sit.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
200 Epcot Center Dr, Lake Buena VistaAkershus Royal Banquet Hall is a character dining restaurant located in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot, combining a medieval castle-style setting with a Disney princess experience. The restaurant is best known for its character interactions, where guests can meet multiple princesses during the meal, making it a popular choice for families looking to add a more memorable Disney experience to their day.
The food follows a Norwegian-inspired menu with a mix of traditional dishes and familiar options. The meal is served family-style, with a variety of items brought to the table including salmon, meatballs, sides, and other Scandinavian-inspired dishes. The food is enjoyable, though the main appeal is less about having a high-end dining experience and more about being able to relax and enjoy the character interactions while having a full meal.
The princess encounters are the highlight of Akershus. Unlike waiting in individual lines around the park, the restaurant allows guests to meet several characters in one place, which can save a lot of time. The interactions also feel more personal because they happen throughout the meal rather than being rushed in a standard meet-and-greet setting. For families with younger Disney fans, this is easily the strongest part of the experience.
Service is another important part of the visit. The Cast Members play a big role in making the experience feel special, especially when helping families coordinate photos, character visits, and the overall flow of the meal. The restaurant can feel busy due to the popularity of character dining, so reservations are highly recommended.
The biggest consideration is the price. Akershus is expensive compared to a normal Epcot meal, and the value depends heavily on how much you care about meeting the princesses. If you are mainly visiting for the food, there are stronger dining options around the park, but the character experience adds something you cannot easily recreate elsewhere.
Overall, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is worth considering for families or anyone who wants a classic Disney character dining experience. The food is solid, the setting is unique, and the princess interactions are the real reason to visit. It works best when you view it as an experience with a meal included rather than just a restaurant.
