While driving in West Springfield, I chanced upon Arnold’s Auto Body and decided to ask for an appointment. To my surprise, the owner who was at the front desk offered to check it out immediately. With his tools in hand, he meticulously worked on it for about 15 minutes and managed to restore it perfectly. What was even more astounding was that he didn’t charge me a dime. Fast forward to today, I visited again with a new car that had a few rock chips. Without hesitation, the same gentleman offered to help, asking only that I bring in some touch-up paint. “Over the last 25 years, I've purchased eight cars, both new and used, from several dealerships in different states. Last week, my experience purchasing a used 2021 Corolla from Balise was the best and easiest experience of all--by far. Over two days, I inspected and test-drove nine cars, all Corollas. My salesman Will G. gave me all the time I needed and was so soft-sell that he was practically no-sell. He just shared his expertise when I had questions. I loved that the price and fees were non-negotiable. They didn't have to be negotiated. The car's advertised "sale price" was excellent. The doc fees were around a $150 above Mass. average according to Cars Edge, but I was perfectly happy to pay it for the easy transaction, which included two sets of keys, a new battery and new all-weather floor mats. The "out-the-door" price had just four items, price, doc fees, a $5 doc prep fee and sales tax, and that's it! So easy. The deal was take it or leave it, and I took it!Chris F. handled the financing and closing. He's a good guy. He didn't try to sell me anything. I told him I wanted to either finance the whole deal, depending on the rate, or pay cash in full. Chris made it easy. He told me the best rate he could get me on three, four, or five-year terms, and let me decide. No pressure. He didn't try to sell me any add-ons like extended warranty or pinstriping. I could have been in and out of his office in ten minutes, but we took a little bit longer to connect as humans with similar interests in music and parenting. I took the financing and drove the car home without a penny down.Simply put, Will and Chris are good dudes, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next car from them.
