Dr. G and her team at South Tampa Veterinary Care are truly the best!!
I first went to STVC about two years ago with my sister’s dog when things were not looking good. Dr. G was thorough, attentive, understanding, realistic, and incredibly patient with all of our questions and concerns. She took exceptional care of him and allowed us to do everything we possibly could. Although he did not make it, we were grateful for the compassion and dignity she showed every step of the way.
After that experience, I began bringing my own dog to Dr. G. Recently, my sweet girl’s kidney levels were dangerously elevated, and again, it wasn’t looking promising. Dr. G walked me through every concern, set realistic expectations, and still gave me hope that we could try every appropriate course of action. She answered all of my calls and emails, went above and beyond, and made sure my girl and I had everything we needed to give her a fighting chance.
The front office staff and technicians are equally wonderful. They always made my little princess feel safe and comfortable and even let her stay in her stroller during hospital days to reduce her stress. That level of kindness matters more than words can express.
Today, Coco’s kidney levels have dropped dramatically, and she is slowly but steadily returning to her usual self at a “young” almost 14-year-old Yorkie.
I also want to thank Dr. Coons for thoughtfully writing a food prescription for my girl without me even asking after overhearing my conversation about how difficult it was to find something she would eat. That kind of attentiveness and care is rare.
Both doctors are dedicated and love what they do and that is incredibly apparent by their work ethic. They genuinely care not only about their patients but about the fur parents, too. You will not find a better veterinary team in Tampa.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing by our side and helping us get to where we are today.

4323 W Tyson Ave, TampaAn 80-pound German Shepard Dog, even if he is friendly at heart, can put fear in people and other dogs who don't know him. On day two, when I walked into the room and saw five dogs sitting on their beds quietly and not getting off, I was surprised to see my GSD among them. I knew I had found what I was looking for. I had done the puppy training and the basic training. I even did an online training. Nothing was like the Dog Wizard and our trainer, Deirdre. She was knowledgeable, caring, and patient (more with me) yet firm when needed. Her experience made her a natural at training our dog. She was even better at training me and explaining to me all the things about dogs that I thought I already knew. It was fun and a great learning environment for both me and Sage (our GSD). What made it even better is that at the end, I was told there are support classes twice a month that we were invited to for life. Can't get any better than that! I strongly recommend Deirdre and the Dog Wizard to make you a better dog owner and your dog a better friend.

All Dogs Unleashed Dog Training Tampa

The team did an exceptional job addressing each of these problems during his two-week board and train program.
Throughout the process, communication was excellent.
They kept us updated regularly and sent pictures and videos so we could see Yogi's progress.
When we picked him up, they thoroughly explained all the training techniques and provided detailed guidance on continuing the work at home.
They even walked us through everything they did at their facility.
The results speak for themselves - Yogi no longer pulls on walks, he's much calmer overall, and his problematic behaviors have dramatically improved.
The transformation has been remarkable, and we couldn't be happier with the training he received.

But in-spite my efforts, she was growing dog and people reactive. I founds my self starting to dread taking her for walks and doing things with her. When I contacted Sam Ivy I was a skeptical but I honestly was running out of options. Today I have a different dog. She has grown in confidence, I can literally take her anywhere and trust she is going to behave and not be reactive. She still reacts to some dogs but not to a level of aggression. She listens and follows commands. I have come to understand my dog and learned how to provide the environment she needs to thrive. I hav e also seen how my dog has come to trust me, which I believe is important with anxious rescues. I cant thank Sam Ivy enough but especially Gina. Gina has been my trainer throughout the process and I could not have asked for someone more caring and understanding. She is truly a rockstar and I am thankful beyond words for the results she has delivered. I tried other obedience courses before, but Gina and Sam Ivy are truly next level. Thank you both!

