“Let me start with saying that I am NOT a good shopper. I'm very short and and my attire is usually very casual, rarely dressy. And I've no sense of style. So when a situation arose that required a weeklong ensemble of more business-casual type clothes I was not looking forward to the task. Dreading it, in fact. When I walked into this store, I was immediately greeted by an incredibly friendly saleswoman. I told her what I needed and shared my inability to pick out clothes. Within minutes I had all three ladies helping choose, change out sizes, give honest opinions, and they did it all in such a friendly and fun way. There was a dressing room full of women helping and laughing with me , everyone worked together to help me feel good in what I was wearing. They showed me things I would have never thought to put together and changed my entire experience in such a positive way. Can't say enough good things about these ladies and this store. They made my day”

“If you asked me weeks ago about family dollar I’d say no way I’ll go somewhere else but recently I ran in there for pop and was amazed at how clean&different the store looked before you’d go in there’d be boxes to the ceiling,the shelves were bare customers digging thru boxes trying to find what they needed and the clothes was a disaster now I went in there about 3 days ago and OMG!!! no boxes stacked up,shelves are stocked,the clothes are neat and the store just looks cleaner I give the new employees lots of credit bc that store was a disaster and with their hard work it’s done a 360 definitely will go back??????”

“I was just at Burlington today and it was nothing and I mean nothing good on the rack or the shelf if they need to update this stuff close everything also yeah everything was just off the rack. Everything was gone. It was less people normally busy on Saturdays, but since it’s in the 90° weather summer just started now my niece went out to Machesney Park Burlington and they said they just it was nothing there as well”
“--PROS: 1) The employees are generally caring and helpful 2) Selection and variety are good 3) Automotive, electronics, pharmacy and other departments are very helpful if you get the right person 4) They have been trying hard to improve and the store has recently been bright, clean, and well stocked.
--CONS: the self-checkouts are awkward and the cashier lines are often long.
--SUMMARY:
The big draw is huge selection and competitive prices. This store is clean, bright, and usually well-stocked. This zip code has a large population and this store provides a valuable alternative to its served area. They have improved in recent years. They could make even more profit by staffing about two more cashiers.”

“Walmart on E. State St. Good groceries here. I was especially impressed with their black grapes- I bought 3 huge bags and not a bad grape in any of them. They have amazing fresh broccoli in a bag near the lettuce. I separated it into smaller bags and froze them to steam later for meals.”
