Customer service has been awesome every time I have gone in. The staff is friendly, helpful, and actually knows their products, which makes a big difference.

I assumed it would likely just be processed as another review and halfway addressed and then kind of ignored. I was really wrong, and this company earned a lot of respect from me today. The owner called me within 15 minutes of posting. Talked to me about the issues, apologized, offered a solution and was really personable. I haven’t experienced customer service like that like ever. I will be giving them another try because I really value honesty, and the fact that even though I was just another customer- I wasn’t treated like just another customer. I deeply appreciate you, Bob. I’ll see you guys in a few months!

It was much cheaper than anticipated, about $20 for front paws only and $25 for front and back. The groomer did a wonderful job with my kitty, I couldn't hear any sort of protesting from my cat throughout the experience. It was also surprisingly quick! It only took about ten minutes, and I spent that time browsing for gourmet cat treats!

The Vet is awesome. We had two cats pass away within 2 weeks. They were 16 & 17. The Vet provides a calming atmosphere that helped us during an emotional time.
I wouldn't go anywhere else. Complete trust with Highland Park Animal Hospital.

Lacey was rescued from an abusive home which makes her a challenging pup to treat, but they are so great and patient with her and I can already see the differences the home exercises are making for her. We have a long path ahead of us but Pawsitive Strides is helping making her treatment plan and cost manageable for a single dog mom with a mortgage!

My senior dog was going through some health struggles, and other vets weren't informing me or coming up with solutions. Dr. Jaden immediately explained everything to me and came up with a completely different strategy that absolutely helped my dog. When it was my dogs time, the entire office was so kind and helpful, and again Dr. Jaden explained the entire process to me. Now, I bring my puppy here and have seen both Dr. Jaden and Dr. Chris and the level of care is the of highest standard. The ladies up front, the techs, and doctors are all amazing. I will never take my pets anywhere else!

He’s so thorough and truly understands dog behavior. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

Aaron, was lovely and our little Chi mix and him are now buddies. 5278 Northeast 14th Street, Des MoinesI was SO nervous looking for boarding. I had a tight budget but also wanted the absolute best care for my puppy. He’s a little older and has some joint and circulation problems. 4Paws Unleashed couldn’t have done a better job. Even if you opt out of any upgrades (extra walks or treats) your pup will get plenty of love and attention. (I was told they take them out to potty 5 times a day or more, and also regularly give out treats as baseline care) I saw how each employee was with each other, with the dogs coming and going, with the clients and you really can feel the love inside the building. The owner is regularly in there, which is why I’m sure the love radiates so hard in there! Prices were great and fair, I could even afford the upgrades (extra walks every day and a nail trim). For a full seven days & seven nights WITH upgrades, I paid about $400.
I wanted to see how my puppy would like it before booking a whole week. I came in thinking I was going to pay for a night of boarding, but they gave me a free full day of daycare as a trial run. They have cameras in the doggie daycare rooms which really helped give me peace of mind. You can see the employees regularly cleaning the walls & floors & loving on all the dogs. I even caught a moment where my dog was given some special attention for his mobility issues & I couldn’t have been more appreciative!!
I think the nice lady working the counter could sense my anxiety about the whole thing, because she offered to give me a tour of the building. Where the kennels are I was expecting smelly chaos. But instead what I saw was all the dogs calm & quiet in their kennels. idk how they do it but there was no overwhelming dog smell either.
After the week, my Morty came home smelling clean & with SO much energy. He was moving around as if he was a young pup & I am just overall so grateful for the very obvious amount of love they gave him.
I’m bringing Morty back for daycare just because. I want him to have that kind of extra love in his life regularly. Thank you guy SO much!!

The atmosphere was fun, with references and jokes throughout which was fun.
Although in the bathroom, the changing table was poorly lit, I had someone hold a light for me so I could change my kids diaper. It was pretty dark in there.

From the moment we sat down, the service was outstanding — attentive without hovering, the kind of staff that actually seems to enjoy their job. Five out of five, no notes.
We started with the Farmers Cheese appetizer, and I'll be honest, I almost skipped it because it sounded too simple to be exciting. That was a mistake I won't make again. It was ridiculously good — rich, creamy, perfectly balanced, the kind of dish that makes you slow down and actually savor a bite instead of just eating. My wife and I both went quiet for a second just to appreciate it.
Our entrees kept that same energy going. Both dishes were cooked with real care and hit every note they were supposed to — nothing overdone, nothing under-seasoned, just confident, well-executed food. It's clear the kitchen knows exactly what it's doing and isn't cutting corners.
Des Moines has a growing food scene, and Proudfoot and Bird is proof of it. This isn't a place riding on hype or a trendy concept — it's genuinely great food backed up by great service. We walked out full, happy, and already planning our next visit.
We were staying in the Hotel Fort Des Moines already, so this was an easy pick.
If you're in the Des Moines area and haven't been yet, stop putting it off. This one's worth the trip.

1. Dogs are dogs and it is their place to be as well so if obviously if you get drooled on or a dog sits next to you, you shouldn’t get mad. It’s a dog park.
2. The owners, dog park attendants, bartenders, front desk, and everyone else helping is amazing and they really care about people and their pets. The park manager and employees are ALL amazing and observant.
3. The djs are amazing, they have fun game nights, prizes, a dog store, and really good deals!!!!!
4. I know I’ve said the dog park attendees are very observant but I believe their attentiveness should be called out again. They are not mean to pick up our dogs poop yet they still do when people choose not to. They are always on alert and are trained to break up fights and understand how dogs move. They help dogs grow and learn to communicate with eachother but step in when needed.
5. They also have many other services and host many events!
I could go on and on but overall, paws and pints is an amazing place to go relax, have a good time, and let your pup have fun/run while also being safe and in good hands!
All dogs have all immunizations! I know that cause they aren’t allowed in otherwise:)
