“Compared many hotels near Inner Harbor but went with this one about 20 minutes away. Partly because I wanted to attend Grace Fellowship Timonium which is about 100 yards away. (Highly recommend).Pros:Clean, inviting outsideConvenient access to highwayShops and restaurants nearbyChilis connected to hotelNice areaPlenty of free parkingCons:Traffic noiseSounds echo from hallwayBathroom tub area dirtyBathroom vent full of dust lint2 inch gap at bottom of entry doorOverall, a very good value. I waited a bit late to reserve and the price dropped $20 a night. Was about $300 cheaper than Inner Harbor plus free parking. This savings covered our rental car. Driving back and forth to the city and Inner Harbor was pretty easy. Save the $5 per person for breakfast and go to Chick Fil a or a bagel place less than a mile away. Pink ceiling made the room feel retro.Rooms: Pink ceiling, queen sized bed. Older style bathtub.Nearby activities: Horse track one mile away. Cinemark movie theater 6 miles away. 20 minutes to city.Safety: Area is clean with mainly M-F businesses so there was bury little foot traffic. Seemed to be no hidden areas.Food & drinks: Plenty of restaurants within 1-2 miles.”

“Booked a stay for the end of March for an impromptu Baltimore trip and had a great time. As a UBalt alum, it was nice to be in the Mount Vernon neighborhood again, and it's a quick ride to the inner harbor for the tourist stuff. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Had a maintenance issue when the fire doors closed and I was unable to get back to my room, and everything was taken care of very promptly. Room was cute and had a great view. Make sure that you check out the wallpaper on the staircase right past the valet desk. It will surprise you.”

“We just spent a 4 day babymoon at the Ivy and it was the perfect cozy getaway! The staff went above and beyond - James, Calvin, Janelle, Theresa, Anthony and everyone else were so kind and accommodating! Highlights of the trip include:- cozy hotel room with fireplace- best omelette we’ve ever had- the grits - wow- the Spa - double wow- drivers were able to take us everywhere we wanted to go within the 3 mile radius (which is as far as you need to go to explore Baltimore)I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the stay! The Ivy will always hold a special place to us as we expand our family. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so spectacular! We will be back!”

“Rooms were very clean. Hot water was fast to turn on. The crab cakes at the restaurant in hotel was mouth watering flavorful and had huge portions of crab, very worth it. The morning breakfast was worth it, had your usual egg, bacon, sausages, cereal and fruits etc. Every personnel there was very nice and such a delight.Across the hotel is the mall, very short walking distance. I will definitely return here when I am in town!”

“Talk about a secret gem. Close enough to the light rail station so that you never truly feel disconnected from the city, but surrounded by greenery and sloping hills. I felt like I was in some romance film, even though I was completely alone! The rooms are decent sized, but there are no mirrors outside of the bathroom and closet door. Also, the bed was much more firm than I had anticipated. Not the worst thing in the world, just reaffirmed how much I need something soft. Mt. Washington Tavern nearby is a great place to grab something to eat!”

“A little off the beaten path, but clean rooms and a great breakfast! The young lady that works the breakfast buffet is awesome! She is super friendly and a great way to start the day!!”

“A basic room, bare bones. Clean with comfortable beds. No mini fridge or microwave (unheard of, these days). Stayed in a room for 4 people, only 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth (strange). Breakfast was good, always good at Hampton Inn. We checked in on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful, very professional.Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants nearby, also a shopping mecca. Walking is difficult and dangerous, lots of traffic. Do not plan on getting gas in this area. Only one gas station as you enter the shopping/hotel/restaurant area and the price is 75¢ a gallon more than stations at rest areas or other exits. Fill up your gas tank elsewhere.Walkability: Dangerous situation if you try to walk to shopping or restaurants.”

“My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks for work and I loved it here. No one bothered us, room was clean, guest laundry was cheap, bed was soft, breakfast was good and it’s right beside the interstate.Walkability: You could literally walk to get food”

“Great place to stay if your on a budget. The smoke free rooms are actually smoke free. The beds are comfortable & the water gets hot.Nearby activities: Towson mall is just minutes away. There is a chick fil a in the same shopping center. Very convenient location.”

“I recently stayed here, while centrally located, fell short in several areas. The staff were friendly but the room quality is what you pay for, with outdated furniture and worn bedding. Cleanliness was passable but not meticulous. The hotel offered minimal amenities, and there was no complimentary breakfast. Additionally. This hotel could be an option for those prioritizing cost over comfort, but it needs some reinnovations , and it would be great.”

“Yes, the aesthetics of the hotel are lacking. But I need to express my appreciation for the front desk employee, Claudio, for his friendly and polite hospitality. I walked in needing a room right away due to an unexpected 21 hr drive that had me up for over 24 hours. He was more than accommodating, and had housekeeping rush a room turnover. He even personally checked the room to ensure the floors were dry before handing us the key. I was able to take a good nap before hitting the road again. So very appreciated!!”