Revolution Dog Training

She took the time to learn about our dogs and our goals for them. She is a true professional! We were thrilled that our twin pups got to spend their 10 day program working with PJ. The results were amazing! We didn’t have high expectations just because they are still very young, but PJ was able to accomplish such a great deal in helping our pups learn many basic commands, acclimated them to being on a leash, and helped them on their way to potty training. The lasting effects after their 10 day program has added structure that has made our pups more engaging and overall seem happier! She took the time at the end of our program to come to our home and spend several hours educating and working with us on the strategies she instilled. She is a wealth of knowledge and is very kind and approachable. It’s clear that our dogs developed a bond with her indicative of her kind and caring demeanor. After the program and even after her visit to our home, PJ has continued to follow up on our dogs’ progress and has made herself available to answer any questions that arise. Overall PJ and Revolution Dog training far surpassed our expectations and would strongly recommend to any.

TampaJax is my 3 year old toy poodle and he’s a great dog. However, walking him was a huge challenge for me and embarrassing. When he saw people and other dogs outside he would start to pant and I could feel the anxiety building up just holding on to the leash. He would pull, get up on his hind legs squirming around barking, trying to get off the leash, which led into a high screeching sound. It was embarrassing because it appeared as if he was being hurt by me. But it was him trying to get their attention so they can come to him and pet him. I finally decided to seek training for him and thank God I did. Brian is an amazing trainer and was able to correct Jax’s behavior while walking. It was like I had a new dog. I totally didn’t recognize him. Like “what did you do with my dog?” LOL However I knew the real challenge would be when I had to do it alone and continue to do it everyday. We’re still working on this everyday and he’s been a well behaved dog. Maybe a glitch or 2 but I corrected him immediately with the techniques I was taught. He will give you homework and if you remain consistent, you will see the improvement with your dog. He also makes it easily accessible for you to reach out to him if you’re having an issue you feel you can’t correct. He makes you feel comfortable, explains everything in detail and listens to your concerns. Brian’s techniques work! I highly recommend Brian of Awoken K9.

The banana was very fresh, no bruises or brown marks, and the caramel and the almonds set perfectly in between and sandwich the ice cream and is very well plastic cup that looked like it was made for banana splits, and banana splits only

Picnic Island Beach Dog Park
7409 Picnic Island Blvd, TampaWe've been back twice and we'll be back again. This is a 40 minute drive for us but for our pup to get some off leash beach time it's worth it. By the water is pretty rocky with the exception of one area (shown in the video) so you'll want something on your feet. There's a pretty big parking lot that's free. The first time we went (a Monday holiday) it wasn't too busy and all the dogs were really well behaved. Those who didn't have a good recall on their dog seemed to keep them on a leash. I appreciate this. The last time we went it was busier (a Sunday). One person didn't have control over her dog and it kept going after dogs and being a little too rough. It wouldn't bother me normally, but my dog was clearly uncomfortable with this and she did nothing. It went after our dog when she was in the water playing with us so we got between them. At that point our dog was showing teeth so we moved to the other side of the park. In the meantime her dog went to the bathroom and she pretended not to see it. Besides her, everyone else I saw cleaned up after their dog. It's a big enough area that you can separate yourself from one dog by walking further down. There's more grass as you walk further down and a handful of picnic tables. A couple are in the shade. It'd make a good place to train your dog to stay or practice recall. There's a disk golf area right on the side of the beach and a lot of the disk golfers brought their dogs too. If you can go during the week it'd probably be safer.

I've had other groomers just shave him short and he looks like a gremlin. But my dog has never had a bad haircut here. Pic after today's cut

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay
3607 N Armenia Ave, TampaJoe was my family’s adoption counselor and he was very rude and condescending. He talked to my family like we were Uneducated and never had a pet in our lives ! Now we are different but we are Americans so I don’t know why he treated us so poorly. This guy left a bad impression and we will not be returning. Now we adopted our first pet there 9 years ago and never was treated like that! We love our new baby and I can say it was worth the mistreatment but really! This was bad!! Just wanted to know if anyone had the same experience with him?
Update: Humane Society is amazing to resolve the issue immediately . They don’t play around. Thank you for seeing into this situation I truly appreciate it.
