“The room (sink) was dirty upon admittance and took over 24 hours for them to come clean it. My husband ended up cleaning it and it was pretty gross. The TV was also broken but they quickly replaced upon request. The amenities are hard to beat for the price. They charge up front $50 for incidentals and $25 per night for parking.”

“Convenient location near Universal Studios. Staff were very accommodating. Facility was clean and well maintained. I had to pass on the licorice from the convenience store because it was double the gas station price. I would go again.”

“Playing Bay Hill has been on my golf bucket list for years, and I finally had the chance to experience Arnold Palmer’s legendary course in Orlando. It completely lived up to the hype and then some. From the moment you arrive at the property, you can feel the history and prestige. The staff is welcoming, professional, and genuinely makes you feel like you are part of the Bay Hill family, not just a visitor passing through.

The golf course itself is nothing short of spectacular. Every hole feels thoughtfully designed, challenging yet fair, and the conditions are pristine from tee to green. The fairways are beautifully maintained, the bunkers are strategically placed, and the greens roll fast and true. It is a true test of golf that rewards smart play and punishes careless mistakes. Water comes into play on several holes, and the layout forces you to think about every shot, which makes it incredibly rewarding. Standing on some of the tee boxes knowing the PGA Tour’s best face the same challenges during the Arnold Palmer Invitational gave me chills.

Some of the signature holes really stand out. The par 5 6th hole with its sweeping curve around the water is one of the most exciting risk reward holes I have ever played. The 17th, a par 3 over water, is both intimidating and beautiful. And finishing on the 18th with the clubhouse in the background feels iconic, like stepping right into golf history.

Off the course, the lodge and amenities are top notch. The clubhouse has an old school charm that reflects Arnold Palmer’s personality, with plenty of memorabilia and photographs celebrating his legacy. The locker room and practice facilities are first class, and the restaurant serves excellent food with great views of the course. Even if you are not playing, it is a wonderful place to relax, have a drink, and soak up the atmosphere.

What struck me most was the overall experience. Bay Hill is not just about playing a round of golf, it is about feeling connected to the game and to Arnie’s legacy. The combination of history, challenge, and hospitality make it a truly special place.

In short, Bay Hill is a must play for any golfer visiting Orlando. It is a course that challenges you, inspires you, and leaves you with lasting memories. If you love golf, it does not get much better than walking the fairways where Arnold Palmer left his mark on the game.”

“Loved staying at the Portofino Bay! It’s definitely pricey but you can’t beat the location. You can just walk right over to Universal Studios/Islands or take the boat over. Both great options. The rooms are nice and spacious with very comfortable beds and includes basics like shampoo, body lotions etc. There are a variety of restaurants available, it was late when we got back so we just ate at the deli. Food was just ok but we got to sit outside and enjoy the nice lake view. Grabbed coffee nice and early along with some breakfast items at Cafe Espresso and we were able to start our day. Everyone we encountered was very nice as well. This will be our go to place for Universal going forward.”

“Fred was amazing. We got to the hotel a little earlier than our check in time and he was able to get house keeping to have a room ready with in 15 mins. If you are looking for a great hotel with friendly staff I would recommend this location.”

“Great hotel. Everything was clean and in a safe and convenient location. Close to the action but still quiet. Good place to get a rest. DoorDash and uber eats delivers to the rooms, but there is also a restaurant in the hotel and a Denny’s within walking distance. There is a free shuttle to the universal parks, but we did not use it as uber was only $5-10. Staff were all very accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Clean and quiet rooms. Bathroom was clear and modern. They have shuttles for Universal (three different schedules to go, and the same for returns). The breakfast has variety and it was good. They start breakfast at 6:00am. Customer service was on point, and location was perfect for our trip.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay!
I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm smiles and genuine courtesy. Every interaction from check-in to breakfast service was marked by professionalism and friendliness.

The hotel itself was spotless. My room was impeccably clean, with fresh linens, a sparkling bathroom, and everything in perfect order. You can tell the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. Even the common areas were well maintained and inviting.

Breakfast was well-stocked and cleanly presented, and staff were attentive without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, service, and cleanliness so well, but this Holiday Inn Express absolutely nailed it.

I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip
highly recommended!”

