“Needed a last minute storage solution, and Extra Space Storage delivered! Particular shout out to Tom, store manager. All around professional place and experience.
Tom explained the different storage options clearly and was fair (he did not at all try to upsell me, but also explained pros/cons: we ended up choosing the slightly more expensive option because it met our needs better).
The office area was clean and cheerful. I liked that they have all the last minute or extra things you might need to buy (locks, tape, etc.), right there.
So happy we found this place!
UPDATE: Best and safest customer service! LOVE THEM even more! When we moved out of the unit several months after starting, on a weekday hours before the office opened (using access code etc), very soon after their office opened we received a personal phone call confirming that we had moved out, because management had noticed on their daily morning inspection that our unit was missing it's lock (we had neglected in advance to inform them we didn't need storage anymore, it was a crazy busy time for us). How classy and safe and responsible of them to telephone us to verify we did indeed move out! If we had been there had been anything "off" or not good, we would, due to their diligence and care and hard work, have known immediately! But that wouldn't ever happen, because this place is SECURE and they TAKE CARE OF YOU -- and your stuff!!! The phone call was very kind and respectful and professional. And so above & beyond to make sure our stuff was secure! I had no idea employees were every morning walking around to inspect that every unit was lockd and secure as it should be. that is just so great. They also made the check out process and the end of billing (because we moved out) easy and seamless. As a working professional & a busy parent, I appreciate them being so on top of things so that they made my life a little easier. I cannot rate this place high enough. I would give then 6 our of 5 stars; 120 out of 100; A+++ in every way from security to professionalism to caring & kind employees! Thank you so much for the amazing care and service! Wish you and your office all the best!”

“I've been with this location since 9/2019 and the staff has always been super helpful when it's been needed. Easily accessible and security is great in the building. The aisles are the right size that if needed someone else can use a dolly with you not being in the way. But you'll rarely see someone else at the same time as you. The five years I've been there I've only seen a handful of people or hear them on the other side of the building.
Recently however I have discovered mouse droppings in my unit and I can only hope that they haven't gotten to some important belongings of mine. If they have it will certainly be a bummer.
My other concern which tends to be the same of others is the increase in the least cost. Which I know must happen since it's a very competitive area. But it's to the point where it's getting close to where I will be unable to afford it much longer.
My first month was $14.45. the following month went to $101 but after talking to them they brought it down to $76 for one month. Fast forward to about a week ago (currently paying $174) I received in the mail my unit will be going to $210. If I was someone who passes out easily I would have been knocked out on the pavement. Unfortunately I have had to start looking elsewhere to keep my belongings safe. Living in Dorchester it was worth it to take the hike over into Norwood by the MBTA or Uber because the exceptional service I have continuously received. I can only hope when I do eventually find a new unit that the staff and security is as top notch as the ones here.”

“The facility is clean, has relatively easy accessibility and has long hours. The issues are, 1. Expensive. Effective May 1, 2024 the rental costs are rising AGAIN. This makes a medium size unit, 10' x 10', a 57% increase in less than two years., 2. The owner tacks on a $0.50/month fee to support his pet charity. It's a minor amount but why should renters pay for his charity contributions?, 3. Renters occasionally parking the four spaces directly in front of the main doors to the building then leave their vehicles and trucks for extended time periods, sometimes for over one hour, when they are moving items around in their rental units. They do not move their vehicles after unloading them into nearby spaces to free up the loading/unloading area., 4. Last year the firefighting system failed. The Town of Needham/Needham Fire Dept. restricted access to the facility to only during office hours. This eliminated access to storage units during the weekends. It also increased risk to the renters. No discounts were offered during the months when this occurred.”
