“My husband and I have purchased a rug crafted in Tabriz from a blend of wool and silk from Moe at Beautiful Rugs and we couldn't even dream of better guidance and the outcome! As soon as we put a rug on the floor, we couldn't imagine our apartment without it. It became a true gem and attention grabber for our guests (even our parents, who are a bit hard to impress :)Buying a Persian rug for the first time is a leap of faith in a way, but Moe offered an outstanding selection of magnificent handmade masterpieces and was incredibly helpful with every detail we asked about. Knowing that we can stay in touch with him and receive care instructions if anything happens to the rug is reassuring.I hope we'll be returning to Moe for more beautiful rugs when our household grows.”

“I have been shopping at five elements home for a few years. The owner is amazing. One time I had an issues with a box of incense. They were to sweet for me, I took thr box back for home to use it at his store as I was not looking to complaint just did not feel right to waste them. He took them back and actually offer me to get a box of what he was using at the time for his store. The best trade ever. This time around he was not there, but two great people where there and super nice and helpful. We got finally a set of bowls that I was interested in. A gardenia candle and the ceramic container. I love this store and love the owner and the employees. If you looking to make a dainty elegant gift for those that love Japanese craft this is your place. Prices are fair and I say it because the quality. I own a lot of Japanese stuff. I will go out of my way to buy original items and stop buying stuff mass produce in other country that starts with C. Anyway this store is a gift for all your senses.”

“If you love vintage, you're going to love shopping at Strangelovely. I am so glad Kim relocated her fabulous shop from Chicago back to her hometown roots. It fits perfectly inside this historical home. Her boutique has not only fashions, but decor for the home. I missed out on two fabulous nude male sketches for my new bathroom. They were snatched up by another shopper and we had a good laugh. He was buying them for the exact same reason. One table displaying a large variety of serving pieces really caught my eye. It had something for everyones taste. It was a good mix, of silver-plate and brass. With these pieces, a novice could create a stunning table for entertaining. I only made a small purchase, but it was a favorite item. I added two soy candles to my collection in masculine scents, Tobacco and Black Pepper. I can't wait to strike a match and have the aroma fill my new house. Kim and her associates were charming and helpful. “We came to Utopio get some custom cushions made for a pair of vintage mid-century Swedish armchairs. Anne and her team did a first-rate job in every respect. My wife and I could not be more pleased. We were able to pick an eco-friendly fabric and foam, and the cushions were done in the promised three-week window. And they were even delivered to our home at no extra charge. In addition, it is nice to work with a local business with a long family history in Chicago.”

I first met Jared from Circa Modern six or seven years ago when he had a very notable booth at 20th Century Cincinnati . I have several pieces from Circa Modern that are definitely in my forever home. This week he was gracious enough to meet me in Chicago despite not being open, and gave me a detailed tour of the shop and new warehouse loft space. I filled my truck with exceptional quality goodies. Also got tips on good burritos nearby. I've been collecting for twenty five years and this is as good as it gets for vintage!”
