βFriendly workers. Running shoes, clothing, and gear are all high quality.I give 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. Mainly, there is no info on the shoes on the wall display. The Boston and Brookline locations list things like the model, stack height, and drop right next to the shoe. Cambridge really needs to do this.Secondly, the 3 shoes initially brought out didnβt match my foot scan at all. It was odd. But I did find a pair of Nikes I liked and was able to order them from Nike directly in the width I need. Note that width options are limited in most running stores. So I donβt fault Marathon sports for not carrying the wide.β
βRented skis boots and poles for 5 days for $115! They have good clothes and socks in stock. The workers are super relaxed but also diligent. I would definitely recommend renting here or shopping for some things, though the store is kind of small. If you need some ski pants or socks they definitely have a lot of those things.β

βI had a great experience getting running shoes here! Sophia helped me choose a pair of shoes after I did the technological evaluation scan thing, where you step on the platform and it evaluates your shoe size, pronation level, and where you put pressure on your feet. She was wonderful at listening to what I was looking for, offering options, and explaining the benefits of different brands and styles. I ended up with a pair of Asics and also running socks. If I end up needing a shoe insole, I'll come back here. I would highly recommend this Marathon Sports ?β
βSteve killed it today. I showed up at 11am on a Tuesday and the store was busy for a midweek day. Nonetheless Steve picked the ideal set of options for me in minutes and the first one was the winner. Walked out 30 minutes later with the most comfy shoes Iβve ever run in. Wallet was a bit lighter though :)β
βThey sold us non-matching skis. We went back with the receipt 3 weeks later and they refused to take them back because they were a matching set. At the end of the season they again refused them because the skis didnβt match. We never used them.
Update: the manager and I had a discussion and theyβve agreed to give us store credit. Iβm happy with the overall outcome.β
βThis place is great! Perfect for all ages! Thereβs at least 15 Lanes, I donβt know exactly, I just left for the first time. Iβd recommend it to anyone! Weather your age 5-15ish they have slow speed pitching machines, also baseball pitching machines that probably go at least 80-85mph. BOOK AHEAD OF TIME! Youβll be way better off booking early because it does fill up on weekends, today I went with my niece, and I booked 1 hour. Itβs $50 for 1 hour. Go and have a blast!β
βWhile they didn't have what I was looking for (replacement gunwales for an old Mad River Canoe), Marc very promptly answered all my questions, gave me a bunch of good advice and redirected me to other shops in the area that might have what I needed. This was over several emails where it would have been very easy for him to just ignore me.
Once I get this canoe repaired, I'll be happily shopping here for any accessories that I need.β
βI couldn't recommend Fast Splits enough! Yesterday I worked with Linda on a wetsuit fitting for an upcoming triathlon I am doing on Lake Michigan. Linda is fantastic and I truly had a personalized experience! I haven't worn a wetsuit in the open water before. She took the time to teach me the wetsuit basics, fit me, made sure I felt comfortable in the suit including taking it on and off, and taught me about wetsuit maintenance. I could truly see her passion in what she does and I am grateful for all the time she spent with me. I am confident I now have an investment piece for years to come and I'm very excited about getting more into open water swimming now that I have the appropriate gear and education! Thank you Linda and Fast Splits! This is the place to go for all your multisport needs!β

βThis store is really worth five stars, the only reason I gave it four stars is itβs just a bit expensive for me, but if you need anything hiking snowboarding, outdoor clothes, jackets, pants, hats, backpacks really nice stuff they have it all they really do they have basically want Marshalls and TJ Maxx has plus a bunch of other stuff. Iβm gonna keep this short. I would recommend this place to anybody!β

He ordered a new head from Maryland, which was delivered quickly, restrung it, and followed up with a call to let me know it was ready! And to top it off, he had it FedEx directly to my daughter at college!! this was such a huge help as sheβs in midseason and in dire need for her own stick
