“I go here sometimes when my local Fleet Store does not have something in stock that I want right away. They have a large inventory of shoes and can also get what you want if it isn’t there quickly. Staff as in all these stores are excellent, personable and very knowledgeable. This time the sales person Anne was particularly helpful with advice about a new shoe model and was incredibly patient with my picky self in handling a complicated exchange transaction that included getting some shoes for me from their warehouse sent to my local store. Fleet Feet stores that I’ve been going to for 20 years from Chicago to the western burbs are by far the best running shoe stores anywhere.”

Angela was so awesome in helping me throughout the whole time I was there, from scanning my feet with a 3D digital scanner, understanding what I was searching for in a shoe, and helping me find the best shoes that worked for me. “We love this dance supply shop. We have made last minute stops for tights, dance shoes, and earrings and every time Marybeth is very knowledgeable, calm, and helpful. Case in point: It was the night before recital, and of course we could not find my girl's ballet slippers. It was 30 minutes before store closing and I knew we would not make it to Saxton on time. I called to see if I could sneak in an order still. I paid on the phone and picked up the ballet slippers at the music shop next door. Marybeth saves the day!”
“Cheap, and fast(same day work) with great quality work. To restitch, water proof and clean my work boots was $20. And I’m a sprink… if you know then you know how dirty my boots get(black water). Bring this place all your shoes I think new or old they can make any foot wear problems go away. I will be back!!”
“Golden Shoes was recommended by the rounding podiatrist at my mom's assisted living (Evergreen Senior Living). She has a spur on her left heel that's quite painful, so the Dr. said GS sells cushy shoes that could give her some relief. My mom is 88I phoned Monday, 4/29 at about 5:45 pm. The lady said she'd have to call me back, as the store was slammed. OK. Well, around 8 pm, Camille called back. I said, "It can wait until tomorrow; go home!" She said, "You sounded kind of desperate, so I called tonight." We ran through the situation and she assured me they could help.My mom had a Dr. appt. on Thursday, 5/2, so I wanted to kill a couple of birds while she was out anyway. Camille told me she might not be in when we came, but Mike could take care of us. And boy, did he! She hadn't be back of 5 minutes at Evergreen before receiving two compliments on the shoes. It's not about the fashion, but rather the comfort/relief the shoes bring. She said it was about 80% better.Mike was so kind, patient, professional, but relaxed; great sense of humor, too! I can't say enough about Golden Shoes, their staff and selection. We frequent restaurants nearby, but never knew the store existed. I'm so thankful Dr. Maureen recommended it. Without a doubt, I'd go there again AND recommend it to others!Thank you Golden Shoes!”
“Yesterday I was fortunate enough to go into your VonMaur Store in Bloomington/Normal Illinois. It should be noted that my friend and I received incredible customer service from Karen in women’s clothing, Ann in Jewelry and from a gentleman who helped us in Men’s Clothing. All three Sales Reps were juggling other people while we were shopping (and asking questions as well) and they showed extreme adaptability, knowledge of inventory, patience, and kindness. We were seriously going to walk out with nothing when Karen asked us to try a couple of different dresses and in different sizes and to make a long story short, we both bought the last dress that each of us tried on because of her incredible salesmanship and knowledge of the product, material and fit! A great experience to shop in your stores and she even surpassed the attention test that I always attributed to only boutiques.”

“I came to the Allen Edmonds store at Oak Brook with a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenue shoes that I’d snagged during the Anniversary Sale. Given that I’d ordered the shoes online and that this was my first pair of nice dress shoes, I wasn’t 100% sure they fit properly, and I was looking to get some advice from one of the sales associates on the fit. Michael dispelled my fears by having me try on the shoes in-store and inspecting the fit by hand, explaining each facet of the fit and why my current size fit well. For extra reassurance, he also brought out a pair in the other size that I was considering to try on, to which he explained why the size I didn’t go with didn’t quite fit properly. Lastly, he explained the recrafting process when the time comes and the different sole options that would be available. Overall, Michael made the visit quick and easy, and reassured me that I’d made the correct choice. Knowing better for next time, I’ll be sure to visit the Allen Edmonds store in Oak Brook for my next pair!”
“Stopped in today to get new sneakers, and had a great experience.
It’s been a year since my last purchase at Peak. I have had 3 iterations of the same shoes that I loved. I expected to just update to the latest version of the same shoes. Megan brought a pair of shoes out and the newest version was not comfortable.
I explained what I didn’t like about the newest sneaker. Megan found me two great alternatives. She then grabbed a laptop and walked me through all the color options to ensure I was happy with my purchase.

She helped me prepare the shipping labels and ensured that upon repair they would be shipped back to my house rather than be sent back to the store where I dropped them off. “We have been coming to the store for over 7 years from north west suburbs of Chicago. What I like best is that my kids get measured on the spot. So I dont have to worry about the sizing. The owner knows the measurements and fit of all the shoes in the store, which makes our shoe shopping experience a breeze.
