“Super quick, affordable, and knowledgeable. I brought in a Subaru that had a pesky scraping sound I couldn't get rid of. The guys at Cumberland looked at it, tried some fixes, and charged me a fair price. When the problem persisted, they told me to bring it back, rode with me to hear where the noise came from, and fixed it again within a few hours, this time getting the noise to almost zero. Never charged me for the second visit and gave me good advice about long term fixes my car might need and how to mitigate problems in the short term. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to garage!”

“Replaced my brakes the same day with no 1 day notice. Wasn’t mad that I had to bail on my first appointment. Honest with price falling on the lower side of the estimates/quotes I got online. Showed me the old pads/rotors and explained the issue. What more could you ask for. In short, an honest mechanic! ??”

“Drove down to Maine for a roadtrip and on my last day my car decided to spit out some codes and had trouble starting.
Quickly searched for a shop and saw these guys pop up. I chose them because i saw they specialized in Honda and I drive a civic si.
April mentioned, when I called, that she didn't have space for me however still let me take it in so they could at the very least diagnose my issue. Long story short, I had a couple of electrical issues that had caused my battery to wear prematurely which in turn gave me codes. We changed the battery, tightened up the terminals, changed the starter relay and everything went smooth from there. A simple fix yet without the time they took to diagnose properly, I'd have been either stuck on the road somewhere or still guessing what the root issue had been. Also, April gave me the option to come see her after hours to get it inspected and due to circumstances, I could only come in the next day, to which she and her team took the time to accommodate for me.
And one last thing, I don't know if this is pure coincidence or if things just somehow got put into place, but I feel as though they had tightened up some loose nuts or replaced some bushings on my suspension system, I had a clunking noise i thought i had fixed before coming down to Maine, and is now completely gone. even if they didn't do that and maybe i'm just imagining things, they were super attentive and made sure I was safe to drive back! Definitely a great place to get your servicing especially if you're not from the area and need an emergency fix from very friendly and caring people
P.S. they had even picked my gf and I up from where we were waiting, which was not necessary but a huge indicator to me at how cool these guys are!

“A few weeks ago, I drove from CT to Portland to visit my daughter. Upon arriving, I noticed some smoke coming from under the hood of my car and smelled radiator fluid. I quickly researched radiator repair service centers and, based on its great reviews, called Portland Auto Radiator. I spoke with Paul, who told me to bring the car right in and he would take a look at it. Sure enough, when I arrived, he stopped what he was doing to look at the radiator. Alas, he informed me that there didn't seem to be a problem and that my most recent radiator flush might have left some residue fluid in a well, which was emitted due to the driving rain storm I had just passed through. Sure enough, I had no further problems with it. I was extremely impressed (and relieved!) that Paul gave me his prompt and honest opinion about the radiator. I have since passed his name along to everyone I know in Portland, including my daughter. If you value honesty and good service, as I do, I highly recommend Portland Auto Radiator Co. for your automotive needs!”
“At 56 years old I've had many cars and both good and bad mechanics. Joseph and his team were great! I live in PA and bought a used truck in ME. I bought used running boards, a bed cover (both of which were wrong size). Joseph made them both work. The tailgate would not open, he fixed that but told me the lock was not working. I said don't worry, I won't need the lock. When I picked it up it was fixed. They even stayed open late on a Friday to finish all of the work. Can't recommend him enough!”
