“I have spent years trying to find a comfortable shoe/insole, etc and even had a podiatrist make custom insoles. They hurt my feet- even when I was in bed my feet ached. He kept putting me in bigger shoes so the insole wouldn't bend. Eventually i felt I was wearing clown shoes. I then tried many different brands of shoe and insoles. I could barely walk when I went into your store. Ray Easterling at the Des Pere Mo store put me in shoes that nurtured my foot, comfortable, supportive and a size I wasn't swimming in. I went back because I felt they were wearing out and he fit me again. I then went hiking on a 3 mile "moderate" trail with a few 10% +grades and lots of roots and rocks. My footing was stable and I never had to stop to get off my feet. With shoes before fleet feet I would have been in pain trying to finish the trail. In short, I feel I can walk again and the shoes fit!”
“First time visiting this location in STL. I was needing a new pair of trailrunners for an up coming vacation where we will be doing some light hiking for several days in a row. I also need a good support shoe for walking my dogs daily. Joe was fantastic and very helpful in my quest for finding the perfect shoe. The foot scan that he shared with me was very enlightening. Found out I was definitely wearing the wrong style and size shoe for probably quite some time now. I have a bunion on one foot and a couple of unique foot issues, but Joe listened to my concerns and found the perfect shoe and insert for my best personalized fit. Hoping that these lightweight trailrunners fit the bill and will break in over the next few weeks. I will definitely come back for more socks and even some of their clothes in the future. Wish I would tried this store a long time ago. I highly recommend their knowledgeable services.”
“Walked in during a busy back to school time and we were helped immediately. Angela was very knowledgeable, personable and kind. Took us through a “foot” test and really took her time in helping us find the perfect pair of shoes for both of us. Although very busy, she was not in a rush and acted like we were the only customers. She was fantastic and it was a really good experience for old folks!”

“This review is long overdue... I've been going to Racketman for over 15 yrs due to my daughter being heavily involved in tennis. So we have been in there quite frequently over the years and I have never once left disappointed. Jim (the owner) is a great guy and always willing to help with advice on anything and everything tennis related. And the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful as well. It's just a really great place with great inventory and great people. There are very few businesses anymore that truly earn the loyalty of their customers on an ongoing basis... Racketman does.”

“I went on a search for chicks and drove all over the place. I originally went to Fenton to a different farm store because they had a very specific chicken breed I was looking for (Lavender Orpingtons.) I ended up at this store instead. The girl working in the chick station was so calm even though she was getting overwhelmed by people wanting chicks. I wish I had gotten her name. She was so busy boxing chicks and tending to them. Very impressive job and one of the best places to get chicks because it was very well organized and the presentation of the area was really nice! And really, this is a super nice location! It’s huge and and has so much to look at it. I don't live anywhere near here, but did love this store! Great experience! And our chicks are doing awesome! They are now about 16 weeks old.”

He first studied my old pair of running shoes and listened to what I liked, didn't like, and needed in a pair of shoes. He spent a lot of time helping me try out models and his first suggestion is the most comfortable pair of running shoes that I absolutely love- I feel like I can go in them forever! “To make a long story short, Mick has given me, i believe, a really insightful evaluation and key points that I can improve on. I'm extremely analytical and have had a lot of great coaches through my sports life so it's hard to impress me in that regard, Mick is my new go-to guy for the swing.
Kevin and others went so far and above the "taking orders and using the cash register" that I usually see in any retail shop. I've gotten seriously great equipment insights and service without a "sales pitch." I've been in sales my whole life, and was raised by a salesman so I am very kean on this regard.
These guys are legit. I believe I am getting honesty and top notch service from these guys. My new go-to for all things golf and my only recommendation to anyone I encounter from here on out.
Whoever is in charge, manager or owner, please read this and use these guys as an example as you bring in and train new people.

“I cannot say enough good things about OMG and Coach Yama! Our daughter has taken about a dozen private lessons with him and her skills have exponentially improved. Coach Yama is so patient and really makes sure the players have correct form and technique. It’s more than a typical soccer practice - he covers strength, speed, agility, precision and performance. Our daughter wasn’t able to play competitively for several months due to medical reasons so we originally planned on taking lessons as an outlet for her love of the game but we’ve continued with the lessons even now that she’s able to play competitively again because we’ve seen so much improvement and she loves it!”

“It's a great little sportsman store. They got a wide selection everything from fishing equipment to guns to clothing. I think they even have some rafts and stuff like that. Prices seem pretty fair and the staff is pretty knowledgeable and friendly. I probably buy something from them once or twice a year and have been for years. Overall it's a good store.”

I appreciate their local focus and their wide variety of stock. Yes, 80% of it is clothing and jerseys, but they have everything from St. Louis Blues hockey pucks to St. Louis Cardinals valve caps.
I didn't interact with the staff, but they sounded friendly in their interactions with others.