“This is my favorite universal hotel by far. The only thing holding this place back is the lack of in park line perks you'd get at the portifino, hard rock, and royal pacific. But you get a good room, really cool pools which there are two that are really fun and a splash pad for the really little ones and other options. I've stayed at Disney, Gaylord palms, and the royal pacific, and a few Orlando area hotels and when I say this is my favorite I am not lying”

“Amazing stay!! I don’t have enough positive things to say about this property! We stayed here to visit Universal Studios and it was perfect! We took a $7 Lyft instead of the complimentary shuttle that’s offered but either one would’ve been fine. The breakfast was huge and offered a variety everyday! Oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausages, and smoked lunchmeat to make sandwiches with. Very clean area. The hotel is undergoing renovations but the only inconvenience was the front desk was relocated. Didn’t hear anything or see any dust. The room was brand new and beautiful! There was a towel swan in the bathroom, what a nice touch!! And the towels were so soft! Everything smelled so clean!! They even offered antibacterial wipes for the remotes!! We had the room next to the elevator and didn’t hear it at all! Very quiet, beautiful stay.Every single employee was happy and peasant! Didn’t catch any of them having a bad day! They were all very happy and accommodating every time I saw anyone. There was one minor issue I brought up to management and it was remedied within minutes!!The gym is new and super clean. I had an amazing workout and then foam rolled afterwards. It was just what I needed! Hot tub after that! The pool area was gorgeous and the grill area and fireplace was such a neat spot. There were a ton of cabanas by the pool and a hot tub! It was perfect!! We will definitely be back!!Rooms: Huge and luxurious!!!Nearby activities: Universal Studios and plenty of restaurants less than 6 minutes drive away.Safety: Very safe, only one way in to the property.Food & drinks: Variety breakfast and dinner on Wednesdays!Noteworthy details: Resort feel! Loved the towel swan!!”

“Response to the fake name that described The Oakland Manor as an ant invested, walls seeping, damage to property lady.. you are violating the true rights of people to leave a legitimate review about a place . You are not who you say you are and you are only trying to degrade an honest business only to gain some sort of notoriety or compensation for your own personal losses in your own lifePlease do not bring fake comments into an honest review area, you are insulting ALL of us who need a truth worthy commentary .Please consider this “whatever her name is” untrustworthy and very dishonest.ThankU”

“Front staff is good. Wilson seems depressed. Loveda has great energy along with karie (apology is i spell the names wrong, very beautiful names)

Dining staff Mikki was good host and understood when I gave back feed back that Akiko the waitress ignored me 3- 4 times, because I was a single patron at the table and not looking like a big tip to her. She literally skipped around me and asked every other family if they were fine and if they need anything. Also even looked my way but looked away after. Once I finally got the attention of another assistant she brought me the incorrect drink, and I told her thank you for finally recognizing me. (Wasnt a busy morning)I had already gotten my food and basically was close to finishing before she even acknowledged me. I was really needing even water. They should leave a water station or drink station. If the job of these waitresses are to hold us hostage for liquids and have us need them just to carry a glass of refreshments, trade it for a dispensary. I just wanted to have my meal in peace and pay and not have to deal with akiko after the fact of ignoring me and feeling uncomfortable to keep asking me if I wanted a drink after the fact of already close to finishing my meal.
Cant blame one bad apple, while others are doing their job well.
The busses to universal are on time, and punctual which is nice and appreciated. One of the bus drivers was not in the best of moods but we move on with the day.
Rooms were handled well, basic things nothing above or beyond.
Beds are super comfy, at least the top floor where I stayed.
Parking was efficient and there is plenty of parking.
Overall, I would come back here for my next visit to the parks but visit somewhere else in the morning for a better breakfast or meal experience, especially if a gratuity of 18% is automatically placed on my bill for a bad server. No thank you, I can get a fast food place that can do the same with 0% tip and the option to at least water at hand.
Thank you front desk.”

“Decent place to stay, but there isn’t much around the hotel. A lot of construction is going on nearby, so getting around requires taking a cab rather than walking. The breakfast was a downside for vegetarians there were no clear vegetarian or eggless options, and the staff wasn’t sure about the ingredients. Other than that, the stay was fine and works well for a short visit.”

“I stayed there for three nights two weeks ago when traveling for state related business nearby. I really enjoyed my stay due to its convenient location, friendly staff and excellent service. Philip and the other gentleman (sorry I forgot your name) at the front desk are very patient and helpful. Philip knew what he is doing and took the time to help me remove state sales tax from my bill after my presenting of my state issued tax exemption card and ID. I definitely will stay there again when traveling nearby next time. Way to go, Philip and Team!”
