“The employee quickly and easily handled my UK shipment, which was something three clerks at other branches (two at 540 N. Dearborn and one at 3024 N. Ashland) couldn’t figure out. She was also kind and warm. Also, it's small, not crowded, and easy to get in and out of.”
“It’s not perfect but the people here try much harder than other post offices. There is actually a sense of customer service, no temper, no attitude. I can’t blame them for the failings of an underfunded system. If you want a real taste of hell try going two miles east to the post office on Grace. The abuse will burn your face. You will go running back to Cicero.”

“In late April, I visited the Dearborn branch of the U.S. Postal Service to submit my documents for passport renewal. Given how excruciating such bureaucratic business can be, *Jerry* seemed Heaven-sent as the angel who processed my passport renewal request with attention, care, kindness, and infectious humor! Jerry was as funny as he was informative. Sure enough, each step towards obtaining my new passport occurred just as Jerry predicted. I am eternally grateful to Jerry for his diligence, expertise, humor, and superlative courtesy towards us cranky and nervous clients!”

“I come here a lot and I have to say the service is really great. About 80% of the time. Sometimes I think they are just having a bad day, but in general, this is a great place, the best post office in my experience so far.”
“Came in on a Monday around 5:30 pm before closing. Not a long line. I was just dropping off some packages. The lady at the desk was friendly and I was in and out in 10 minutes.”

I can’t thank Rachel enough for hearing my situation, sharing alternative solves, and ultimately digging through packages and chatting with carriers on site to try to recover my package over the course of my 2 visits. Huge relief and immense gratitude”
“Parking can be a challenge at times since it’s located between resident homes. Best to use your hazard lights when parked in a non parking spot. The closer it gets to 3pm and closing time theres more traffic due to 2 schools being let out so be patient. The full time employee that works there is amazing. She’s very informative and is straight to the point. Treat her with respect and kindness & you’ll get treated the same.”

The supervisor, Ms. Cherry, was helpful and knowledgeable in assisting me with resolving the issue and obtaining my refund.

“Theresa & Iesha are the best. They’re always so nice and informative about the post office when I come in to pick up late mail, return packages, pick up packages or just ask a simple question. If one leaves the desk to retrieve mail or inform their about supervisor about an issue supervisor the other one is smiling and working efficient trying to get customers in and out. Great job ladies. I appreciate all that you do for our neighborhood!”

“I went to this location about half an hour before closing on a Friday (I know ... it was the earliest I could get there) in order to send a package of documents internationally. I had reviewed the options online, but still wasn't sure what the best shipping option would be. The USPS worker who helped me was patient with my questions and informative in her explanation of the options; she explained clearly the delivery timelines for different methods and which offered signature on delivery (which I needed). I stepped aside to complete the necessary forms; because of the time of day, of course, several people passed through while I was there, and she was able to help everyone get through the line before closing. (There was one woman who came in and did try to skip the whole line and went straight to the counter while there was a customer being assisted, and the USPS worker -- rightly! -- told her she'd need to get in line like everyone else.) Post offices get a bad rap for service, but I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this location for help with any shipping in the future.”
“It's not as bad as others say, the person inside has a launch break, if someone is not there. The hours could be better but it's far closer than going to Halsted.”
