We reserved a kennel overnight thinking we would be coming back off the island after 6pm (latest pickup time at the kennel). A cool damp day on the island led to us returning to Mackinaw City much earlier. We called and told Karla we would be picking up our dogs early. When we arrived at the kennel our dogs were in the outside kennel and their belongings were packed and ready for us.
Between the great communication with Karla making the reservation, the drop off and pickup and the care our dogs received we were very pleased with Trails End Kennel.

14277 Mackinaw Hwy, Mackinaw CityFantastic beer and food with a charming beer garden that’s both dog and kid friendly! The menu is small and the tap room didn’t look like much, but don’t let that fool you. This was a highlight of our up north trip. The Jacob’s Farmhouse beer and brisket sandwich were incredible. Definitely worth a stop and we’ll be back!

110 W Central Ave, Mackinaw CityThis place was great! I have a dairy allergy and they were so accommodating. We also had our dog with us so we sat outside. It started to drizzle and both the waitress and the cook came out to move an umbrella over our table. It’s a small operation. They were very attentive and kind.
