“Loved the atmosphere. Great location with nightly cocktails with appetizers. Great breakfast with many options. Free laundry just bring soap and dryer sheets Great to get laundry done during vacation. Close to the Iowa cubs. Beds are so comfortable and staff is always helpful and friendly.”

“A very comfortable, quiet room. Very good quality TV. The bathroom was well lit, and had more than adequate room to move around. The recliner was firm and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was basic but tasty, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, a couple choices of cereal, hard boiled eggs and yogurt . I found it beneficial to go to breakfast early [between 6:30and 7 am], to beat the crowd and have a seat. The staff, from front desk to housekeeping, were friendly and helpful. This is my second stay here, the location is great for when I need to visit Des Moines.”
“Went to galaxy con des moines its our third time staying at this hotel its super convenient to the caseys center and iowa events center cheap and the service is always super quick and pleasant. Photo attached was the view from our room”
“Nice hotel, service was excellent.
Transportation to any downtown location with shuttle service, just tip driver.
Breakfast on weekend was much better than weekdays.
Reasonable price about $21 per person.
Pool, exercise on site was very nice.
Some panhandlers were slightly annoying around hotel area.
Enjoyed are week long stay, would stay here again.”

“Overall a great stay at Hyatt Place Downtown! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and an ideal location. Not a huge fan of paying for parking, but purchasing the parking option when booking made the rate much more reasonable.”

“Rooms are very well kept but they really need to replace that luggage cart as well as at least a second one.
Breakfast is decent. Sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, as well as usual waffles etc.
They do need to leave more in a cup of foam coffee cups in the room. No water glasses at all. But at least the refrigerator has a freezer compartment unlike too many other locations that do not.”
“I stayed Friday and Saturday night.
It was as-expected for the price I paid.
There are vending machines in the laundry area where there is a very good working ice machine(you may have to ask where it is, I found it by luck).
My room was very clean and everything was as it should have been... THERE WERE NO BUGS.
I would stay here again because I'm cheap .......... I didn't expect a Ritz Carlton experience.
I travel with a small fan to use in rooms which really helps.”

“Was absolutely awesome expect for the guy working that evening. He was in the office sleeping. When I tried to call out to him for help he ignored me and kept sleeping. Which happened for than once. I am honestly not sure how other nighttime guests could check in.
Everyone else was AMAZING! There was a lifeguard who was a sweetie to my daughter. ❤”

“Wonderful hotel with old world woodwork, details and decor. Beautiful lobby, etc. We stayed in corner suite. The building has a neat history before being converted to its present use. Only complaint would be we were there for only one night.”
