But more than just the facility, it’s the people who work there that make you want to come back. They are the nicest people you’ll ever meet and they really care about dogs. I highly recommend!

465 Gundersen Drive, Carol StreamI will be taking my Newfoundland, golden and my cats to Purple Poodle from now on. They are competent in dealing with shy pets, animals large and small. My cat was very tangled and Madison did an incredible job keeping his coat. He was not stressed after visit. The appt was prompt.

Took our sweet Marley in for some odd coughing and wheezing the other day and she was diagnosed with Bronchitis/Kennel Cough. We have no idea how she got it as she was up to date on shots and is never with other dogs other than her sister. They gave her fluids, did an x-ray to make sure it was not worse than suspected and medications for home. The following day, they texted to check in on her and it was so much appreciated. We finally found our home!!! Thank you so much for being such an amazing office!!

I didn't want to leave him behind because he had a traumatic past as a puppy mill dog for 7 years before I adopted him and he was scared of everyone even the people of my family !!! I like the Carol Stream facility because of the outside kennel that each kennel has. The place is very clean and inviting. The staff is friendly and courteous and were able to calm my fears. What helped me a lot was the Furever daily report that I paid extra for but was worth the money ! The most amazing thing there is that the staff taking care of him managed to have him sit on her lap when sitting on the ground with him outside !! Don't know how she did it because he has never done it with anyone else but me. Pictures were sent every day and I knew he was in good hands. I love the place, nice nature around it and very well kept. Thank you for all the patience and caring for our animals !

399 Gundersen Dr, Carol StreamUpdate May 2026: It's been over a year now that my dog has been hanging out at Camp Ruff It. He does some doggie day care visits and he loves the slumber parties. He trusts the people who care for him here and I always feel comfortable and confident when he's here.
My dog just returned from his screening visit. What a caring and professional crew of people! My guy is super anxious and I’m looking forward to helping him learn to trust other dogs. I think this is the perfect place for him to feel comfy (eventually!) and learn to make friends.

The first thing I noticed was the huge amount of cheese they put on it! The sausage and sauce were both delicious! The crust was on the thicker side, which I didn't mind. I usually order from Legends, but these guys definitely give them a run for their money!
