“If you shop at trader Joe's you start to develop favorites. Things that they carry that are proprietary to them or that just seem better than what you might pick up at a regular grocery store. For example, they have some very fine cheeses that you don't see elsewhere. They carry a brand of mineral water that I am very fond of and almost no one else carries it. Employees are helpful and their registers are always manned adequately. They always carry flowers and especially there is a great selection around Valentine's Day.”

“I’ve lived on both the East and West Coast, and this is by far one of the best Mediterranean/Turkish grocery stores I’ve come across. They have a great selection of authentic desserts and foods, plus a variety of Eastern European and Turkish wines and beers. I even found ice cream here that I would have never imagined seeing in this area! You can truly find everything you need in one place.”

“It's the butcher shop you grew up with but better. Great steaks, marinated meats, sausages, prepared sides and appetizers, jerky and much more. Excellent service. The breakfast sausage is the best I've ever had. We buy Prime tenderloins there every year for Christmas Dinner. It's my go to place for tailgating food as well.”
“The food was so fresh and delicious. The falafel and hummus were made in-house and all of our food was made to order. The shawarma was perfect. The portions were incredibly generous for the price, and the chef was very friendly and helpful. Janie's is a great addition to the neighborhood. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Publix is built above the parking garage. You either go up an escalator or elevator to reach the store.
There’s parking in the parking lot as well as in the garage. The deli staff is friendly.
The store is clean and fairly well stocked. The fried chicken and wing selection was sparse so I had to wait 25 minutes for the wings to be cooked.”

“As a tourist, I had to check out the local Publix and I was seriously impressed! 🛒🌴 What an amazing selection of absolutely everything. The store was beautiful, clean, organized, and everything from the fresh produce to the prepared foods looked incredibly high quality. You can definitely see why Publix is such a Florida favorite! 💚 Another pleasant surprise, I didn’t have to pay extra for plastic bags! 😄”

“Great prices. Tip: go early in the day if you want fresh produce (at fantastic prices). Their organic produce selection is small but you can find organic spinach,organic cucumber, salad mix, organic zucchini and sometimes organic broccoli. Notably, they do not have organic carrots.”
“It's reminds of the good ole days. Grocery shopping where the staff are smiling and it's genuine, they're happy, they're glad to be working there and it shows. They're closed on Sunday, that means a lot to many people! The way things are displayed, the hand written notes, the atmosphere, the feel you have walking through the store. It's not big box, it's not corporate looking or feeling. It's what it was in simpler, friendlier and more family oriented. It just gives you a warm welcome feeling that is rare in this age of artificial intelligence and digital electronics dominating everything.”

A great selection and if you live in LWR, you don’t have to cross over to get Into traffic to go to Whole Foods or The Fresh Market.

“First off I was greeted upon entering store with a warm smile that was genuine. The owner immediately let me know if there was anything she could help me with, to let her know. I informed her it was my first time there and she took the time to then let me know how her discount store worked. We ended up having great conversation along with finding very low prices lower prices than Aldi's or save a lot could ever dream of. I live in Bradenton but will definitely be driving to Sarasota to continue to go to the store. Dry goods to snacks pasta drinks some things in the refrigerator like milk and eggs and I believe cheese bacon along with hygiene items miscellaneous and even some clothing definitely a gem of a store and I cannot wait to go back”
“Middle of the road Hungarian cuisine. We sampled the tripe stew, chicken paprikash, and chicken soup.
Having eaten in Hungary on numerous occasions, we found the food bland. Perhaps it is made to cater to the American taste. The tripe was well prepared, as this is something difficult to cook properly. All in all, it was a good meal, but the passion in preparation was lacking.”

“A clean and convenient Publix with friendly staff
We visited this Publix several times at different times of the day, and we really enjoyed our experience. We especially appreciated that the posted opening hours were consistently accurate.
Most of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The store was generally clean, well-organized, and not overly crowded, which made shopping comfortable.
We used the deli section quite a bit during our visits and were very happy with it. There is also a small seating area next to the store where you can sit and eat. It was clean and comfortable, and there were charging outlets available, which was a nice bonus.
The restrooms were also spacious and very clean, which we really appreciated.
One small thing we noticed was that there was quite a bit of frost buildup inside one of the ice cream freezers. It looked like that particular freezer could use some maintenance.
And one fun thing to mention: sushi is $5 on Wednesdays! We tried it, and honestly, it was pretty decent for $5. 😊
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would definitely visit this Publix again.”

“I have been a customer at Piccolos for almost 5 years now since I moved down here from NYC. Being Italian, it was very hard to finally find a place that reminded me of the deli I used to go to in the Bronx. We eat here often and take food to go all the time.
Recently, I had a party for my son’s 30th and instead of cooking all the food, I catered some from Piccolos and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the compliments from family and friends were amazing. One family member said that the pizza was the best that they’ve had since moving down here, another wanted only the chicken parmigiana and raved about it. My favorite was the 4 foot hero that I ordered especially for this party. We had 2 feet made with chicken cutlet, mozzarella and roasted red peppers and the other 2 feet was the DomD. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
We love Piccolos and the owners and staff are just some of the best people to deal with.
If you are having a party, want some lunch, or want to bring home some of the freshest food (cooked and uncooked) this is the place you are looking for!
