“If you shop at trader Joe's you start to develop favorites. Things that they carry that are proprietary to them or that just seem better than what you might pick up at a regular grocery store. For example, they have some very fine cheeses that you don't see elsewhere. They carry a brand of mineral water that I am very fond of and almost no one else carries it. Employees are helpful and their registers are always manned adequately. They always carry flowers and especially there is a great selection around Valentine's Day.”
“I’ve lived on both the East and West Coast, and this is by far one of the best Mediterranean/Turkish grocery stores I’ve come across. They have a great selection of authentic desserts and foods, plus a variety of Eastern European and Turkish wines and beers. I even found ice cream here that I would have never imagined seeing in this area! You can truly find everything you need in one place.”

“Absolutely love this butcher shop!!! There's not a single item we've ever had that we didn't love! The Argentine steak tips and pork chops are amazing, and our absolute favorite. Recently, we had the slightest misunderstanding, and before I had a chance to realize that we had bought someone else's order, they had called and texted me to let me know they wanted to make it right.
They were our favorite before this happened, and the honest way they approached this is exactly why we will continue to love them! You don't get the quality, selection, and service like this from a big box store. Support local business, like this one and there's no possibility of disappointment.

“This store is one of the best Publix I have ever experienced. But a manager named Sarah completely lacks the social skills and respect for the Publix Organization. Almost all of the associates properly greet customers. But this manager is a failure at reflecting the Publix policy of acknowledging and greeting customers. She is not qualified nor does she has personal skills required to manage coworkers if she fails to perform the basic duty of making shopping at Publix an enjoyable experience. “DetWiler Farms is one of the funnest grocery stores ever. It is tradition with my family to go to DetWiler's Saturday evening just before closing for Yoder's ice cream cones and some 2 for one fresh baked goods. The deli sandwiches are great. The produce and fruit are second to none. The extensive selection of organic jellies and candies and hard to find sodas are fun. How many other grocery stores are a destination itself?”

“It's reminds of the good ole days. Grocery shopping where the staff are smiling and it's genuine, they're happy, they're glad to be working there and it shows. They're closed on Sunday, that means a lot to many people! The way things are displayed, the hand written notes, the atmosphere, the feel you have walking through the store. It's not big box, it's not corporate looking or feeling. It's what it was in simpler, friendlier and more family oriented. It just gives you a warm welcome feeling that is rare in this age of artificial intelligence and digital electronics dominating everything.”

The manager was called over to assist.
The manager, Matt, took the time to rescan all of my items, helping me discover what the issue was with my card so that I could purchase my food. I was embarrassed, but Matt made sure that I felt that I really mattered. Great customer service!”
“First off I was greeted upon entering store with a warm smile that was genuine. The owner immediately let me know if there was anything she could help me with, to let her know. I informed her it was my first time there and she took the time to then let me know how her discount store worked. We ended up having great conversation along with finding very low prices lower prices than Aldi's or save a lot could ever dream of. I live in Bradenton but will definitely be driving to Sarasota to continue to go to the store. Dry goods to snacks pasta drinks some things in the refrigerator like milk and eggs and I believe cheese bacon along with hygiene items miscellaneous and even some clothing definitely a gem of a store and I cannot wait to go back”
“Middle of the road Hungarian cuisine. We sampled the tripe stew, chicken paprikash, and chicken soup.
Having eaten in Hungary on numerous occasions, we found the food bland. Perhaps it is made to cater to the American taste. The tripe was well prepared, as this is something difficult to cook properly. All in all, it was a good meal, but the passion in preparation was lacking.”

“Stopped in for some charcuterie fixings and Dave in the hot food section helped me and my friend. He was so polite, friendly and funny. When I inquired about the Publix famous chicken finger subs he was very informative. We had already filled our cart so we declined ordering a sub. He went out of his way to find us and offer a sample. The chicken with his mix of hot honey and siracha sauce was AMAZING!
Hold on to this wonderful employee! You dont get customer service like that anymore!”
“Ppl get to know ya who work here. Ray the butcher is outstanding. Butchering is a lost art and it's being phased out because of vac(map) packaging, ascorbic acid, carbon monoxide,nitrates which makes meat not be fresh but gives the appearance it is. Support the trade. Buy your meat fresh. The grocery chains say it saves liability. Well if you can keep wet aged meat red for 45 days your deceiving the customer. You lose the cuts we grew up with. Regardless it's not fresh. Doesn't offer special cuts and in some cases you don't know what's in it. If you can't buy your meat from Ray. Just buy your proteins from a place that still cuts down the animals. Ray said 90 percent of all these ppl that cut steaks aren't butchers they just cut meat and 99 percent can't tell you where it comes from ,how it's attached, what's best for how your cooking or what part of the animal is used for what and what's new or troubling the industry. Butchers should be focused on their trade. Not unboxing hotdogs or bacon. Stores are forcing entry level labor on experienced usually older ppl that could help future generations of trades ppl. It's hard to teach hungry young adults a trade when society is doing away with a trade that has been around since the first meat eater. Support your meat industry. Get your roast or steaks wrapped in brown paper. Keep plastic packaging for milk.”

“I've been coming to Publix for a long time now, so I know where everything is at. They have always had ample fresh fruit and vegetables. The people who work there have always been helpful and friendly, and they've helped me find .Prices here are very competitive. The parking lot at the local grocery store is quite spacious and conveniently located. There are plenty of designated handicap spaces available, and the overall cleanliness of the store is indeed excellent. The restrooms are consistently well-maintained and kept very clean.”
“I have been a customer at Piccolos for almost 5 years now since I moved down here from NYC. Being Italian, it was very hard to finally find a place that reminded me of the deli I used to go to in the Bronx. We eat here often and take food to go all the time.
Recently, I had a party for my son’s 30th and instead of cooking all the food, I catered some from Piccolos and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the compliments from family and friends were amazing. One family member said that the pizza was the best that they’ve had since moving down here, another wanted only the chicken parmigiana and raved about it. My favorite was the 4 foot hero that I ordered especially for this party. We had 2 feet made with chicken cutlet, mozzarella and roasted red peppers and the other 2 feet was the DomD. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
We love Piccolos and the owners and staff are just some of the best people to deal with.
If you are having a party, want some lunch, or want to bring home some of the freshest food (cooked and uncooked) this is the place you are looking for!
