“This place is absolutely the best Balkan food over any of them in the DMV area. I am highly recommending it to anyone to try even if you aren’t close it is 100% worth wild taking a trip to try it. I promise you. You will not be disappointed of that I am 100% sure. ? Everything is made from the scratch and delicious the homemade Lepinje (bread is freshly baked bread/bun) it tastes heavenly and healthy!! Can wait to read your experiences and review.”
“There are only a few shops in the DMV that offer a diverse array of European products, baked goods, delicious meats, and quality service from knowledge staff; European Delight has them all. Every visit, we discover something new worth bringing home. I highly recommend them!”
“Love this store for “special” purchases. Please bring back the seasonal phyllo crackers with cranberries, sunflower seeds and honey! I would eat these everyday if available!!!!!!”
“We chanced upon this store while visiting someone in the area. It was Sunday just before lunch but this store was hopping busy. We were lucky to find a parking spot because there were a number of cars coming into the lot. It is a small store compared to the ones in Houston but it is every bit as good. They had a large variety of items. We were looking for flowers and a small cake. They had a good selection of fresh flowers. We were looking for a small cake for someone’s birthday. They didn’t have any so we bought a Banana Walnut bread which was yummy according to the recipient. This was a quick stop for us but it gave us a good glimpse of the store. We interacted with a couple of employees who were very helpful and cordial.”
“Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store. Its staff are always available to help you find what you are looking for, and none of the food items it sells contain high fructose corn syrup. The store stocks many unique foods that are easy to heat up and enjoy.”

“The staff are this location is REALLY friendly and helpful. Typically, when the weather is nice, I go to the Sunday Bethesda Farmer's Market first and then walk 5 minutes to The Organic Butcher. Weekends, of course, are busier, but the wait is never long, and it's nice to look at all the specialty products.
If you're into hot sauce, they make in-house a really nice fermented hot sauce - follow them on social media so you know when the next batch drops.”
“First time there, Raymond from the wine section was tremendously helpful, i had a ton of stuff to bring to the car and he went out of his way to help me out. Much appreciated.”
“Gourmet, organic, unusual and delicious food. Beer and wine, too. This is a gem in our neighborhood. Pro tip: try cultured, salted butter, but beware, you may never want normal butter again. The hot food bar and salad bar are great but the cold sandwiches and premade salads are amazing, too. Lunch, groceries, fine cheese for a party, a quick hot meal, excellent breads, are all at Roots. Also all the expected grocery items and health products. Yes I am a big fan.”
“Very good quality neighborhood grocery store. There are very good quality products there. It also offers products from other continents.
Recommended even a year after my first visit.”
“The jumbo shrimp $8.99/lb deal is such a treat! And the shell-on is great, because you can make a court bullion shell stock and poach them in it, like I did. A dab of spicy cocktail sauce ?Delicious. The Jailbreak IPA deal made it perfect”
“Great, clean, well-stocked store for Turkish/Balkan foods. Nice collection of good brands with better prices than Yekta. The owner, Mino, is very helpful and does not hesitate to give an honest opinion of his merchandise if you don’t know which brand to buy.”
“We usually go to the store for international grocery items, but had never had takeout from them before. Today we tried their takeout and it was amazing. The quality and quantity of the Koobideh and stews are great, amazing value! They also really know what they’re doing and package the food professionally to minimize spillage. The entrees come with sides such as yogurt and pickles that elevate the food. They also have variety of Tahdig (crispy rice) options and are very generous with those :) Overall I cannot recommend this place highly enough!”
“My go-to ethnic store in the area! Always great food and super helpful staff. On busy days when I don’t have time to cook for my baby, I can always rely on their delicious fish kotletas, plov, or grilled beef tongue. I especially love the kolbasa tarelochka—it’s like a fun little gift, beautifully presented with a surprise inside! Thank you for feeding us all these years!”

