“Very clean. Great place for large parties since many things are in bulk. Went and bought the pre-made Christmas cookies. Can't make them for the price. Box of 72. $13.99”
“Lovely small town market with a delightful staff. Keeps a broader variety of staple, dry goods and produce items. Carries meat as well as frozen meals. Staff are incredibly friendly, and is an active supporter of charities and food banks in the community.”
“If you do some shopping here make sure to check every label for an expiration date. Several times I’ve gotten very expired food. Today I bought tortillas that expired in may and eggs that did yesterday. When I mentioned it the cashier was rude and told me to go get another one. There were no other eggs in that price range that weren’t “out of date” and I did not have time to go back and look through all the tortillas in the hopes of finding a pack not expired. When I got home I made my microwave “TV dinner” that smells rancid. It had expired in 2024! The last time I shopped here I bought a can of hot dog chili that expired in 2023. The butchers meat there is the best in town though and most of the people who work there are kind and very helpful.
Editing to add: The past several shopping trips here were perfect. Great employees, fresher foods and a more laid back atmosphere. Thank you! 5 stars”

“Reasonable pricesAmazing guy working counterI dropped 10$ by mistake walked across the street at this point and this guy came running out to return itA lot of places I know would’ve kept it”
“No drugs around like I was hoping, but it's a cool place to loiter and the employees are pretty cool. Prices are decent too especially for this area. Will visit/do business again.”
“I knew this liquor store for the past 30 years. staff are great, Kim, George and Magi are really knowledgeable and helpful the owner John is awesome, this store is his dear place, he takes care of his customers like family. always busy with the locals. I truly recommend EJ's Liquor store”
“Very busy place on the east side of Monroe. I've gotten to know quite a few of the neighbors here and they are all helpful and friendly and watch out for me while I'm there. The carryout has everything you can imagine and support local community events.”
“Very good and honest owners. I was in a rush one morning and stopped by to pick up a few things. The card machine stopped working and it was one of the few times I wasn’t carrying cash on me.A couple weeks go by and I received a phone call from Villa’s credit card company. They said Isaac looked into this and it did in fact charge my card and they were refunding both charges that him and I thought were canceled. There’s not many people that go through this effort to make things right. Especially without me even knowing. Thanks!”
“Customer Service is awful. If your purchase is over $100, they won't take it back without a receipt. They lost a customer that spends thousands of dollars a year at Meijer over a 110 dollar return. According to the store manager it was a "business" decision not a "customer service" decision. Apparently no one told him you don't have a business without customers.”
“Monroe Meijer store has practically everything you need
The pharmacy is very easily located near the service center public bathrooms are handicapped extensible. You can easily find an employee to offer help and assistance. I go to Monroe Meijer store for all my needs and groceries at least once a week if not twice a week”
“Gas and go - although I do not like the prepay before pumping - for I don't know how much the vehicle will hold and only want to make one trip to the window to pay and not two trips”
“The place is always packed with a variety of stuff and good deals.. And David is so helpful and doesn't matter if he's working the floor or if someone at the register needs help or customer needs help.. He's fantastic. He jumps in and takes initiative and so helpful. It's nice to see how much of a a team player and customer pleaser he is!”
“Prices seem to be higher than Meijer but occasionally sale prices are the best in the county. They are always kind to me. I use a mobility scooter because I have muscular dystrophy. They are also as helpful as possible to old people with Alzheimer's disease. It is always very clean. They sell gas but it is over priced. They often have bargains on seasonal items they place outdoors to lure you inside. The employees seem to have a lot of integrity and ask if they can help handicapped people. Kroger is a preferred pharmacy with some of the big insurance companies so you will get better prices than elsewhere if Kroger is on the preferred list”

“I really hate going into any gas stations during this pandemic but I REALLY had to stop. The attendant was nice, wore her mask PROPERLY, and she was willing to help us find the items we were looking for. Also, I was pleasantly surprised on how clean they're public bathroom was. I mean it was spotless - which is highly unusual for any gas station.”

“This was my first time here at this particular Kroger. It was recommended by a friend that lives in Monroe, Mi. I was looking for rotisserie chicken. They had only one left for me ?. It was VERY tender which I loved!!! The only thing that I took a star off for was for the bland taste ?. Where was the seasoning ?...I spruced it up the finished it. So only 1 star off...great job!”
“I liked having a Walmart in Michigan when we went.... coming from Indiana everything seemed to be cheaper to lol people were nice and I didn't have to wait In line forever....only thing i didnt see was Big Red ??? is there no big red in Michigan lol”
