“I had the pleasure of speaking with Jim Jackson, a lending advisor. Jim was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t know much about loans but he was extremely patient and explained the different types of loans I could get to consolidate debt. I was on the phone with him for roughly 40 to 45 minutes and I never felt rushed and he made sure I understood exactly what I was looking for. His service was incredible. I had just come off a phone call for the same reason with Navy Federal credit Union and the woman I spoke to was not knowledgeable whatsoever. there were long, awkward pauses, and she never gave me advice regarding how to go about tackling my debt. I had basic questions and she kept telling me to hold… to the point I got annoyed and told her I would google it myself! The service was literally night and day. This is fair and I greatly appreciated the notice so I could avoid the fee. They could have quietly started charging fees but they went above and beyond by sending me a notice.

We had some complicated banking issues to resolve concerning my 93-year old mother's accounts and Fernanda Assurian and Giuliana Fortini could not have been kinder or more helpful. “Saturday 09, 2025, I stopped at the local branch located on Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg, MD to see Mr. Casique for him to assist me with getting my business credit card account unlocked. Mr. Casique had helped me on a previous occasion, and I knew his ability and eagerness to resolve my problem was paramount. I was looking for such enthusiasm again this time.

The last time I logged onto my online account was less than 30 days ago. I had no issues and was able to navigate freely and perform the task I needed. However, this time the logon screen was now asking for my social security number and other personal identifying information that was very suspicious to me, not allowing me to proceed any further.

When I arrived at the branch, I noticed Mr. Casique was working behind the counter and was busy with other customers, so I waited for the next available assistant.

That’s when I met Steve who approached me with a warm welcome and invited me into his cubicle. After explaining my issue, Frank stepped out several times seeking assistance from his manager. Afterwards, he was able to unlock the account. I am still unsure as to why this occurred nor was I offered an explanation as to the possible cause.

While there, I also wanted to update my account name to reflect a legal name change and to match the name on the credit card. Once again Steve had to step out to seek assistance but this time the initial individual he spoke with was not there, so he spoke with Ms. Erica. Shortly thereafter, she stepped into his cubicle. She introduced herself and stated she was a manager at the branch.

After explaining what I would like to get done, for some reason there was an extreme failure in communication. After repeating myself numerous times, the response I kept getting was the ONLY way to do an account name change, I would have to close out my existing account and reopen a new one and apply for a new credit card. I then asked if I do so, would I be able to continue the use of my current card. Her response, “That’s a very good question” and was not for certain if I would be able to use it or apply for a new card.

I left feeling very frustrated in the fact I had to constantly explain myself and for not receiving such help in getting something as basic as getting my account information updated.

By that time, Mr. Casique was finished and he saw my defeated facial expression as I was walking out. He politely asked if there was anything he could do. He immediately walked me into his cubicle where I again explained the situation. With a firm handshake he said I am here to help you. The first thing he did was to take the initiative to call the business help line. They were able to explain the steps needed to update my account information that did not include closing the existing account and opening a new one.
Without Mr. Casique’s diligence in his attempt at resolving my problem, it could have resulted in me listening to a manager who told me the only way to get this taken care of was to open a new account

I felt this correspondence was desperately needed to bring attention to professionalism, including expressing my sincere gratitude in saying thank you to Mr. Casique and the branch should employ more individuals who demonstrate a sheer willingness to resolve customers’ needs.”
