“Everyone at Michael’s were beyond outstanding, and I won’t even consider going anywhere else in the future as long as they’re around. I went in on a Friday to get a suit for a funeral that I thought would be a few weeks in the future. Julian was very personable, yet professional, and acknowledged my future loss without making me feel awkward. The tailor, Winston, came out and measured me for the suit, also friendly and efficiently.
I learned later that same day that I would need the suit much sooner. When I called Michael’s to ask them what they could do (even offering to pay extra to have it expedited), they said “no problem” and that they could have it ready for me in about seven days, no extra charge. On Monday—so three days after I walked in—they let me know that it was ready. I went to pick up the suit and spoke to Keith, since Julian was on his lunch break. I can’t remember if Keith already knew what the suit was for, or if I told him, but he and I spent a few minutes talking about things of a heavy nature, and the consolation of this stranger made my day a little better than when I walked in.
Everyone talks about how customer service is a dying art, but it’s not at Michael’s. Thank you to everyone there who had a hand in delivering this suit to me so quickly, a suit that looks great and fits perfectly.”

“I recently learned of Todd’s Clothiers and went there to buy some new clothes for a few professional events I have coming up. I’m not a very stylish guy so I asked for help. Todd and his staff knew exactly what to do. They listened to me when I explained what the events were and understood the assignment. They quickly pulled a few pieces to start with, fitted me, and got me out the door at a reasonable price point. I wore the outfit for the first time today and felt great walking into a room full of professionals.”
“I popped in to visit IMKC while out mall walking over the Christmas season. I rarely drive into the city to walk, so I didn’t know this store was there. Very nice with some fun and interesting items for sale. I am thrilled to see other Kansas City locations than usual displayed here. I bought gifts for my son and his wife as well as myself. The quality of the items is quite good, and there’s a nice selection readily available. The prices are in line with similar merchandise in the KC area. The men who assisted me were very engaging and friendly. I give IMKC two very enthusiastic thumbs up!?????”

“Always have to stop in at Westside Storey when I’m in the area to see what the latest KC merch is out! They carry many local KC brands and always have a large selection of Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, KC Current, and KU Jayhawk merch during their seasons as well as year round Kansas City memorabilia. “Dropped by today to grab a tie. Ended up buying a suit lol. I bought my wedding suit from Todd’s at Ward Parkway several years ago so knew they were good quality for decent prices and accepting of the LGBTQ community. Today, I really appreciated how down to earth the staff (Dominque) was - I was lamenting about how I need so many alterations and he made a point to note that everyone needs alterations and most people get a lot altered. Didn’t expect such body positivity but super grateful for it.
Note: the store has reopened. Their hours according to instagram and their door are: Tues-Sat 10am-7pm and appointment only on Sunday and Monday.”

“I went through a lot of the Tommy Bahama shirts while there and I didn't find anything that I liked. The designs weren't as crisp as I thought they would be. For a price of $115 to $175 a shirt and those $115 shirts or polyester. High end shirts made of polyester scream cheap to me. The silk shirt designs just didn't pop enough for the $175 value. Their shorts at 115 didn't scream as a good value either. I don't know I just think Tommy Bahama has really jacked his prices up for a lower quality product.”
“WHERE TO START!!! I came in about 45 minutes before they closed with some jeans i got from an online retailer that had, get this, NO HOLE FOR THE BUTTON TO GO THROUGH!!! so i look online for a place that does tailoring and buckle popped up! I went in with ZERO expectations and them to send me on my way to another tailor but they didn't!! Ashley who was at the front was so kind and did it in an instant I was so happy that i didn't have to do a drop off service and pick them up!! it was such a great experience!!”

“I had a simple goal today: replace my favorite jeans. I went to The Plaza, first to H&M, and Old Navy. I got no help, and the jeans were cheap, and fit poorly. I decided to try Lucky Brand and I’m so glad I did. Jarana, the store manager, was extremely helpful and kind! She listened to what I was looking for, and helped me find several styles, and sizes to try on. I walked out with two pairs of perfect jeans! The material is high quality, and they fit just right. Jarana really saved me! Made the process easy, and helped me to finally accomplish the goal I set out to achieve. Thanks, Jarana!!”

She was incredibly helpful and kind, I didn’t find anything that fit so I continued to shop around at other stores and eventually found my way back on another day and she was there again and like the first time super helpful and kind her container service is on point! I just needed to try on again to know what size I should order and she gave me lots of help in regards to that. The only reason why it’s not 5 stars is because they don’t carry any petite sizes which is frustrating.”
