Pet Care

Animal House Veterinary Hospital
356 N Randall Rd, North AuroraI can't say enough good things! They recently helped my beloved pet rabbit Maple, and the care and compassion they showed us was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, kind, and understanding. They took the time to listen to all of my concerns, even while I was nervous and emotional. What impressed me most was the genuine love and empathy they showed towards my pet. They went above and beyond to ensure Maple received the best possible care. I highly recommend Animal House to anyone looking for an exceptional and compassionate veterinarian. Thank you for all that you do! Maple is home and happy!

Randall Orchard Crossing Animal Hospital
1045 W Orchard Rd, North AuroraBrought my mini golden doodle for an ear infection. They were so quick and kind! I had my two young kids with me and our dog and they assisted me in getting everyone in the room and were so patient with us. They got us in and out with everything we needed for our pup and his ear is on the mend. Highly recommend!

Fox Valley Animal Welfare League
11 John St Ste 1611, North AuroraThis is a late but well deserved review! FVAWL has the BEST STAFF I have ever encountered anywhere! Please ignore the one bad review on this page! They have neutered a pit mix for me 6 years ago. I had received several quotes from several of the well known animal clinics in the Aurora/Oswego area. The quotes were astronomical because it was for a pit mix. A friend gave me the phone number for FVAWL. I called and received a call back regarding my dog. I asked if there was an upcharge for a pit mix. There was not!! The neuter was based on weight! The cost was so affordable! Everything went well! The cost of the neuter, shots, chip, and meds was around $200! Fast forward to the present, they have now neutered my cat in 2021 and continue to provide yearly shots for him!!
The clinic is staffed by volunteers!! Instead of complaining, lend some for your time. I will be looking into volunteering myself.

Pet Sitting & Training

Dogs 4 Life Training and Wellness
422 Princeton Dr, North AuroraChristine is amazing! She really got to know our dog and our family and the dynamics of our household. She is so caring, patient and calm. She not only taught us the skills needed to train our dog but gave us strategies and supports needed for our dog that go far beyond basic commands. We are grateful for all she has done for us as Harry is a very special part of our family. Ann Loehrke

Mr Scott's Dog Resort
319 S Lincolnway St, North AuroraIf I could give this place more stars I would. I am VERY VERY VERY picky in where I let my dog stay. I was going out of town for 10 days with my family and needed somewhere to look after my sweet but sometimes needy child. My mom found this place through a friend and I won’t ever take my dog somewhere else. First of all the price is amazing, second of all Mr. Scott made sure I had every piece of information I needed when dropping him off and even sent me photos while I was gone. He even got to pick out a toy to destroy while he was there. I may live an hour away but I will drive here every time I need someone to look after my dog. Thank you Mr. Scott and all your staff!

Bruno's Cheesesteaks
17 S Lincolnway St, North AuroraFood is excellent. Fresh, properly prepared, spot on taste, large portions. Food was what one would hope to find at a specialty diner such as Bruno’s. However, as we enjoyed our dinner at the outdoor tables, I have never found better service at a most posh restaurant. Never. Fantastic. Well done, Bruno.

Anderson Humane - North Aurora Adoption Center
180 N Randall Rd, North AuroraLast week I brought home my second Anderson kitty. I am now the proud owner of Mike (formally known as Tigger). Easy adoption process. Reasonable fees and one of the two people on staff were extremely helpful (the other just seemed a little bothered, perhaps she wasn't feeling well or something). Great experience overall! Now working on the slow process of introducing Mike to my existing Anderson rescue. I was given great handouts on tips for introducing cats and I have found those very helpful!
