I used petco grooming salon for many years previously.... They are extremely overpriced, and several years ago they refused to service my dogs For reasons they would not disclose.
I have found several locally owned salons with much more affordable pricing and extremely friendly And wonderful to my dogs

5645 Pyramid Way, SparksWe have used Spanish Springs Pet Resort for day care and boarding. The boarding includes a home like sleeping arrangement instead of a kennel. We took the opportunity to arrange an cuddle session each day that our Chihuahua terrier mix was in their care. They were so attentive to our dog and sent photos regularly. Our minds were really put at ease leaving our canine family member with them.

481 Los Altos Pkwy, SparksThis place uses high pressure water stream to clean car, so no dirty brushes or foam strips scraping your car. I used this place for many years, it had glitches before where it soaped up my car and stopped working, I called the number and they gave me code for new wash at different station. I think they fixed it because had no issues lately. Car looks clean enough for a wash without getting out of the car. Gets bugs off the windshield.

875 Greg St, SparksThis place is awesome we were traveling for work for weeks in the Reno Sparks area and looking for a place for our older Jack Rozzie to go during the day so not left by herself at the rental house for long periods of time and On Command was a perfect fit from the friendly staff,easy drop off and pickup, we can drop off for dog daycare from 6:30am till 7pm and they even have boarding and a onsite grooming salon so when she needs a quick bath able to get her one and they have a wide age range of dogs and sizes which is great! My older Jack Russel actually gets super excited to go here daily i highly reccomend and we will be using everytime we visit for work in the Reno area which will be often!! We love this place

We brought in our particularly spicy senior chihuahua and they handled him with love and care. They went above and beyond to explain his treatment to us. Special shout out to Thomas cutting his pills for us so we wouldn’t have to when we got home. Great follow up from Dr.Caldwell the next day with his blood results. Thank you desert hills!

My introduction to Dr. Musick came when he correctly diagnosed my cat with an illness four other vets had missed. Instead of paying for ineffective solutions and prolonging my pet’s suffering, I was given the right information to make the best decision. He communicates directly and with genuine compassion.
Since then Dr. Musick has treated six of my dogs and several of my cats. I trust his advice completely and my animals love him.
In addition, this is a very well-run and organized practice. Brandy who handles front office admin couldn’t be quicker or more professional and is a master of communication. Appointments are on time and pricing is fair. The vet techs, too, are wonderful with animals especially Megan who’s been helping my pets for a few years now.
Wingfield Springs used to be my local vet until I moved. Now, I make the 40 minute trek across town to come here simply because I believe Dr. Musick and his team are the best!

Sr. Mansfield and his tech were more than welcoming and I felt like they took top notch care of my dog. Couldn’t be happier with the level and thoroughness of the service she received. On top of that the doc and staff followed up with me the next two days in a row to check in to make sure I how my dog was doing and answer any questions that I had regarding her treatment plan. Couldn’t recommend another veterinary office highly enough.

I understand what I pay for with my wellness plan. I communicate with my vets, Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Thomas. Allison the clinic manager has been nothing but helpful and supportive.Rachel is typically at the front desk and has always been helpful. I can’t thank the staff enough really. We lost one of our fur babies this year and the constant communication and just checking in with us on how we were and sadness because they too lost a patient they loved as well. I think most reviews that crap on the clinic are people that don’t understand basic pet care and responsibility sometimes. Asking questions is important for you as the owner of your pet. If you don’t understand what you’re paying for then don’t agree to the procedures.

The insurance company at first refused my claim. Then the Sage staff helped me submit it again and I got paid. You can tell the people at Sage really love animals.

At age 7, we thought it may be too late to train our little one. Finding Marie and PackPerfect K9 has been a godsend. Marie has worked with Kaia and with us in a positive nurturing way and Kaia has responded so well. She is confident, listens and obeys commands, does great around other dogs and people. We started with private lessons and now Kaia visits Marie and other dogs in a group setting. She is so happy and well adjusted. We could not be happier. Marie knows her stuff and is a caring and loving teacher.

Dog Training by PJ
395 Freeport Blvd #1, SparksI first went to PJs 13 years ago with my first goldendoodle. We started in the puppy social classes when he was 9 weeks old as he had his first set of shots. We went onto do 3 levels of classes with him. Classes were hands down the best investment we made for him, and he went on to live a wonderful fear-free life. I attribute his high quality of life to his basic training classes and the time we put in when he was a puppy. He learned from a very young age how to settle and be calm in lots of different situations. He learned to trust our directions which kept him safe. Puppy social is in my opinion one of the best classes to put a young puppy in. They get to meet other dogs and people in a safe environment, and the puppies teach each other soft bite and learn how to be social. We recently brought a new puppy into our lives. I love the structure of Pjs classes where your puppy is with the same dogs for the 6-week duration. The happy little puppies can all see each other during the class at Pjs, no barriers (unless required to reduce stress of the pet). I like the scaffolding approach that PJs classes offer. You build the dogs’ confidence and skills up in a logical way for them to learn. Plus, the puppies are all watching each other learn the same things. It’s adorable. Our new puppy has done several levels of classes at Pjs’ beautiful new facility in Sparks and HE LOVES IT. He just completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen, we can now consider therapy work down the road with him. He is so excited to get in the door for any play group I take him to and to his classes. We absolutely loved Rally O with Susie, she is amazing. We have referred Susie to friends with some rescues for consultations and they have been super happy.
We will complete all the classes PJ dog training offers, because our dog just loves to learn, he really likes to use his brain. He exudes happiness when we get to class. Thank you, PJ and Susie, for helping us raise a happy confident dog yet again and offering such great classes. Highly recommend Pjs, they have so much experience and are CCPTD certified. They also give you time at the beginning of any class for a quick discussion on any “challenge areas”. You learn so much to help you understand your dog’s behavior. All classes use positive reinforcement. You learn to build a trusting relationship with your furry family members from a place of respect and love. The facility is always so clean, and they take excellent care in making sure your puppies are safe and not exposed to any bugs. We have never had any problems. 10 stars from us!!

Aunt Kim's Dog House Boarding
325 5th St, SparksOur family was traveling through Reno and we wanted to explore the city for the day, so I found Aunt Kim on Yelp and she immediately got back to me and agreed to pet sit our mini dachshund that same day (Father's Day). It was a very easy, simple drop-off and pick-up process. Aunt Kim let us view the backyard and house while we were there too. Fee was phenomenally LOW for watching our pup for 6 hours! We definitely recommend Aunt Kim if you want to avoid all the red tape and high costs of other pet daycares in town. :)

They usually have at least one Russian River brew on tap and I really like that about this establishment as I think RR has consistently great beer. They have salads, pizza/flatbread, prezels and nachos for food, many bottled or canned beers and non alcoholic options. Great neighborhood hangout- trivia, bingo, craft/art nights and other special events. We always feel welcome and they treat everyone including the staff with a lot of respect-- I like seeing that at a business.

Everything was so good! Position size was huge, flavours were amazing! Really loved this place. It's a small space with limited seating, but people were constantly coming in for dining in or take away. Service was quick as well.
