We first wandered in because we were looking for a new piece that could work as a TV stand. Our particle board one was on its last legs, and we wanted a replacement that would last. We found a beautiful rolling buffet with a marble top, and wanted to buy it immediately, but we had no idea how we were going to get the thing to and in our apartment. The cashier whipped out a piece of paper, and told me to call Bart. They make it so easy to pick things up, and Bart was wonderful to work with for delivery. The owners are so cute and make the place even better. We went back and found a second piece, and can't wait to see what is there the next time we pop in!”
“We inherited a Victorian armchair and loveseat that were falling apart at the seams. The wood was in terrible shape, and had an unattractive dark finish. Donna was extremely kind and helpful throughout the process. She gave practical advice, and spent a long time looking through upholstery samples with us. We decided to completely strip the wood to reveal the natural wood grain, re-glued, and reupholstered both pieces. All the work was done in approx two weeks, and all correspondence was answered promptly. We are over the moon with the results. The colors are stunning, and great care was taken to line up the complex pattern of the upholstery with the tufting. Excellent service and excellent results. We will be back with future products. Highly recommend.”
“I had nothing but a great experience with HT Market. The website is solid and informative. Working with Tom and Alan is a joy; you can tell they are passionate about the business and the products they sell. Email isn't instant, nor would I expect it to be, but it is plenty prompt and within 24 hours. They are also easily reachable by phone. I used to always get theater chairs for myself and others from another seller on AVS who recently retired. The front row of my theater had his cheapest chairs, which broke down within 7 years. I ordered a row of 4 Wavelands to replace them and I regret not doing it sooner. They look nicer, the mechanisms and motors are faster, quieter and seem of better quality, and most importantly, the chairs are significantly more comfortable. In my pictures, you can see the Wavelands in the front and a set of the other chairs in the back row. After using the HT Market chairs, it's just a matter of time before I replace them all. Shipping was good: I ordered the in-stock chairs, they shipped a couple of days later and I received an email update with tracking info. They were then sent to the local white-glove delivery company and in the end, I had the chairs within 2 weeks of ordering. Overall I can't recommend HT Market enough and I plan to buy more than just chairs in the future.”

“A very overdue review, but my experience at Futons-N-More was incredible from beginning to end. Do not underestimate this small store – they have plenty of options available for both futon frames and futon mattresses; not only can you get a wide variety of futon frame designs, you can also choose from a variety of finishes and colors. Greg was perhaps the most helpful and delightful salesperson I have ever dealt with. He knows more about futons than you could possibly imagine. He is also patient and kind, he was willing to explain the ins and outs of each model, and he happily allowed me to take my time exploring every option available. This store will NOT sell you anything you don't need; Greg asked me what my top priority was (price, design, or durability). Although I was willing to pay any price for a futon frame and mattress that will last for years to come, Greg steered me away from a costlier option, instead directing me to a lower-priced option that, in his experience, was even more durable and long-lasting. (And I am glad I followed his expert advice – this futon (the Portofino) is SOLID and I can tell it will be around for a long time!) When my new futon came in, they called me and asked if I would like them to deliver it and set it up on the same day – which was a pleasant surprise, considering that it was the day before Thanksgiving! They wanted me to have the option of showing off my new furniture for the holiday. They were courteous, cautious, and respectful as they delivered and assembled my futon. They did excellent work, and they were incredibly fast, too! Futons-N-More has been in business in Chicago for a few decades now (first in Hyde Park, now in Buena Park/Lakeview), and they have loyal, repeat customers. I now know why. Their knowledge, customer service, and inventory are top tier, their prices are fair, their goods are high quality, and they are honest. PLEASE shop local and support small, family-owned businesses like Futons-N-More — it is businesses like these that make our neighborhoods and our city great, and that ensure high-quality products are available to us (much better than anything you could get off the internet or in a warehouse-style store). Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