“The market is incredible. It’s been incredibly difficult to find Asian grocery stores in DC. This is not only one of the best grocery stores I’ve been to, but it is so well curated. There was a beautiful selection of tableware. Amazing staff with a great diverse knowledge of the products. The gentleman at the cash register was particularly helpful. I hope Rice Market continues its incredible business.”
“If you don’t know about this dynamic duo that is back for the fall/winter season at Trader Joe’s, you ARE missing OUT!! If you like a luxurious cheese spread hide these cause you will not want to share. Don’t say I never shared with you?”
“Very well stocked, pretty good prices and fun TJ products, no surprise that it can get crowded. Lovely staff, especially if you are shopping with young kids - really appreciate it! Update: while there are many delicious pumpkin spice treats, TJ's Chardonnay is NOT one of them ?”
“What a lovely neighborhood store! Got a great and simple sandwich on my way across town and enjoyed the friendly staff and the local artists' works on display.”
“I like trader Joe's. I'll keep shopping there the employees were very friendly. They told me if I didn't like something like return it, that was cool.”
“When I've asked for a specific type of supplement, the girls in the supplement area were very friendly, helpful, and took me straight to the supplement I wanted. Has a nice atmosphere to me.”
“My wife of 15 years being from Thailand needs products from her region sometimes not necessarily from Thailand. We have been customers for years after Thai Market closed in downtown Silver Spring. Always friendly and generally have the spices and condiments she likes to maintain.”
“The customer service here rocks!! Everyone is so attentive, helpful and knowledgeable - it's like they live and breathe Mom's mission, which doesn't happen often in a grocery store chain. Their product is always stocked, and organized. I never leave without anything I needed. 5 stars for Mom's on NY Ave!”
“The produce section only looks small. Almost always can get everything I need in one grocery run. Also prices are more than competitive with national brands sometimes being lower cost at MOM's”
“Awesome neighborhood corner store. I grew up in the area and have been impressed with how the store has grown over the years. It really has become a part of the community.”
“Smaller than many other TJ's so the inventory choices are less. However, the prices are so much lower than ALL the other grocery stores. Love their GF bagels and breads.”
“This Whole Foods upholds its reputation of being clean, with great produce, and friendly service. Plenty of parking in the garage. Some products I don't see at other Whole Foods locations is a plus.
Still some things I didn't find. I was looking for Injera chips, fresh spearmint, and a bunch of beets. None of this was available which was disappointing since I usually pick those items up at the Riverdale, MD location. Nonetheless, I found everything else and enjoyed my trip overall.”
“They have good products with fair prices! Specially the dairy products and most of their products are organic and not expensive. If you want to buy meat, this is not the place to go.”

“My first visit to this location it was pretty busy on a Saturday and afternoon parking was tight. The hot foods dining area was pretty small. They seem to offer like eight different types of soup. They had some premade dishes and dishes available. I picked up a couple onigiri, marinated eggs, seaweed salad, and some pickled ginger.
Tons of options of miso and kimchi, noodles, dumplings, ramen, galore. I picked up a few kinds of kelp, some wakeme and some kombu.
All of the fresh fruits and vegetables were really impressive. They had tons of different types of mushrooms and it was pretty cool to see some variety packs available.
Lots of fresh durian, even small already cut and prepped.
The meat and seafood areas were impressive as well.”
“I have heard of this place but this is the first time I have visited the place. It's a bustling market for Indian and other South Asian food, provisions and fresh vegetables and fruits. They also sell non-food essentials. Prices are reasonable. I love the fresh fruit section where I got some fresh "Punjabi" samosas that were delicious. The sell 4 to 5 different types of samosas plus puffs and Indian bread (rotis) are freshly made here.
It's worth a visit and seems well run with great service and reasonable prices.”
“Stopped in to purchase ground beef and was pleased with the selection of other offerings from overseas. Special thanks for the staff carrying my case of Vimto to my car!”
