Not only is Dr. Kroll knowledgeable, but very experienced and thorough. Everyone we encountered from the front desk to the multiple vet techs were very kind and organized. Our tech, Hope, was also compassionate in dealing with our dog. You can tell that the people who work there are true professionals that love animals. Highly recommend them as a primary care veterinary clinic!

Old fashioned respect for you and your pets, very good communication and follow through whenever you need anything. They have really gone above and beyond for my sweet boy, currently a cancer patient. Many calls to my home after hours by his vet, the practice owner, working tirelessly to make sure we had the best plan of action - and many hours of research and communication with other specialists on my pets behalf. You will feel like your dog or other pet is the only one they see. Amazing front desk staff as well , just really good people who care.

She unfortunately had to go on a trip during figuring out what was wrong with our well loved cat! Dr Scott and staff keep us informed and our cat comfortable till our daughter made it home and she was able to make the very hard choice of letting her go peacefully! We can't thank them enough for the help and compassion during a very difficult time!

530 Dunham Rd, St. CharlesI have to keep this short before I start bawling again but wanted to give a huge recommendation for this place as an ER because a few days ago my husband and I had that nightmare, the one every single person reading this dreads, when one of our beloved cats died very suddenly, as in one minute the cat who had not been sick at all was playing and fine and the next he'd frozen up into some kind of siezure and stopped breathing in a matter of seconds. Terrified and in shock I googled ER vet near me and thank God I got this place, calling them while running to the car with our cat. We lost him, yes, to an apparent heart attack, but the kindness and care and steadfast feeling this clinic gave us when we needed it most has won them our loyalty and I'm grateful to everyone on staff that night for taking care of us, and of Captain Larry.

I took my cat in to get her yearly vaccinations, and get checked out because she had been having some blood in her stool. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. I forget the name of the veterinarian that treated my cat, but he was incredibly kind and the medication he prescribed healed my cat promptly! I also thought everything was quite affordable and fairly priced. You can tell they truly care about your pets! My cat and I will be coming here from now on!

Brown Butter Baked Goods and Cafe
311 N 2nd St Suite 104, St. CharlesI honestly can’t say enough good things about Brown Butter Cafe. This place has been a favorite of mine since they first opened, and it continues to be one of those local spots I’m always excited to come back to.
The food is consistently amazing. The chorizo bagel sandwich is one of my go-tos, and their breakfast burrito never disappoints. And don’t even get me started on the donuts, every single one is delicious. I try almost every new flavor when they come out because they’re just that good. The banana bread and cinnamon rolls are also absolute standouts and perfect for treating yourself (or someone else).
I often come here for meetings and love the atmosphere. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and just the right balance of cozy and relaxed. What really sets this place apart, though, is the heart behind it. The owner is incredibly personable and kind, and you can truly feel the care and intention that goes into everything here.
I also love picking up treats for others from Brown Butter Cafe because I know they’ll be a nice treat every time. This is one of those local gems I’ll continue supporting and recommending to everyone. So grateful to have a place like this in the community! Whether you have a gluten free diet or not, you can be sure this place is worth the stop.

Upon entering, you are greeted by a cozy labyrinth of books, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. The creaking of the wooden floors adds a nostalgic character to the experience. The cafe staff exuded warmth and hospitality; they accommodated us even when we arrived just 3 minutes before closing time. I had an egg salad sandwich and a perfectly crafted cappuccino, which I enjoyed on the go. Wish their hours of operation is longer tho. There are more people out & about after 4pm esp on weekends.

I would guess that 100% of the 1 star reviews come from people who did zero research prior to coming and only disappointed themselves. This place does not suck, just not what you were looking for and that's YOUR fault not theirs. This place rocks and has an amazing staff who are super knowledgeable about beer, not making food !!!!

And if you get lucky enough, you just might run into Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy like I did. Just don't interrupt them they like their personal space which I gave to them and he was nice to say Thank you. I had no intentions of bothering them, just glad to see them eating at their restaurant and enjoying the moment.

300 W Main St, St. CharlesOne of my sons had a function at the Sportsplex and since we live an hour away my other son and I decided to find a place to eat while we waited. Not really familiar with the area and my son wanted cheese fries so I Googled it. We ended up at the Filling Station. Eclectic decor and good food. The cheese fries were enough for two meals. I had the steak sandwich and thought it was really good. Super nice server.
