“The warmth and smells floating from the bakery form a bubble universe in which all pain leaves your heart and body and is replaced with a rising, doughlike feeling in your body that brings to mind only the happiest and most fulfilling of thoughts. It makes you want to cry in the way that a breathtaking view does, except you're breathing the deepest breath you ever breathed. The staff is friendly and the building is pretty accessible! Don't forget to pay for parking if you park in the street during the week.”

“Nice, small packed store, with decent stock of typical restaurant supplies. It seems well visited by local businesses and the community. Parking was ample, accessible. Staff is responsive to inquiries. Well organized. Prices are ok, not so much competitive in all staples. I usually buy 50lb of bread flour, all purpose and pastry flour. I noticed they sell seasonal items for restaurant desserts.”

“Great for low stress shopping. Familiar products without the anxiety of a million different brands of items to choose from like other chain stores. Great seasonal items and weekly/monthly Aldi only deals. Would recommend to anyone who has a tough time grocery shopping.”

“Friendly service right in the hood.Always have what I need - Rello'sBeer & Liquor didint give 5 stars due to Ypsilanti PD harrassment. After walking out police shook me down stretched me searched my car -mind u no mask no gloves and the only reason for doing so is that I'm parked (in a public parking space on the street looking at NBA on my phone) thus was deemed reason to disrespect me with no cause for search other that I as a person look suspicious... Good store but cops in the area need sensitively training.”

“I stopped here after towing a vehicle to the neighboring repair shop.I went in to use the restroom and it was immaculate! It was so clean that I felt bad using it.I also purchased and drink and sandwich because I do not use public restrooms without doing a transaction to help the business. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and said their employees take pride in the store. That is very apparent.”

“Easy to use online order/store pickup system. Had the wrong person's order in the trunk for a few minutes but it was quickly sorted and we all had a good laugh. Also, they still sell Faygo Arctic Sun, so that's an automatic 5-star.”

“I really appreciate this store for the variety of selection, produce and prices. All of the staff is wonderful, however, I tend to come in first thing in the morning and there are 3 ladies that have been extremely helpful and are personable, yet, professional in assisting me. Unfortunately I am not certain of their names but the woman that helps in the bakery (Joyce!?!), The woman in produce (Fresh!?!), and the woman at check out (Deb!?!). I appreciate all their help and they are invaluable to me and an asset to Fresh Thyme!”

“Oh how I missed Kroger while I lived in Texas. I love the deals that Kroger has. This one is located quite close to the area that I am staying. I like the option of shopping inside online or even having it delivered to my house. Definitely one of my favorite stores.”

“The best Kroger's around Ypsilanti ... Clean store a lot of variety, but as everyone knows, you have to checkout and bag your own these days.. Miss old days”

“Not one to rate grocery stores normally. But the customer service I received the last time I was there I was quite happy with it. I was in line to pay and all my groceries were on the conveyor belt and I realized I needed a larger thing of milk, only had half gallon and needed a gallon, the clerk left the line to get me a gallon. It was very nice and unexpected. I just wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shout out!”

“Great store! Lots of great organic products and loved the dried fruit and nut selection. My blackberries tasted kind of off and I ate a few of them but they still let me return them. They were kind and gave me utensils to eat my coconut that I bought. ???”

“Not sure what the other reviewers had happen, I always had a great relationship with the workers here. Yeah, it's a sketchy spot, look where it is. What do you really expect? It's not their fault people deal drugs next door.”

“I love this gas station. I have to drive some miles there to cash my Kroger points but even so, the price they sell gas is competitive when discounting 500+ points. For less than that there are other gas stations around that offer similar prices without the hassle.”

“So I recently posted about Meijer not taking back the cans for beverages that they sell. I know it's only a dime per can but it adds up! Since Meijer and target are right next-door to each other I decided to call target. I had never seen bottle return there but I thought what harm would it be to call. Customer service was so friendly and nice. They said bring up the cans to the customer service desk and we can count them out and they would reimburse me. They did say there's a $25 limit but I didn't have that many. I was so appreciative that they took back my San Pellegrino cans that I will buy all of my San Pellegrino from them from now on. And they were very friendly about it. Good job target!”

“Honestly I just come to this Kroger for the produce and the section where they have the health and vegan foods which offer quite an array of many selections, and also have more reasonable prices for vegan options than other stores like Lucky's, Fresh Thyme, and Whole Foods. There's always great deals for being a Kroger member and even the ice cream section has vegan selections available. Oftentimes my family and I find that some vegan meats and cheeses are available and desserts, chips, etc that have great deals and it's not overpriced like in stores that just specialize only in health foods where they cannot lower the prices because that's all they sell. Kroger has other products they sell along with the vegan options which is why they can be more flexible with the prices. This place we frequent the most because it is close to home, but also it is clean and well maintained. The customer service, the employees are thoughtful to our children, giving them stickers when they come shopping with us. We appreciate this clean and well maintained establishment.”

“On the larger side for a Kroger’s, If you were looking for more affordable, bulk large family shopping, the Carpenter location is a good option. As far as Kroger’s go, they tend to have the best selection, and generally speaking, they have the best deals in the area, at least in my opinion.(it’s also across from an Aldi’s. So that is even more options to stop and get some bulk stuff for cheap! TBH, I still tend to stick with Kroger’s because I know where everything is and it’s reliably there. But it’s cool to have two options in the same location.)Now the the section for gift cards and floral arrangements here is not very big. But you can always go to the Arborland location for that. They are very good location for smaller or older families with like a lot of health food and things like that. I don’t tend to shop there, but there are specific things that I will go there for from time to time.My only critique, it said it could be a bit cleaner. But I do understand that the employees work their butts off and management could probably hire a few more people to help them out. The employees are kind though, and generally helpful. The only times they’ve ever seemed less than friendly was when they were obviously very stressed and even then they were polite. (TBH this was when they were understaffed a while back to things have generally been good as of late.)I do want to add that Kroger’s in general are very good at marking gluten-free items which is awesome. They are also very WIC friendly. This location is better than some. FWIW the best location for using WIC is actually the one off Michigan Ave. But it is also a pretty rough area”
