“We recently purchased a car from Aiona auto sales and didn't even realize that it had a light out. The service dept had checked the car over the day before and already ordered the part. About a week later, I got a call to bring it in and scheduled an appointment for the following week.When I arrived, they were expecting me and let me know how long it would take. The man at the service desk checked to see if I wanted to wait or have him call when ready and offered their air-conditioned waiting room.It was set up nicely with a table and chairs, as well as a couch, TV, bookshelf of books to look at while waiting, and a restroom that was clean and well-stocked.They were friendly, nice, and fast. Great experience!2nd and 3rd visits were even better! They take such good care! Had to get a part that was back ordered. They called and got my car in right away when it arrived and got me back on the road super quick. They so great!”

“Jericho at front desk was great. Booked a "managers special" on expedia. Although I couldn't upgrade to a jeep because I'm under 25 :( I got a kia Forte which was pretty nice and had 20k+ miles. Was clean and ran smoothe. Great on gas. Would recommend 8/10. Easy and simple and quick service”

“The best experience with renting a car! Many thanks to the entire team. We had only one free day in Hilo. I did not want to rent a car in airport (required booking day or more ahead, travel there by bus/uber, long waiting time, crazy deposits…). And as an European country citizen I had problems with missing US/Canada drivers insurance. But here, they have cooperation with insurance companies. No reservation before, I just walked there at 9 am, and left after 10 minutes with car and all the paper work. Used my credit card, international driving license and for a nice price, no deposit!!!! I got a car for 24 hrs, with insurance. The car was great! Thanks again, for saving my dynamic travel plans and free day in Hilo and helped me to travel around beaches, parks, farms. And mainly - thanks for driving me back to hotel after returning a car!”

“I had to rent a car as I had to drop off my car at Body Pro to have a dent repaired. I stopped by Enterprise last week to make a reservation for a rental and the woman I talk to was so nice and helpful in helping me the reservation by asking me what size of car I wanted to rent, and how long I needed the car.,etc. Yesterday when I went to picked up the rental another woman helped me with the paperwork and took me outside to see car I wanted, I originally reserved a med size but she asked me if I would like to take a compact? So I decided to rent the compact instead. She showed me how to open the doors, start the car as it was a keyless model. I rented a car from them a couple of years ago and treated me well so when I needed to rent a car again ai went back to them. They even called me this morning to see how if I was happy with the car. I would highly recommend them if ever need a rental car. RS from Keaau”

“We rented a car from National (via Priceline) for 2 weeks during our vacation to the Big Island. The pick up near baggage claim was super convenient and easy. It's about a 5 minute ride to the car rental station. There was a small line but it moved slowly because some foreigners did not have the correct paperwork and did not understand English well, but that was not the fault of National. When it was my turn, check in was easy. We got the type of car that I wanted. The car was clean and in good shape, and off we went. Turning in the car at the end of our trip was easy too. Overall, no complaints. I would rent from National again.”

“Awesome Experience with this place! First, a note about the Hilo Rental car market, this was just a couple weeks ago, no Festival going, the heavy wave of tourists for the Volcano calmed down, and there was only ONE, yes, ONE rental car available from any of the Big Companies (hertz, payless, etc.)! it was like this for a couple months, if not still today, and when you could find one it was outrageously expensive. Get it together Big Car Rental Execs!Ok, I wish I remembered the owner's name, she really took care of me. She was on the way back from an appointment and picked me up from a mechanic shop in Hilo where I was getting a sudden and emergency repair to our main vehicle. She not only had a couple vehicles available to rent, She didn't Gouge in any way. It was like $70.00, which was Lower than Turo or the big companies by at least $30. This speaks volumes about the company, being that she had the only cars available and could have gouged.She also Referred me to a local mechanic that was down to earth, knew their stuff and save me several-hundred-dollars in the process of fixing our truck, which is why we were renting this time in the first place.We started with the Mini-Van and changed out for something sportier a couple hours later, and again, She was super-accommodating. The minivan was pretty nice with the automatic doors and all that room could be perfect for us on some occasions, but we had no need for it this time. The Ants weren't in it, as someone else commented, however; I would just like to point out, if this sat for a little while, or someone had it at the beach a lot, THIS IS HAWAII! It happens. Ants hide. I'm sure when these guys discovered it they took care of it.Our CRV was Great, Our Deposit was Returned, however; we did have to call and remind her. Keep in mind this is a small business…Small Dings and Dents are going to MATTER more to these guys. They don’t handle the volume of the big guys. And little things like secretarial and bookkeeping you may need to stay after, as the owner is doing it all. At least the majority of the time.With all that said, you do exactly as I do even with the big companies, and you WON’T have a problem..-As soon as you pull the car to an open spot, take photos around the perimeter of the car from about 6-8 angles, so every ding scratch and scuff may be blown up and seen later, Even the rims.- Take a couple photos of the interior also if needed. The Gas gage too (If not full). Your photos are time stamped automatically.- When you return, wipe it out, throw out the garbage and use a couple rags to wipe the mats and such. Not too Difficult, right? If it happens to not be raining in Hilo, give it a hose down. This will be your biggest pain in the rear in Hilo, finding a working carwash (Or working machines to put air in your tires..anywhere!LOL). Oh, there are not any quarter operated carwashes either. I guess cause it’s usually raining.Enjoy this majestic and beautiful Place!Aloha”
