“I needed to send some books media rate, but I haven’t sent packages through USPS in a while and was unfamiliar and unsure about the process. The woman behind the counter was incredibly patient and helped me out in correctly addressing my package and finding a way to print my pre-paid label (FYI, no printer here but if you have a QR code from Click-N-Ship they can scan it and print the label themselves). They were also managing the line efficiently on a Friday afternoon close to closing and kept everything moving. All the packages I sent arrived in one piece. This is hands down the best experience I have ever had at any USPS location.
Editing to add: I came again to mail another package, and the same fantastic person helped me find the most affordable shipping option and was patient while I figured out my shipping address. I had tried to mail this same thing at FedEx the day before but couldn’t because I didn’t have my ID on me— so glad, because this was $5 cheaper for a faster and more convenient experience. I love this post office.”

“I can’t say enough about the professional service we received today. We came in after the Milton office was unable to process our passport application because their “camera wasn’t working”. Although we didn’t have an appointment, the employee at the front desk kindly spoke with the passport agent, Shakeil, who was happy to help us.
Shakeil carefully reviewed all of the documents for our newborn, took the passport photo, and made sure everything was in order. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and professional from start to finish. We truly appreciated the team’s willingness to accommodate us and their exceptional customer service. I watched as he expertly navigated a busy lunchtime rush, assisting customers with passport applications, mail orders, and my postal stamp purchase. He directed customers who needed to fill out forms to do so on the side while he simultaneously helped other customers, quickly processing the long lunchtime line. He was professional and kind. “I like this post office better then many others in the area. The line usually moves quickly. Mostly because they actually have staff working the counters. The staff here are friendly and helpful but more importantly, they get the job done. Parking is limited but the few street parking spaces out front turn over quickly. Overall, this branch is a much better experience then Newton Corner, Newton Center or Newtonville.”

“Staff here is the greatest of all time- patient, caring and always willing to help even when terribly understaffed. They deserve a raise and a nicer work environment which should be provided by the federal government. The US government is failing us all and the failure is reflected directly in the condition of our run down post office facilities. The staff here is our only saving grace at Washington st.”

“I came in with some questions most adults should know. I walked in anxious as always, but then was happily greeted by Alisha who put me right at ease with the bubbly professional vibe. She allowed me to ask questions, get answers and also gave me some helpful tips!! Alisha made it so I didn’t cry in the car after that interaction. You ever get so stressed you just shed 5 tears in the car and then scream sing some Adele for a verse or two? That’s happened to me at the Dedham location 8 years ago. Anyways, thank you for having Alisha there when I needed help from my local US Post Office hero.
