“They often have some great finds from really high quality brands. I like going here to find new treasures. My only negative is that they don’t have as many options in the smaller sizes so there are fewer items for me to choose from. Other than that, they are great.”

Look for the deals and if you have an account there, you can earn coupons and get notified of all great deals.”

“I generally do not write reviews, however I wanted to give a shout out to the young lady that helped me at Torrid Oak Park Mall last night. Her name is Mikayla (I hope I’m spelling it right), she walked around and talked with me and helped me pick out clothes for about an hour. I went in there without a clue what I wanted and after talking for a brief time she was already suggesting items to me, some of which I already owned, so it showed she really has a knack for matching clothes with personalities! She was so sweet and personable, so what you can to keep her around! I hope she’s there when I go back. Tell her the “fun theater teacher/mrs frizzle vibes” lady appreciates her!! :)”
“I've never had such a pleasant and judgement-free experience buying a bra. I'm a plus sized woman and both employees treated me with kindness and respect. They helped me find exactly what I needed. The bra I got is EXCELLENT quality and fits perfectly. I WILL be returning because I was glad to see so many plus sized options at weren't insultingly bland or ugly. They will also size you for free. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced while shopping for clothing. Truly such sweet ladies, I felt completely taken care of.”

“I've always enjoyed shopping at JCPenney's. The employees are respectful, professional, and very helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. The clothing is good quality and not too overpriced. The sales are spectacular especially during Christmas! “They had a pretty good selection of clothes. The prices were ok and they had some sales going on which seems to be the norm. We weren't bothered as we browsed around the store either. Sometimes when your at a place in the mall the sales people are on you like a hawk, but not this place. They just left us alone until we had a question. When we did have a question about the product they were quick to respond with the best of answers. They seemed very friendly and knowledgeable about the products that they were carrying. I still think that this place is one of the most popular places to go for this kind of shopping. I can honestly say that you won't be dissatisfied with your own trip to this location. We now have added this place to our own little list of must visit shops.”

“I love this indoor mall! Indoor malls are struggling to stay alive which I don't know why because seriously the convenience of indoor malls are awesome! They even have like car buggies you can rent for your little to ride in and somewhere to put your bags. That is the one thing that has always sucked about a shopping mall is carrying all your crap around and not just running to your car to drop them off cause you parked on the other side. But they fixed that! Shoot even if I didn't have a little I'd still roll that buggy! I love that it has a Nordys, a Barnes & Noble, Disney Store, and so many other great stores. It's not like some malls that are struggling so bad that they will rent out to anyone. So the store is bare and has a sheet up for their back room and the items are straight off the shelves of a sweatshop. I hope they can continue to maintain. I do know Black Friday was hopping this past year. That's always a good sign!”

Altar’d State is one of my favorite places to shop—the store is always beautifully decorated, peaceful, and full of inspiring pieces. “I love coming to this place and all the stuff is cute, however, it is starting to become apparent that sellers are using their “small business” title to sell things that they bought from large multibillion dollar companies for a very low price, and they put a price that would be about 10x the price than what they bought it for. There are a lot of great sellers with handmade products, but something that’s began to push it over the edge are some of the sellers selling “lafufus”. It’s starting to feel like going to the mall with all those cheap little toys that they charge you extra for. This place used to be a five stars for me, but recently, it’s been going downhill. I would still recommend it, but just keep an eye out for things you could probably get elsewhere for a better price, unless it is a handmade custom product by the seller. Other than that, this place is magical around Christmas time and there ARE sellers that have amazing products.”
