“I changed this from one start to four stars because I finally met the assistant manager, Nick. He put me into a good, clean car that was up to what you would expect from a reputable car rental company. Thank you, Nick!

And this place is definitely understaffed. I’m sure that’s why I had the problems I had in the first place. They really need more people there. It’s a bustling business. I guess the owners are just greedy and don’t want to hire someone because of their bottom line. Nick gets five stars, the owners of this place get one star.

My previous review:
This location is understaffed. And they don’t maintain their vehicles. I was originally given a jeep compass, but it did not have a spare tire. I asked them several times to give me a spare tire, they refused, saying it was up to Mr. tire and they had no control over it. So instead, they put me into a Toyota RAV, which is a piece of junk. There is literally a whole torn into the carpet in the driver side between the brake and gas pedals. You can see the Styrofoam padding. It’s a good 6 inches across.

It also sounds like something is wrong with the muffler and it stinks of cheap air freshener. I have to drive with the windows open. I hate this car.

As the response to this review suggested, I called the Customer service line. Somebody answered the phone and took note of my concerns. They said a district manager would call me back soon. Still waiting.”

“4 July I was stranded in BWI and could only get to CLT via RDU. I went to National Car Rental RDU from the terminal and met two of the MOST AMAZING gentlemen- DEVON and QUAN!
Devon took great care of me and moved mountains to make sure aI could get to CLT and back to RDU for my flight the next day. Devon is kind very patient knowledgeable and caring. The facility is well run and uber efficient. The entire staff appears very friendly with customers and each other. Everyone worked seamlessly together to get the cars assigned and customers on their way. This National location is a BEST KEPT SECRET. I believe Devon’s way with people is a main reason the staff is cohesive helpful and happy. Devon didn’t hesitate to jump in and help wherever his staff needed his assistance to maintain a positive environment. Devon thank you!! I’ll NEVER FORGET what you did for me!
Quan is a quiet friendly gentle soul who helped me to remain calm and assured with his quick wit friendly smile and BIG ❤! Quan I KNOW WHAT YOU DID AS WELL and will be back to thank you in person!!! This is an amazing location with great service as their cornerstone! Beautiful cars and SUVs to choose. I rented a 2026 Honda Accord that sailed down the highway smoothly and quickly! Devon and his team made the end of my 4th of July pleasantly perfect.”

“The car was great, the service was great, but the most important part was after we dropped the car off and went to the airport, I realized that I had left my prescription sunglasses in the car.

I had to take the shuttle back to Alamo, and Emily and Terrence went above and beyond, during a busy time, to dig through the lost and found. I explained that we were going to the beach for 2 weeks the next day and, again, they were prescription glasses.

They both deserve kudos, raises, and promotions. They didn't make me feel like an idiot for something stupid that was my fault, helped me beyond what was required, and we were able to get back to the airport in plenty of time to catch our flight.

They were professional, empathetic and friendly. I cannot say enough good things.

“The owner picked me up near BWI and I had my car about fifteen minutes later. I saved a lot of money over renting at the airport location (which requires a shuttle ride from and to the airport) and the vehicle was entirely satisfactory. Plan on using Uber/Lyft/a taxi to get back to BWI; I used MTA and it takes half an hour to walk to the bus stop, sometimes in a busy road. I highly recommend Easy Car Rental.”

“I rented a vehicle for a week starting on a Sunday. Other rental companies were not open. John handled my reservation and check out. He is pleasant and thorough. He also handled my check in and drove me home. A very pleasant experience. The Nissan Rogue was a great ride with so many new features since my last rental 5 years ago.”

“I want to start off by saying that I did read everyone else's comments until after I already rented the car, and I'm not really sure what all the negativity is about. Well, maybe some of it I get, but not all of it! Here is the biggest thing about them that I will say that was a turn-off for me, specifically the price of the cars. The car was overpriced, and it definitely had some issues while driving with certain check engine lights and things being on, but honestly, it was just the price. When I went to pick up the car they had the car available and clean and ready for me to take it yes I did have to get my own insurance yes it does have to be full coverage to rent the car but all I had to do was call my insurance company and they did all the work for me I didn't have to do anything else they told my insurance company which car I would be using and for how long I would be using it. They made sure that I got what I asked for and even though I did not send a deposit beforehand because I was looking for a basic small vehicle I guess I was lucky that there was one there but they did inform me that without a deposit it was first come first serve and if I got there and there was no car it was on me. My experience was not as harsh obviously as everyone else's and we all have to take our time and experience things for ourselves for me personally I did not have an issue with any of the things that was going on with my rental and how everything was set up and done other than the fact that the car was so expensive the rental itself is expensive everyday but I understand the deposit I understand the insurance and all the other things are not an issue. If you have an emergency and you really need a car, then this place is fine as long as you have the money to pay for it it's great. If you can get your insurance together and rent a car from them, then you don't have anything to worry about. If you have other issues going on, you are going to have to go someplace else it just is what it is. I hope that this helps in some way. Good luck renting your car, be it here or anywhere else, and I commend you on doing your research and reading all the comments and making your own decision!”

“My family has rented vehicles from this Avis/Budget car rental location in Glen Burnie MD multiple times for moving truck rentals as well as car rentals.
This office has a family atmosphere with a small staff, who are courteous, professional and friendly. As a senior, this is important to me. On a recent visit, their computers were down during a busy time. The Assistant Manager, Tedi Tessema continued to assist each person as quickly as possible, having to complete some actions manually and over the phone. He never got rattled, but continued with a calmness that spilled over to the people who were waiting. I had aome questions and he answered them without rushing me. He's a jewel to the organization. Conversations among the customers were cordial and empathetic for the staff. One by one as the customers transactions were completed, they bid glad tidings to everyone as they left. This is the type of place you want to give your business to. I meant to add this feedback before but thought of it today as I will be back to their office again soon. I had a 6am flight at BWI and had to drop off the rental car around 4am, and was nervous that it was going to be some little dark building in the middle of nowhere... quite the opposite, it was well-lit and safe, and had clean bathrooms, and the shuttle seems to run pretty regularly even at 4am! (Or we just got lucky.)”

“First, Tedi is the reason we are giving this location five stars. We recently needed a cargo van late on a Friday. We reserved one online but Budget didn’t have a record of it. Tedi took care of us. He found us a truck, but it needed an oil change for us to rent it. No problem. He literally took off his shirt, put on a mechanics shirt, went into the garage, and did the oil change himself! “I was a little skeptical booking here because of the negative reviews associated with them and picking up for ride share. But I risked it instead of spending a good bit of extra money at the airport rental. I arrived with no difficulties and actually was at a separate check in compared to ride share. Mariah was the hertz associate who helped with my rental experience at the store. She was great! She personally took just a few minutes to check out the vehicle and clean a couple missed spots and then I was on my way. Upon returning she was also there and made drop off a breeze. I wish they had a separate review for the private rental experience which is completely separate from the negative ride share reviews. Even the associates in the ride share department seemed to be fine.”

“The service from ordering online, pick up and drop-off was outstanding. This past Friday was a nightmare for your employees as there were no cars available and many, many customers were short tempered and very rude. The Thrifty staff handled each customer with politeness and professionalism while being verbally attacked by irate customers. The rep that handled my rental pickup that day was the most professional, even while a waiting customer was hurling insults at her. Also, a Ms. Joyce who assisted with my return todaywas also a breath of fresh air and so professional. Thank you Thrifty staff from the cleaning crew to the drop-off.”
