“This was my first experience and the gentlemen at the counter who is also the owner was super nice and helpful, he even gave my son who is 5 a free disc in his size when I bought 2 of my first discs. By far the best customer service and made a lifetime customer! We be back when needing more disc for sure!
Update: since my first review I have now bought I believe somewhere around 20 disc, a discraft backpack bag, my wife has gotten into it and got 5 disc and our son has 1 disc all from disc baron and even chatted with the owner about my progression, he's super awesome and excited to talk about the sport! I am loyal to this shop for life at this point from all the pointers hes given me and when I asked about my bag he said in fully set not even trying to sell me any thing. Definitely will be stopping in to just chat with him each week still and talk about progress made! He's the best!”

“I’ve been looking yo get into fly fishing for quite some time and I had stopped by the shop just to check it out while in town and headed to another event. A few weeks later, my wife and I decided we’re gonna get some gear and start fishing. We stopped in and Rich got us set up and helped us out, but he wasn’t able to set my reel up with line due to his injury, so i had to come back in to get that done. Luckily, I was planning on making a trip back out that way soon anyhow. When I got there, the shop was closed and I was able to reach out to Scott l, who I chatted with the first visit, and he was kind enough to show up on his day off and set my reel up for me!
Great group of individuals. Very experienced folks who obviously enjoy fly fishing. Glad I stopped in randomly one weekend and was able to come back for their recommendations. Helped me out a lot!”
“Great store! We went here for baseball gloves a few weeks back and they had a great selection of broken in gloves for our sons' first year playing. We went back again for a bucket of used baseballs for batting practice. Shout out to Nick for helping me get a great assortment of balls in the bucket and for holding them for me till I got of work. If we don't purchase a leo at the gym then we will go and order directly from their website (which is always a fun and easy transaction). “This store has everything you need to get outfitted to ski or snowboard and the staff is super helpful and knowledgeable. Both of our kids participate in the equipment exchange program that they offer which gives us the flexibility to trade up their gear when as the grow and progress. After snowboarding for 20 years, I decided to switch to skis and I didn't even know where to begin. Kate F helped me through the entire process of fitting me perfectly with new boots, skis and a beautiful Burton coat. She even did a heat molding process to make the boots even more comfortable for me. We will 100% be returning to Boyne Country Sports to purchase gear again in the future and of course, we will ask for Kate!”
“We discovered that if you own a NorthFace product that deteriorated you can return it for an exchange. Last week we took a jacket back but discovered that in order to return it, we had to go onto our computer and fill out all the paperwork. Because we are not 100% computer savvy, we asked the clerk, Nicholas, if he would do it for us — and he did! That is what we call excellent customer service. Thank you, Nicholas.!”

“I rolled in this store on a Tuesday morning fairly disheveled and in my "lazy day" sweat pants. I was still greeted by the employee and manager. The manager also took the time to help me find several pairs of shoes. He was polite, friendly and knew exactly the shoe I wanted. I left with 2 pair...the one I expected to get and a pair I just couldn't resist.”

“the minute I had walked into this store, one of the store managers, Nick I believe, instantly started talking to me about the store credit card. I don’t come here that often that it would benefit me, I don’t get store cards in general. They usually have high interest rates. But Nick kept pushing me about it and telling me how it’s such a great card, it was starting to annoy and upset me with how much he kept doing it. So I finished my shopping, and I was checked out by the SWEETEST girl Beth. We talked about some items I was purchasing and then started talking about my kids and all the sports they are all in. She made my experience SO much better. All she did was ask me if someone had talked to me about their card and if I was interested in it and when I said yes that someone had but that I wasn’t interested in it, that was that. I didn’t have to pull out a million and one excuses as to why I didn't want or need one. She gave me the benefits one last time in a friendly “just so you know” manner and said I can always do it on the website too if I changed my mind. Which I appreciated a lot. Beth is someone that knows what she’s doing and will be coming back for that customer care☺️”

“Bill and Paul's Sporthaus was our scout troop's outfitter for a recent kayak trip in West Michigan. JJ quoted us a price that was better than anywhere else, with the flexibility of both tandem kayaks and single kayaks, including equipment drop-off and pick-up on our one-way trip. Zack helped us with equipment on the day of our trip. All of the equipment was in excellent condition, and communication was excellent. We were treated like VIPs the whole time, and we sincerely appreciate the care, time, and commitment to safety demonstrated by Bill and Paul's Sporthaus. We will definitely book again next time we're on the west side of MI.”
