Customer service has been awesome every time I have gone in. The staff is friendly, helpful, and actually knows their products, which makes a big difference.
If you want high quality options for your dog and a better overall experience, this is the place to go.

I used Authority dog food (pet smart brand) for my two dogs however when I would ask questions they never had all the information. I recently was using the pet wash with my wife and two dogs and as we were leaving I approached the manager Nick and asked about some good food and brands to use with different allergies that my dogs had. He suggested Redford as they have different ingredients and are made in small batches. We swapped about a week ago and our dogs absolutely love it!
In regards to the pet wash itself, the pet wash is always clean and I love to get the dirty dog discount card to save even more money on my pet washes.
The store is generally clean and organized in a way that makes it easy for my wife and I to find anything we need. They have a great selection of treats and toy and my boys especially love their freeze dried treats.
The staff is always welcoming my wife and I when we enter and when we leave the store and are extreamly friendly and helpful when we are in the store and needing advice or assistance.
To wrap up I must say I enjoy this store a lot and always love to bring our dogs in to get some well deserved time outside of the house.

It was much cheaper than anticipated, about $20 for front paws only and $25 for front and back. The groomer did a wonderful job with my kitty, I couldn't hear any sort of protesting from my cat throughout the experience. It was also surprisingly quick! It only took about ten minutes, and I spent that time browsing for gourmet cat treats!

2801 Westover Blvd, Des MoinesI cannot say enough incredible things about Wil-a-Lo Kennel. During one of the most critical and emotional times after my dog Rocky was diagnosed with IVDD, they stepped in without hesitation and truly went above and beyond.
The owner and his wife (who is a vet) are absolutely amazing. Their knowledge, compassion, and genuine care made all the difference when I was feeling overwhelmed and scared navigating Rocky’s diagnosis. You can tell they treat every dog like their own.
I also want to give a special thank you to the sweet woman who sent me daily photos of Rocky. Those updates meant more than I can even put into word! They brought me comfort and peace of mind every single day knowing he was safe, loved, and being so well cared for.
The environment itself is so special! It has such a homey, comforting feel with roosters, chickens, and other animals around. It didn’t feel like a typical kennel at all, but more like a place where animals are truly loved and at home.
This isn’t just a kennel, it’s a place filled with people who truly care. I will forever be grateful for how they cared for Rocky during such a scary time. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you again so much!

They're also very dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your furry friend along. There's plenty of seating out front, as well as a cozy area in the back with several porch swings where you can relax and enjoy your ice cream.
The prices are very reasonable. Even though they only have one location, we find ourselves driving across town just to visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a great place to treat yourself!

Grilled lemon caper ceasar was fresh and a tasty twist on a classic if not just slightly overdressed. Grilled bison sirloin was sensational. Try it. Blood orange olive oil cake was the best part of the meal aside from the bison. I've always wanted to try olive oil cake and this one did not disappoint. Every part of the meal was flavorful and cooked well. If I'm being super picky, my only criticisms are that some dressing and seasoning were just slightly heavy handed, but not in a way that affected my enjoyment of the meal. An excellent experience, overall. Would recommend. Also, the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Can't say enough about the attentiveness, promptness, and friendliness of my server and bussers, and without it ever feeling like I was being rushed or crowded.
