Harlem location and he said yes but truly he was only the call centerI told him exactly what I needed and he gave me an extra large one the manager of 22 years here at the 9800 S. Harlem location fixed my problem and instantly provided us with the correct size.”

“About 18 months ago I moved from a 1-bedroom apartment in one state to a single bedroom in a shared house in a different state. I had never seen the storage unit facility before and never used a storage unit. I did not know how big a unit I needed either, and was struggling to figure out what would be right. I was able to talk to a real person when I called Public Storage pretty quickly, and they were able to help me figure out how large a unit I needed and to set everything up so it would be ready when I moved.
I was dreading getting everything out of my U-haul and into my unit, but when I got there, there were flat carts available. No extra charge, and enough that my family and I could make several trips at once. It was incredibly easy when I got there as well, the lock and key were in my unit as I had been told they would be, all I had to do was load the unit and lock the door. I was able to access my unit whenever I needed to, and I never felt unsafe, even going alone. I had a code to enter and exit, and there was room for 2 vehicles to be side by side, even if one was a truck. The first time I accessed my unit after moving, I did not lock it completely correctly and I got a call that evening from an employee of Public Storage. I was very impressed to see how responsive they were, and that they check the facility regularly.
There was one rent increase in the 18 months I was there, but it was less than $50 more, and I was informed of the change on the app, by email, and by letter. When I was able to move into a new apartment, setting up the move out date was extremely simple. I could do it on the app, and I did not have to provide much notice. I still got an email and a phone call from a person to make sure I knew to take my lock and make sure I was out by the date I had given. The requirements when moving out are also posted on the latch of each unit. Move out was pretty smooth and I get to keep my lock.
All in all, it was a great experience. Thank you Public Storage. If I every need a unit again, I will definitely come back.”

Update:Nique is still one of the best employees that they have,a manager calls me 5 mins ago to basically verbally tell me why I keep getting an increase on rent on a place of business that doesn’t need upgrades or anything done to specific unit and mentioned market rate and competitive pricing and I simply mentioned his competitors are charging me lesser for the same unit but he definitely didn’t offer to match it if that’s the excuse we are using to keep price gouging on a standstill place that needs nothing or justifys the comp of keep raising the rent on a unit I’ve kept for years….the storage game is becoming like the insurance game…my social media outlets reach close to 100,000 followers in total combined and I wonder which one can point me to a place that isn’t gonna keep almost doubling the price on a stand still product and keeps its rates locked in,I can work the system by simply moving out and renting another unit online but who has the time to keep moving”
