“Nice J's & mailed promptly. They use USPS so my package took over 10dys to arrive. The shoe box got a little scuffed up & damaged. When not being used they're stored in there so the box definitely matters. Would absolutely recommend & will buy from again just suggest they use a different shipper. Plan on stopping in the store when in MI next - excited about that!”

“I visited this location on a busy Saturday afternoon looking to buy new running shoes. Paul did a great job explaining my feet scan to me, as well as answering a few of my running technique questions. So far I am loving my new On shoes! I would not hesitate to buy my next pair of shoes from this store and Paul.”

“I was looking for more of a traditional Pistons jersey, but I found a black Pistons t-shirt that was more of my personal style. I am too excited! I can't wait to wear it to their game”

“I’ve been a great skier years ago but multiple foot surgeries really changed my foot/calf size and comfort. I’ve been an occasional skier since then, always renting— with very suboptimal experiences. The last several rentals resulted in blisters, bruising, and numbness. I’ve also racked up hours of ski lodge frustration that I wasn’t getting my money’s worth of a lift ticket but really was in too much discomfort to feel like I could ski safely. It’s been frustrating, and I really thought my skiing days were done. Skiing has always brought me joy but my post surgery trips have brought me less joy and more pain than anything. My best rental experience (but still not ideal) of late was at The Highlands, where the rental return clerk suggested I buy my own boots, and rent skis and poles. While I tried on boots at the Highlands, I was hesitant to buy so quickly and a Google search lead me to Sun & Snow and their expert boot fitting. There are many ski shops between me (in Sterling Heights) and Sun & Snow (in Plymouth) but site after site recommended Sun & Snow and so did review after review— and so, I made an appointment. As an orthopaedic OR RN, I was impressed with the ease of online scheduling, the extensive intake form, and the length of the appointments. I knew from the start this was going to be different. Aaron was concerned about the fit, knowledgeable about anatomy, and super friendly. He was adamant that we would find a comfortable boot, and that I wouldn’t need to compromise or ski in pain.We didn’t find the boots that first appointment, so we scheduled a second one. There’s easy parking right behind the store and our appointments always started on time which allowed me to cram a ton into my day off! We came very close with an option at appointment 2 but I was still leery of pulling the trigger. There was one boot Sun & Snow didn’t have in my size that ideally, we wanted to compare, and Aaron agreed that if we could get the boot, we’d make the best educated decision. We found the boot at a local competitor and made a third appointment to make the final decision. Before I left appointment 2, Aaron assured me that he would not put me in a boot neither he nor I were comfortable in—and while they completely demonstrated it during the whole process, this was continually reassuring.Today I returned for appointment 3 with the outside boot— and after comparing to our appointment 2 option, we were both surprised that the outside boot was the best, most comfortable option of all the appointments—so we set about custom fitting that boot to my crazy feet. Aaron was cognizant the entire time about my surgery foot, and really talked through the whys and hows of the process. I never felt rushed, pressured, or like a bother. I learned a great deal of excellent information about ski boot fitting and options and felt like I made a truly informed decision with Aaron’s guidance. As promised, the boots only felt better as we continued to customize the boots to my foot. I could not believe how comfortable the final product was— and I left a little teary. I truly thought I’d have to sacrifice my comfort— and I did, for many years, until it appeared that I’d have to completely give up a gorgeous winter day on the slopes because the pain was too much— and now I don’t. And I’m thrilled to have a year to fine tune these boots as needed with the year fit guarantee.Thank you Aaron for your tireless energy in this quest! It’s always great to have an excellent resource to share with my surgeons, colleagues, and patients but I can truly vouch for Sun & Snow with a personal experience that was simply exceptional. I can’t wait to try these out on the slopes! I can’t wait to not dread the walk to or from the slopes in ill fitting boots! You fit me in ski boots— but more importantly, you helped me maintain a hobby that brings me joy that I was ready to give up. Grateful for your knowledge, enthusiasm, and similar love for the sport and our state. Thank you for a truly amazing experience!”

