“We got some dinner here and had a fantastic time. Glad to see how they revitalized the building. Valet is extremely reasonably priced, especially with validated parking. I had one of the best cocktails I've had in a long time here. The only downside: it is 5-star, which means expensive; it can't be a guarantee you'll end up getting your money's worth since it sets such a high bar. The food was very good when it was good, although when it would miss it felt more disappointing. We'll have to come back for a stay in the rooms to give this a more fair review, though.”

“Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and convenient for the downtown Baltimore area. Rooms were a little small but not a deal breaker for me. They also validate parking bc its paid parking only.”
“Best stay of my whole life. Beautiful hotel. I had a 16th floor room with view of harbor. It was the most wonderful space. My only complaint is I could hear everyone who got off the elevator and went down the hall. I attended a conference here and the whole facility is wonderful.”

“We came into town for a conference, this was a perfect hotel. it was about a 15 minute walk to the conference center. the room we had was HUGE, beautiful and quiet. Tuesday and Wednesday evening they had a social hour where they had warm and cold food available for free. the breakfast buffet was wonderful with something for everyone. The coffee was bold and delicious and available all day long. The staff were wonderful. So Pleasant and helpful with suggestions for dinner locations. The entire hotel is gorgeous , tall ceilings, beautiful woodworking, and cast iron railings. The Pictures on the wall gave a lot of information on the history of the building and the city. Located in an area where i would recommend making sure if you are walking you are inside at night but other than that, the hotel itself is Wonderful and would be my first choice if i return to Baltimore in the Future.”

“Incredibly beautiful hotel, I almost wish I had stayed longer just to enjoy how pretty it was. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small issue with my booking; the system somehow double booked me, under two different discount codes. The lovely woman at the front desk was very efficient at clearing it all up getting me situated while also being very nice and joking around. The manager came over just to check on things and was also great to talk to. Valet parking was very easy, and the attendants were great. Went to the café downstairs, food was pretty pricey, but for the area it isn’t bad, and the portions are *more* than generous.
Literally a block away from CFG arena. The room wasn't very expensive compared to others, and I likely saved even more just by not needing to take an uber. I was here for a kpop concert, as were many other guests, as well as a lot of military people were staying. So a very loud gathering of people on top of being in downtown Baltimore. However, my room was very peaceful, no excess noise spilling in.
There is certainly some wear and tear in the rooms, like other reviews have stated, but nothing to detract from the stay at all, just what one can expect from a historic site.”
“Location: The location is great if you are visiting the harbor or the baltimore convention center. It is connected by skybridge to both so you can avoid walking on the roads at night
Service: The hotel was very accomodating for me. I asked for a couple of changes and they were able to do it. Its also a large hotel and staff is very pleasant. There was housekeeping everyday so that was great as well.
Room: Room is standard size. My first room has great AC but the AC was a bit wonky in the second room but it was not a great problem.”

“Within walking distance from the harbor, and attractions there.
Nearby activities: Inner harbor across from this property.
Walkability: Can walk to other spots around the harbor.”
“The staff was great. Our mom was not feeling well from the drive when we got there. Ms. Noel changed our room closer to the elevator so she would not have to walk as far. Derrick even went as far as loading our luggage into the car. Top notch place to stay.
Rooms: Very nice
Nearby activities: Aquarium was nice
Walkability: Lots of nice areas to walk.
Food and drinks: Within walking distance
Noteworthy details: Overall great experience”

“Beautiful hotel with great valet service and very clean rooms. Is it a bit dated? Yes. But that actually gives it some charm. I’m already planning my next stay!

“What can I say, a truly unique historic inn. excellent location, I recommend parking behind it if you are by car. Room not exactly clean in terms of linen, check carefully first. For the rest, friendly and smiling staff. The breakfast (5th floor) included is very simple, but it's there. Noteworthy is the terrace on the 5th floor, you exit from the breakfast room, very beautiful view.”
“My Mom and I went to the hotels restaurant for dinner and on our way out I wanted to check out the hotel. We were greeted by the head of security Chris, who was absolutely delightful. He ended up taking us on a tour of the hotel which is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I studied Interior Design at UM and the attention to detail that was put into the refurbishment, while integrating original materials/architecture with modern pieces was EXQUISITE! We ran into some of the other staff on property who were kind and welcoming and I will absolutely be spending my next staycation at this hotel... Side-note the restaurant was FANTASTIC as well!”
“I enjoyed my stay here and checking in was a breeze. Very pleasant employees

“I come here often when my vegan brother visits.
They have numerous choices and I am never disappointed with whatever I choice.
I also suggest to try a cake. They have several choices
Comfortable restaurant — great food”
“Here for a work conference. Didn't stay the night. Beautiful grounds and fun pathways to explore on breaks. The food here has been variable in the 15+ years I have been attending conferences here but it's at an upswing now. The individual packed breakfast and lunch was very good and healthy.”

“The room was clean, the lady at the checkout was nice. Even the man at check in was very nice. He informed me that my room wasn't ready because they were short on staff. I waited maybe 5 minutes before my room was ready. My only issue was the noise outside. Other than that I enjoyed my stay”

“I'm not entirely sure why this hotel has such low reviews. The rooms are very clean, stocked before you check in, and the front desk staff are very accommodating. I've Stayed at Hilton, LA Quinta, Redroof, etc. While the customer service level changes depending on where you stay- the customer service level here was phenomenal. Checking in was easy. I think this hotel gets a bad rep, because it's one of the ones you open the door to the street, but it's a very nice, comfortable feeling hotel. Not a lot of foot traffic, which is wild for the price point, but you can tell they've spent time and effort into not only the remodeling, but the cleanliness. As a budget model, I am very impressed. This review may change as I've only just checked in, but I don't foresee that happening. The only thing that I would change, and this is a first world problem, would be to add USBs somewhere. That's negligible.
Edited: This is my second night out of three and I'm still impressed. I'm sorry- you can want to save money and that's great. I want to, too. Thus is a budget motel that goes above an beyond. You don't get to spend $48 a night and then complain when these guys who have to deal with over 300 rooms not wait on you hand and foot. If you'd like towels just.. go to the office and ask nicely? It's free. It costs nothing to be nice. Red Roof is right next door and I would never.”

“This isn’t a holiday inn any longer. It is a homeless shelter for men. It’s called the times organization and it is a absolutely wonderful place to get your life in order. They provide you with resources to get you permanently off the streets and into a forever home. This is the Mayors innovative and it is absolutely working one little bit at a time. Thank you BALTIMORE CITY for showing that you care about your homeless population”
