190 W Winnie Ln, Carson CityWe had a fantastic experience at Wizard of Paws! Kristina did an amazing job grooming our 65lb golden retriever/airedale mix, Lemon. Not only did Lemon look wonderful after her appointment, but she was happy as a clam — which says a lot!
Lemon has both food and environmental allergies, so grooming can be a bit of a gamble for us. Kristina was incredibly detail-oriented and attentive, and we’re thrilled to report that Lemon had no signs of an allergy flare-up or any irritation afterward. It’s clear that Kristina really knows what she’s doing and takes pride in her work.
We couldn’t be happier with the results — Lemon looks and feels great. Thank you, Wizard of Paws! We’ll definitely be back.

I really appreciated the time and effort spent with my nervous little punk. I have great confidence having Timberline as our lifelong vet because of this experience.
**Update** we are in year 2 of my very worried dog visiting Timberline for her check ups and everyone is so kind and considerate with Penny and her Big Worries. They have found a way for us to get her in the door and able to have her check ups and I am so grateful for their care!

Quail Ridge Animal Hospital
937 Mica Dr #18, Carson City1st time at this clinic since moving to carson, first impression looked pretty clean, one of the receptionist not too welcoming or friendly, first tech very nice introduced herself and was good with the pups, second tech who did vaccines not friendly at all, just came in grabbed one pup at at time, the said we good to go. Dr Spears however, was incredibly nice, super welcoming, and interacted with our pups listened to our concerns. Overall good experience, with exception to long wait over 45 mins past our appointment, but more likely they were taking care of a more urgent care of another animal so understandable, so I am not complaining about that. I would have given 5 stars, but for the receptionist and 2nd tech.

When the other bigger dogs got rough they moved him over with the smaller dogs. We got email updates while we were gone as we couldn't access cameras very often, so this gave us a piece of mind. The ladies we dealt with were very encouraging and understanding, answering questions in person or via email as needed. It was a nice chunk of change but the service and piece of mind was excellent. If we need a sitter again, which is likely next year, we will definitely be calling them.

Their ice creams are what we will come to try next. We have been looking for a place that makes fresh stuff. The staff was so friendly too!

In-N-Out Burger
957 Topsy Ln, Carson CityCan't beat an In-N-Out burger. This location is located in the large Topsy shopping center, which does make the drive thru challenging to navigate at times as it weaves through lanes of parking spaces. I do go through the drive thru, but I honestly recommend going in for the best and fastest experience. You truly can't beat the prices at this place. A good size burger is still less than $6. I fed my daily of four tonight for just $25. Solid food for solid prices. The inside service is super fast. The drive thru is also fast but certainly slower than the drive thru. The employees are always kind and courteous and they keep the place super clean. I've never had a bad experience at this location with either service or food. Overall, it's an In-N-Out. You kinda know what you're expecting but this location lives up to the hype and is dependable for inexpensive, quality food and service.

312 S Carson St, Carson CityAfter finishing the Kit Carson Trail and exploring the many historic homes and landmarks, we happened upon this charming coffee shop and restaurant.
The ambience is unique and fun—definitely not your typical coffee stop. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall pleasant experience.
We arrived close to closing time, so some of the food had been sitting out for a bit, but even so, it was still quite good. We’d like to come back earlier in the day to try everything at its freshest.
Overall, a nice surprise and a spot we’d happily return to.

Yet earned its Carson City reputation by their museum like memory artifacts. Including the 1923 steamroller. Painted in a timelessly unfading firehouse red. Whether you are in the holiday spirit. Or a roadtrip travel throughout the year. There is always something especially appealing about the old fashioned traditional color of red. Like a side of cranberry. A firetruck parading around santa in his red velvet suit. Alongside Clifford, the big red dog. All very much appealing to the human eye. Much like the brightly glowing red present wrapped beneath the Christmas tree.
