They even had ferrets, which my kiddo loved. And they do have gold fish but soon adding more fish. Turtles and lizards they have a well. All around great store and people.

I used petco grooming salon for many years previously.... They are extremely overpriced, and several years ago they refused to service my dogs For reasons they would not disclose.
I have found several locally owned salons with much more affordable pricing and extremely friendly And wonderful to my dogs

I used this place for many years, it had glitches before where it soaped up my car and stopped working, I called the number and they gave me code for new wash at different station. I think they fixed it because had no issues lately. Car looks clean enough for a wash without getting out of the car. Gets bugs off the windshield.

875 Greg St, SparksThis place is awesome we were traveling for work for weeks in the Reno Sparks area and looking for a place for our older Jack Rozzie to go during the day so not left by herself at the rental house for long periods of time and On Command was a perfect fit from the friendly staff,easy drop off and pickup, we can drop off for dog daycare from 6:30am till 7pm and they even have boarding and a onsite grooming salon so when she needs a quick bath able to get her one and they have a wide age range of dogs and sizes which is great! My older Jack Russel actually gets super excited to go here daily i highly reccomend and we will be using everytime we visit for work in the Reno area which will be often!! We love this place

We brought in our particularly spicy senior chihuahua and they handled him with love and care. They went above and beyond to explain his treatment to us. Special shout out to Thomas cutting his pills for us so we wouldn’t have to when we got home. Great follow up from Dr.Caldwell the next day with his blood results. Thank you desert hills!

760 Baring Blvd, SparksMy furbaby was diagnosed with liver cancer by another vet in town and that vet said my dog only had a wk or two weeks to live. Despite the news being devastating, I searched for a second opinion and was directed to Dr.Baker and his wonderful team. Long story short, Dr.Baker and his team worked quickly to find the best care despite there being limited options for my pup. The option we chose was the chemo treatment and we did see some successes. If it wasn't for their care we wouldn't have had an extra year with our furbaby, Bourbon. My pup had many health challenges though and Dr.Baker was very responsive even scheduling visits on his lunch break to make sure our furbaby had the best care. As far as billing goes- if you have pet insurance this team submits claims on your behalf and it doesnt matter which insurance company you have. This was very helpful for us!! As far as compassionate- they are the best and our furbaby loved it here too. After our furbaby completed the chemo treatment program, Lisa and the team gifted Bourbon a sowed bear and a personalized dog tag that said "cancer survivor." They really do the little things that matter here. I can't say enough great things about the team. YOU CAN TRUST THEM WITH YOUR FURBABY!! Thank you- Dr. Baker, Dr. Parke, Shannon, CJ, Alex, Hannah, Ashleigh, & Lisa for all the love you gave Bourbon ??

VCA Baring Boulevard Animal Hospital
700 Baring Blvd, SparksDr. Baker and his staff (especially Shannon!) have given our corgi so much more time after his Stage IV lymphoma diagnosis. Another clinic in town refused to see him due to his vet aggression. Dr. Baker, Shannon, and the rest of the staff gave him a chance. Not only did they get him through 1 round of chemo (now on round 2), his aggression at the vet is so much better. He needs much less sedative and anti-anxiety meds to have his infusions. He will run to the door of the vet when he gets out of the car. We cannot thank VCA baring enough for giving us more time with our firstborn fur baby.

The insurance company at first refused my claim. Then the Sage staff helped me submit it again and I got paid. You can tell the people at Sage really love animals.

I understand what I pay for with my wellness plan. I communicate with my vets, Dr. Hamilton and Dr. Thomas. Allison the clinic manager has been nothing but helpful and supportive.Rachel is typically at the front desk and has always been helpful. I can’t thank the staff enough really. We lost one of our fur babies this year and the constant communication and just checking in with us on how we were and sadness because they too lost a patient they loved as well. I think most reviews that crap on the clinic are people that don’t understand basic pet care and responsibility sometimes. Asking questions is important for you as the owner of your pet. If you don’t understand what you’re paying for then don’t agree to the procedures.

At age 7, we thought it may be too late to train our little one. Finding Marie and PackPerfect K9 has been a godsend. Marie has worked with Kaia and with us in a positive nurturing way and Kaia has responded so well. She is confident, listens and obeys commands, does great around other dogs and people. We started with private lessons and now Kaia visits Marie and other dogs in a group setting. She is so happy and well adjusted. We could not be happier. Marie knows her stuff and is a caring and loving teacher.

The Bark House

The workers are so loving and caring towards Astro. When I drop Astro off now, he runs out and straight to the front door of the facility. He's so eager to see his friends and the workers. We are very appreciative to find such a great daycare.

Aunt Kim's Dog House Boarding
325 5th St, SparksOur family was traveling through Reno and we wanted to explore the city for the day, so I found Aunt Kim on Yelp and she immediately got back to me and agreed to pet sit our mini dachshund that same day (Father's Day). It was a very easy, simple drop-off and pick-up process. Aunt Kim let us view the backyard and house while we were there too. Fee was phenomenally LOW for watching our pup for 6 hours! We definitely recommend Aunt Kim if you want to avoid all the red tape and high costs of other pet daycares in town. :)

I was starving and was literally about to go to the gym when I stopped by to get a slider, some chicken tenders and fries. the cashier notice I was short in change so, him and his manager assisted me with my order, thus exceeding my day with gratitude and appreciation I had to compliment them in person and with this feedback. I didn't expect them to go out there way to make sure I was satisfied and taken care of. Everything was so good! Position size was huge, flavours were amazing! Really loved this place. It's a small space with limited seating, but people were constantly coming in for dining in or take away. Service was quick as well.

We usually grab meat here for throwing asada on the grill and each time we're never disappointed! The bakery is great as well has fresh bread, conchas and other sweets! But my favorite part is the tacos they make there. It's surprisingly some of the best tacos I've had in Reno and Sparks! The meat tastes great no matter what choice you make for your tacos! The fish tacos they serve here are awesome as well, they taste like what you'd expect at a sit down restaurant not a market. Prices here aren't bad at all too for the great quality of cooked food you're getting. The service is always friendly and there's even a handful of tables if you choose to stop in for some fresh tacos or tortas! You won't be disappointed giving this store a chance next time you crave tacos that's for sure. Gotta be one of my favorite spots easily.

Scoopers Drive-in
1356 Prater Way, SparksScoopers. I started going there more than 25 years ago. Best shakes anywhere! I've traveled to darn near every State in the union. Been to a variety of countries. Non really, scoopers had the best shakes.
The rest of their food is pretty good too.
Prices are surprisingly reasonably. Maybe on the slightly low side, but that depends on what you're used to I guess.

This is not a dedicated Pho place, but they do have a few choices of Pho entrees to choose from. For not being a Pho place, the Pho was good... not great but not terrible either. Would I come back? I would! They do a variety of other items on their menu that I wouldn't mind trying out.