“I purchased a pair of shorts for my grandson for graduation from M Den. They were sent by a 3rd party and Amazon. They didn’t fit and they would not allow me to return because it was past 30 days. All I wanted to do was exchange and after two emails and going to 2 stores that were closed, I went to Rally House. The manager from the Canton Store on Michigan Ave was so kind. She looked it up and was able to see that they sell it there. She gave me a gift receipt for the $90 for my grandson to come and purchase whatever he wants. I will be ordering all my sport items from Rally House. It was such a pleasure working with her.
I was in retail working with Disney and we were told the customer is always right. Thank you so very much!”

“We love this Fjällräven store! The staff at the Ann Arbor location are always helpful and pleasant. Today I stopped by to pick up accessories for a new kanken backpack I’d bought on a third party site - the sales associate spotted that it was a FAKE and helped me report it and replace it with a real kanken bag. She also went above and beyond searching through inventory to find me the colors of accessories that I wanted. We stop by every few months and are very glad to have this local store, and grateful for the kind employees who work there.”

“Tucked back deep into the mall, it can be a little tough to find as the mall maps are not very helpful. It's a little smaller than some stores I've been too, but they had what I needed and the employee was nice and helpful.”

“Max was helpful in determining the best cleats for my son; he is polite and helpful - he really knows his stuff!!
Rod S. was very helpful when we needed to replace defective cleats; his sense of humor kept us smiling as we figured out our options and selected new cleats. :)”

“I can't say enough good things about Hog Wild Archery and the owner. I purchased a Bear Legit compound bow from him in February. Since then, I've been back to upgrade my sight, rest, strings, and much more. Every visit Howard has made sure to take care of my equipment and keep it in top shape. Thanks to his work and advice I went from not shooting in about 10 years to shooting a grouping at 80 yards. I cannot see myself going anywhere else for my archery needs.”

“I cannot say enough good things about this business! I purchased a 35' rainbow parachute from them. They were quick to ship and it arrived exactly as described. It was clearly quality and well-made. We used it and (unfortunately), due to a small defect, it ripped. Given that this was a 300+ parachute I didn't expect them to replace it- but I reached out to see if they had recommendations on how to fix it. Their help was so prompt and caring. If I had lived closer they would have repaired my existing but instead they mailed me a brand new one! Sue, in particular, at customer service was amazing (calling, emailing, everything). Would buy from this company again in a heartbeat!”

“Love this place! The owner came from his home and met us at the store so we could get our son his birthday gift in time. I don't know one big store that would do that for you! Amazing customer service. Thanks again!!”

“Wow what an awesome experience and excellent customer care for my daughter and I. We were caught in a rainstorm and happen to be close to this Ann Arbor store. We came in frazzled and soaked. Ryan took great care of us and helped us gather a full outfit for each of us. He even recognized we needed an extra bag for our wet stuff. This is why you pay extra for high quality stuff. This kind of service. Sincerely rusty kondrath”

“Great store with helpful associates. The lines have been extremely long lately so it's been a little frustrating but I hope it's temporary. They have a great clearance section! Buying online and picking up in-store is easy and fast!”

“Dick’s Sporting Goods continues to be one of the more reliable big-box experiences—clean, organized, and staffed by actual humans who make eye contact and ask if you need help (wild concept).

The store looks great and is easy to navigate. Tons of brand-name gear—Nike, North Face, Carhartt, Patagonia, Adidas, DSG—so if you’re trying to look “outdoorsy” without actually going outdoors, you’re covered. Shoes and apparel are especially well stocked, and online pickup is quick and painless, which I appreciate when I’m on a mission and not browsing for an hour.

My only recurring gripe: local team gear can feel a little light, especially hats. Plenty of national brands, but sometimes it feels like the hometown teams are playing second fiddle to North Face season. Not a dealbreaker, just noticeable.

Overall, this is a consistently good stop—helpful staff, smooth pickup, and no unnecessary chaos. You won’t leave angry, confused, or wondering why you came here, which is about as high praise as retail gets these days.”
