“So I needed a few things and this reminded me of the warm feels of a little mom and pop shop.I had an issue with my card, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have cash on me, only my card, and I'm sure they have a minimum on card purchases, but I needed a couple screws and washers which was like 60 cents.. he said don't worry about it... Well because of that, I just bought a bunch of snacks and pops and spent like $25 anyway with the items because that's the types of shops we should be supporting.Random selection of hot sauce also you won't find in many places, I had to buy one. It was pretty decent flavor ?Keep it up guys! A+++++”
“Alicia the chasier was amazingly helpful I came in,asked a question and she knew exactly what isles the items I needed were in. She kinda saved my bacon since I was in a rush. Very helpful and honest very glad.
As for the store itself, it's well organized and clean. I would highly suggest coming here if you need supplies. Please have a good day.”

However dozens of times I have found great deals at Retool. Top name air tools slightly used third price of new. Just about any Milwaukee or Dewalt cheaper than box stores, many NIB.
I called Dave looking for a kick bender that cost $300 new. He had same model used for $100.
A concrete grinding wheel new package 1/2 the price of store that carries it.
OMG machinist taps, Osg pennies on dollar prices.

“Idk what's up with all these 1 star reviews. I walked in made myself known. Showed the guy what part I needed. He got it, I paid for it and left. Simple easy transaction. I think some people go in unprepared with a bad attitude. Then get what what they give and can't handle it.”
“It was ok, they don't carry replacement parts for the shit in store.. can't find a good replacement part for their made stuff.. plus they won't take back broken sprayers even tho its been cleaned out, u get a card to call n it says either take back to store, or won't go past the ring tone”

“I received the best help from a gentleman named Curtis here at the Rockford menards location. Not your typical employee just pointing you in the direction of what your looking for but Curtis here went above and beyond. Walked me through my my project im working on and actually took the time to listen. When people listen as Curtis did that day thats what shows the best in people and there character.

“Shout out to Lorey Howerton. Thank you for being there that day I needed help. Came in for an exact match paint with only a few small paint chips to work with. Lorey was able to make it happen. The paint was absolutely amazing. Went on without any issues. Best part, not seeing the transition of painting area. As for Lorey's customer service.. could not ask for a nicer person to help. Took his time to help me out, without giving that impatient attitude like some do. Don't lose him Store 191 Rockford. He's a keeper.”
